- My weight gain journal is back! And if you're wondering how I'd gain weight from these recipes, I'm drinking weight gainer shakes in between and it's going well. I'm using Dymatize Super Mass Gainer in vanilla with oat milk.

Love your videos! Coming from a Food Science perspective, the purple-redish color in the meat just means there's a higher concentration of myoglobin. In other words, it's a more fresh cut compared to the other ones due to less oxygen exposure. The oxidation stages for beef usually go from purple-red>red>brownish red. Hope that helps! :)

Barista here: califia barista oat steams the closest to regular full fat milk. Nothing will really steam too well if there aren’t fats. Some brands add different oils into the milk so that they emulsify and froth better. Tip of frother on espresso machines usually have a tiny line on the tip of the wands. You want the line to be barely visible when the pitcher reaches about body temperature dunk the wand under by like half a cm. Froth until you feel it’s just hot. If milk hits boiling point of water it scalds the milk and the proteins become different.
i just tried this today with the califia barista oat milk and it's true, froths great!

the easiest way to get rid of eggshells that fell into your eggs is to use the bigger eggshell to scoop it out
i heard that the oat milk from costco is not bad for steaming... annie's i think. also i think you need to just add more air to your milk. let the tip of the steam wand just barely go under the surface of the milk for like 30 secs and then insert the wand deeper till its the temp you want

For the egg shells, I find that wetting my fingers first and going in to grab shells are a lot easier! Also, try moma oat milk for your next coffee

The best non dairy milk that froths well and is creamy is Chobani Oat milk. I get the regular plain version, don't need the extra creamy (unless you wanna go for that). It's definitely my go-to for adding it to coffee. Makes your coffee creamy, nothing else compares (and I've tried many). It has a smooth taste and elevates the coffee flavor. 🙂

to be honest, you don't eat that much. i'm 5'7, in my mid 20s and i consume about 3 times more than what you just showed and i weight about 150 👀 i personally have always ate a lot and was an athlete growing up so maybe my body just got accustomed to eating a lot and developing more muscles
Easiest way to remove bits of eggshells is to scope with a cracked eggshell.
adding some chinese cooking wine & soy sauce (1:2) to the fish when steaming can help reduce the fishy taste :)
Use the cracked egg shell to scoop up egg shell piece. Works every time.

If your meat is red it means they were fed carbon monoxide to make it look fresh, if it's brown it means it hasn't been injected with monoxide or the monoxide wore out and it went to the original color.

Oooo you should try the: califia oat milk barista blend but make sure its the barista blend in a small blue carton and not the plastic bottle! Its super good and a little goes a long way with this oat milk 🙃 not sure about the ingredient haha

Hot tip: Try butter (or a vegan one) when you make French toast. You end up using way less and it gets the bread super crispy.

A little tip when you're making a latte. First steam your milk (I use Oatly Barista edition), pour it in your cup of choice. Than make your coffee in a little can and pour it into the milk. It's the best!

@@WahWu the cashew milk makes it slightly sweet and more creamy. You're already paying good $ for the brang of milk your buying. Go to sprouts and get you some raw cashews. I promise you won't be disappointed.

The red in a steak has to do with how much blood is still in it. In regular grocery stores they’ll sometimes dye the meat so it looks like it has more blood. 🥲
