Tom Brady is garbage. You guys should've got rid of him years before I retired and signed me. @@dopeascopebrother60 True, but I never thought they were out of it, or stopped watching. Because they had the Seattle comeback, and a handful of other comebacks even before Atlanta.
SCE2AUX2 if you're talking about Pete Carol's call at the end, I absolutely agree with you 100%. That was such a great call. Carol is a coach that likes to surprise the other team and that was just such a great call. The only reason people despise of it is because it didn't work. If that play did work, everyone would be saying it was a great call. So I agree with you completely
The obvious call would have been Lynch up the middle. A pass would have worked to save time, and would have been a good idea if it had been a fade. The fact that Russell seemed to be taking his time may have tipped off the Pats to anticipate the pass.
As a Seahawks fan. I will say this was one of the best Super Bowl games I’ve watched. An absolute slug fest between two heavyweights and maybe the most nerve racking.
as a seahawks fan this still makes my heart hurt jus wanna cry sometimes he had that superbowl in the bag n pete called one of the worst plays our qb did his job the defense jus steped up n our wr got blindsided by him but ay it was still a good game
zyzz zyzz they were stuffing the run, they gave it to Lynch like 3 times previously and the Pats were slowing him down, if they gave it to him a 4th time, Pats were more than ready to shut him down on another drive, it was too predictable. The Pats had them figured out in the redzone.
@@pollogaming919 That's absurd. Did you actually watch the video??!! Seahawks running their mouths especially Pete Carroll, Sherman and Kearse. They were crying in the end though.
I love listening to coach Belichick giving his raw address to his team about trusting eachother and everybody doing their job at 3:49. What a great message from a legendary head coach. Its often times the simple messages that motivates players. Theres no mystery here fellas, just trusting eachother, and everybody doing their job.
This was the game that solidified Brady as the best of all time. Against that defense. No other team prior to this game ever came back against Seattle when they were down double digits in the last quarter. Brady went 9-9 in that final drive. This was the game that put Brady ahead of Montana. The one versus Atlanta carved it in stone.
The Highground. Montana didn’t feast on subpar defenses?? The Dolphins and Bronco’s teams he played were no match to the beyond stacked 49ers. The Bengals gave Montana a low scoring 2 outings on the Superbowl. Luckily for him Montana’s defense was stout af. Montana was never asked to put up numbers Brady had to.
Riften. Patrick Mahomes has outdone every QB in NFL history with numbers at age 23, BY A LOT!!!! We still have to see what he does in terms of championships. Mahomes already lost to Brady and the Pats.
the ending of this video made me feel emotions i didnt want to. Such a great team, franchise and players. over came all the drama and came out on top. So many great characters on this team, and you can tell they are family off the field. No other place i rather be than Pats Nation!!
Watch this from 'A Football Life: Bill Belichick' ua-cam.com/video/UEc-yI2kTT0/v-deo.html from 12:02 - 15:00.. that is how he starts to build the family before the season starts.
I was pissed but at half time my husband gave me a little pep talk and said... it’s Brady and Belichick... they’ll figure it out. And then he went and made me a drink 😂
if you watch the last play..especially diff angles/videos..you can see malcolm butler reading that play perfectly..what a tremendous heads up play..probably the best single play by a player in super bowl history!....he also made a GREAT defensive play the play before the last play..but got an unlucky break with the tip ball
Butler made 4 outstanding plays in the fourth quarter. On the pass after lynchs catch that got them to the 50 on 1st and 10 Wilson threw another one to Kearse its not shown here but he made a great play to knock it down. Huge veteran like skills. Then on the ball Kearse caught like you said he got way up and knocked the ball away if dummy Harmon went for the ball or at least kicked it instead of leaping over everyone Malcolm would have been credited with a great break-up
Terrific Troll Excellent work for such a young and inexperienced guy. You could have put an established, top level defender in his place and very few could have done what Butler did.
I'm glad you said that about the previous play (kearse's catch) THAT was probably the best defensive play ever that failed Butler goes up and he's like five feet off the ground, parallel to the gound, fully extended to get a hand on the ball and knocks it away only because it hits Kearse's knee it bounced into his hands was it a catch . Just a spectacular effort. Could not have been played better.
John Doe Are you kidding me man? The Seahawks are a team full of the most arrogant/immature, classles douch bags in the entire league.. You think you have any right even commenting on this..? Ha, that trip was pathetic, and you'll never see anyone on that Patriot team doing something as cheap as that. People don't have respect for Seattle for a reason. And it's displayed in this whole video. Can't even handle a loss without starting a fight at the end..
***** perfectly said, Seattle has a team chalk full of amazing athletes, but most of them have poor attitudes, the Patriots of all teams play with the most class
Malcolm go! I saw a documentary where the Pats practiced that exact play for that exact situation. Belichick is the master of preparing a team for every possible scenario.
If you can't see my profile pic (it's acting up)Since im a guard and a defensive end getting hit pumps me up...you should have seen when they chop blocked me they got into a 4 point and jumped at my knees so next play I got my knee up and smashed the back of their pads.
You know you saying he "cheated" because he asked for less air in a football just to grip it alittle better when that's literally every other QB in the NFL? he cheated to get a superbowl like seattle didn't throw a slant route?
+Rohit Kaushal lol omg, excuses, excuses, excuses, you do know that EVERY quarterback in the nfl likes their footballs different right? aaron rodgers puts more air in his footballs, does that make him a cheater? nope, and besides, brady literally took like a tiny tiny amount of air out, the psi was like 12, when usually its like 12.5
+lzn60 Nobody talks about the obvious missed DPI call on Arrington. He just tripped Kearse from behind. But even less people remember that. It's history though.
+Banana Man There were lots of calls in this game that probably could've been made but weren't and so we can speculate about all of them, but it's pointless. First of all though, picks by refs are not illegal. Receivers use that all the time, it's part of the game. The ref maybe could've done a better job getting out of the way, but Revis should also know that that is an obstacle you have to account for on shallow crossing routes like that. But to return to my original point, the DPI (on Butler actually and he tripped Lockette not Kearse), definitely should've been called, but there was also at least one, if not two, OPIs that could've been called on Chris Matthews on each of those deep balls. Then there's also a helmet-to-helmet hit by Kam Chancellor on Julian Edelman on 3rd and 15. Now obviously that last one isn't a big deal since the Patriots scored on that drive anyway, but the point is that things get missed. It happens.
Set Beni No they don't, not unless you completely ignore one entire right side of the scrum that erupted into a fight or focus exclusively on Gronk and not look at what set Gronk off.
Set Beni I've watched it a hundred times...Seahawks linebacker, Irvin, #51 started the fight, that's why he was ejected from the game. If you're gonna say the Pats started it, be specific.
Best night of my life. I still get chills every time. Brady’s reaction was pure happiness. I don’t know how anyone could think he is a cheater or say the things they do about him. He has worked SO hard to achieve what he has. That reaction was from someone who truly earned it.
man this game was the most anxiety I've ever had in my life... as a diehard patriot fan after that bobbling catch in the clutch to belicheck not calling a timeout of the last seconds of the game then the amazing interception by Malcolm butler .... my god.... I would call this one of the greatest football games ever played!!!!! crazyyyyy
Tom Brady will go down as the most underrated draft pick of all time. The NFL had no idea what that skinny kid from Michigan would end up accomplishing.
I used to sit down on the couch and re watch this game over and over again every morning with some cereal when I was like 5 or 6. I was addicted to this game 😂
Rocky XXI 51 is both of those superbowls combined on steroids you had new england down and crazy playes by both Julio and Edelman let's be honest the Edelman catch was the game changer.
Rocky XXI they're not choke games your dumb. They're considered some of the greatest comeback Superbowls ever. Every Superbowl the patriots are apart of are nail biters
***** Little bit of luck though too...if the Pats saw something truly amazing in Brady, 3rd round at least, they drafted him as a "what the hell, i see some potential in this kid who has been clutch in college, lets give him a shot"
benandreas369 Not just that, but remember that they kept him on as a fourth QB in 2000. Never do the Pats keep a fourth, but they didn't want to take the chance on losing him. They gave up a roster spot in 2000 just to keep Brady. What a brilliant move in reflection.
Seahawks fans complain about missed penalty calls in this game, but let me tell y'all something: Kam Chancellor DEFINITELY made a helmet-to-helmet hit on Edelman, and nobody called a 15-yard penalty on them. As far as I'm concerned, with the ref setting that pick on Revis for Baldwin's TD catch, we were dead even. Also, Michael Bennett is a classless tool for tripping Tom Brady after the Amendola TD catch.
The ref is a part of the game so Baldwin picking him on Revis was totally legal. If you watched video of the Patriots game they do the same thing to their opponents. Nothing illegal about it; its all part of the game.
Yeah, I saw that. I'm surprised that the refs didn't call that one, but I'm not going to complain (I'm a Seahawks fan). Yeah, great game and congrats to the Patriots!
Dude I am a pats fan and have huge respect for the Seahawks. You might feel pain for the rest of your life, (you will) but there will be more in the future, trust me. That feeling of despair and sadness and helplessness you feel when the fact they blew the game hits you, I had to feel twice. It gets better, sorta, not really...dammit Brady we could have been undefeated.
Brady has stopped a lot of dynasties over his career: Rams and the Greatest Show on Turf, the Seahawks and the Legion of Boom, now Kansas City and Patrick “Kermit the Frog” Mahomes. It’s never your dynasty, it is always Tom Brady’s and you’re just unlucky to play in these decades
Hahah never noticed that. Hightowers tackle on the play before the interception was just as noteworthy as the pick. Dude bench pressed the tackle off of him and shoulder tackled Lynch down short of the goal line.
It had to have been Overwhelming for him. An outsider rookie you know and you save your teams ass in the biggest game of the year. Amazing story it was for 2014 pats indeed.
10:47 And plus, the defensive coordinator just made the decision to put Malcolm in that play so imagine how different it would be had he, out of all of the CB's, been chosen to go in.
The best part of this whole thing is when Sherman says "He's scared" I believe referring to Brady and the next scene you see is Wilson saying "Have confidence in me down here, Have confidence in me down here" Little did they know...
Sherman thought he could do to Tom Brady what he did to Peyton Manning a year previous, he was dead wrong. And after this game, he will never forget what Tom Brady did to him and his team. Go Pats!
If you really thought he "almost" took Brady's heart, you weren't really paying attention. He didn't come close and no one really has in Brady's career. Yes Brady has lost some Super Bowls (and yes he was a yard from losing this one), but his spirit has never left him. No one can take Brady's heart, not Sherman, not Eli, not Rodgers, and certainly not Peyton. Tommy Brady still has all the fight and the hunger from his youth, and that's helped him get back to this game and earn this moment.
multiplemike In the 2 superbowls the Patriots lost in, Brady got them the lead late in the game. It was the defense that lost the games on both occassions and nearly this superbowl as well.
vividexstance Not entirely accurate. In the 11' SB Pats scored on the first possession of the 2nd half to go up 17-9 and failed to score again the rest of the game. All about the welker drop in that game. Would have set the Pats up for at least a FG and possibly milk most of the clock to go up 5. Defense totally let them down in the last drive in 07'.....no doubt about it on that one.
brady is the greatest qb of all time.. 1. been to more super bowls than anyone else 2. tied for most super bowl wins all time 3. most post season td's all time 4. most post season wins all time as a starter 5. tied for most super bowl mvp's all time for you haters out there... he has litrally every stat better than Montana.. with less talent, and a revolving door of receivers through his career..
ourpersonalthoughts it might be his 16 touchdowns a year that you like? or his 3 one and dones in the playoffs? face it, if brady had no salary cap, and the patriots would actually give him a receiver, it wouldn't even be a conversation
This game reached its level of hype and more. The Seahawks defense and the pats offense clashing was a great battle and I can't wait to watch it again this year #gohawks
Yeah, the game felt like a movie, with it coming down to the wire, edge of your seat excitement, Kearse's magnificent catch, and Butler the unknown "rookie free agent" making the ultimate interception, at the goal line no less. This music and editing gets the movie aspect across very well.
musicaltheatergeek79 Also, watching one of the greatest Quarterbacks ever to play the game VS someone who can potentially be one of the best. Two of the number 1 one teams who play completely different doing what they do best and seeing how they react towards one another. Two undrafted players on each side doing spectacular. This game was the essence of sports: two teams basically playing chess.
Adgeatic I know right? The greatest QB of our generation vs the greatest defense of our generation in a brawl to the wire. I'm a diehard Pats fan but damn, the Seahawks are a HELL of a matchup. Gave a good run for our money. What a game.
@@user-ft4bl4lh9w the safety or whoever read his eyes. As a qb you cant stare down the wr so you know you have a mismatch on the weak side you look to the strong side so the safety cant jump the pass and make a play

How would they second guess that
SCE2AUX2 if you're talking about Pete Carol's call at the end, I absolutely agree with you 100%.
An absolute slug fest between two heavyweights and maybe the most nerve racking.

zyzz zyzz they were stuffing the run, they gave it to Lynch like 3 times previously and the Pats were slowing him down, if they gave it to him a 4th time, Pats were more than ready to shut him down on another drive, it was too predictable. The Pats had them figured out in the redzone.

This was the game that solidified Brady as the best of all time. Against that defense. No other team prior to this game ever came back against Seattle when they were down double digits in the last quarter. Brady went 9-9 in that final drive. This was the game that put Brady ahead of Montana. The one versus Atlanta carved it in stone.
bolts16rock Jesus Christ y’all act like Brady is the only one on the team
Lmao, hes already outdone by Patrick Mahomes.
Wolf J Gamer. He’s not, no one ever is obviously. But what he’s done cements his legendary status.

if you watch the last play..especially diff angles/videos..you can see malcolm butler reading that play perfectly..what a tremendous heads up play..probably the best single play by a player in super bowl history!....he also made a GREAT defensive play the play before the last play..but got an unlucky break with the tip ball
Brandon Browner told him exactly what was going to happen.

+Ryan Bullas I know there isnt a rule. But he shouldve done a better job of moving out of the way.
lmao darn I seen that!
It happens.

It's not like we're proud of Michael Bennett, he's just really good so we need him.
Space Corgi You don't need him. You only need beast mode. Without him, the rest of your team is worthless.
The ref is a part of the game so Baldwin picking him on Revis was totally legal. If you watched video of the Patriots game they do the same thing to their opponents. Nothing illegal about it; its all part of the game.
Also running in to the kicker, the defender actually ran on the Punter's plant leg which should be a personal foul/ 15 Yard Penalty but what a game

In the 2 superbowls the Patriots lost in, Brady got them the lead late in the game. It was the defense that lost the games on both occassions and nearly this superbowl as well.

Not entirely accurate.

The best part of the game wasn’t the Kearse Catch or the Butler Interception.
