    Very cool, an encounter with feral donkeys, an upside down tree, awesome views. Always worth dropping in on this channel.

      @@SailorJamesI thought New Zealand was named "Aotea" because of the canoes?

    • @SailorJames
      @SailorJames  9 місяців тому +1

      No, Aotearoa means “Land of the long white cloud” but this name and mythology appears to have come about after first contact. Before that the Māori people never referred to the islands as one country but as their separate names Te Ika-a-Māui and Te Waipounamu

    That tree got hit by a massive wave . It was knocked down but not dead .it started growing towards the sun. Mother nature is amazing.

    Am enjoying this season in New Zealand. Thank you for sharing your experiences, I've never seen the donkey with a cross although I have heard of them. and then to place feet on the bird sanctuary is also a wonderful legacy that the Salvation Army has given us. Thnx James.

    I believe the reverse tree has put its keel down and has sent it sales up as it’s gotten closer to the ocean! The roots growing vertical for fresh air and water :-)

      I am a firm believer in science and have no issues getting vaccines, many counties around the world require various vaccines for visitors to enter, for the safety of the traveler and their own citizens.
