Hello Moe, Yes thats correct! With our 18v battery you will get a lot more thrust. We are going to be offering pre-order of this upgraded battery on our site soon.
@@PacMotor Why are 18V batteries so hard to find? Or…. Why don’t people seem to use them? Will you guys be selling a 100ah lithium 18v battery? I can’t seem to locate one anywhere.
@@MoeBergOSS Hello Moe, so the 18V battery that I mentioned in the video is actually a 16 volt battery at normal level. The reason why I called it 18V is at full charge it reaches 18V but then after some use it will normalize at 16V. It is a 5s lifepo4 battery. We are producing 50Ah units
@@PacMotor So…. You guys used a 16v better, which I can’t find anywhere online with your new motors that works with a 16v battery. What am I missing here? With the upgraded motor which will be faster and stronger, what sized battery will be required?
@@MoeBergOSS Hey, I will be adding the 16V to our website for pre-order very soon. The manufactory has already started. I expect we go live with pre-orders in a week or two
Hello, Thanks for the question. We will be including a 10 Amp charger that will take 5 hours to fully charge from empty. But the battery will be compatible with up to 20-25Amp chargers and will complete a full charger in 2 or 2.5 hours to full charge.
@@PacMotor Awesome thanks. I plan on using your motor next summer to assist me in floating about 100 miles of the Brazos River in Texas. Hopefully I can charge it with 100-200 watt solar panels as I paddle.
No, but it does work up to 20V and we recommend our 18V battery pack that is becoming available for pre-order soon! It will give almost double the thrust!
You are always using a little tiny kayak with no gear on. With my Hobie PA 14 loaded with all my camping stuff and all my fishing gear I only got to 1.7 mph.
@@DenisHoule-w5f The motor was never meant for speed. It’s meant to be able to assist, to troll and to maneuver easier. If you want fast then a torqueedo is what you want.
Hey Denis, You need our higher-voltage battery! It makes a big difference. We will be offering the 16-18V battery pre-order next month, and it will arrive in November! Because you are a previous supporter, you will be eligible for a big discount on the battery.
@@PacMotor Hi Matt what about that big discount as a precious supporter? 651.00usd for a battery and now with a 35% discount it is still very expensive in Canadian dollar with taxes shipping customs.
I just made a "pre-order". Which battery will it be?
@@larrywaits758 hello Larry, I’ll mark your account for the higher trust battery!
@@PacMotor you are awesome... thank you
Want with the 18 system
Yes, I eventually want everyone to use our 18v battery. Once they are available, the thrust output will be a lot more, thus making it more fun!
Is the 24 volt support not possible because of the controller or the motors or both? Those batteries are a lot easier and less expensive to get.
The motors can support it, but having the internal PCB and heat distribution control is why it's not supported yet. Something we are looking at
Interested in this 18V battery upgrade for my PacMotor. Could you provide the battery box dimensions please? Thx
Hello that would be awesome! The extra power is great. The battery size is roughly 14.5" x 12" x 4.5"
I’m new to this concept. If I understand the 12v vs 18v, the difference is power and top speed of the 18v, right?

We are targeting for roughtly the same cost once available
