Thanks Coach, I watch all your stuff, really appreciate your knowledge and style. I've been coaching my kid all the way up from flag fb in kindergarten and now he's in in tackle in 7th grade. I'm going to follow him up through highschool coaching him and these videos are a great resource for us. Thank you again!
He's back!!! Thanks for the shout out for the veteran followers at the end, there, coach! Hard to believe it's been 9 years... As always, got some questions for ya: 1) On the trips adjustment, couldnt you in theory use the same slight inside deep hook route against solo and mix so it's less to install? Wouldn't the deep hook still be effective at pulling the poach player and opening up space behind as the cross hook would be? The cross hook would probably be better against the poach player, but in the Playfast world, better is the enemy of sufficient haha 2) On the seam option against 3 deep for the choice WR, does the deep hook route by the opposite WR help keep the deep hole player from cheating to help on the seam? If not, could that be a concern with the seam option? 3) Closer to the beginning, you mentioned routes you might use on the outside if you were getting press, what would you be looking at for those? As kind of an aside, for what it's worth, I've recently been coming across more and more folks who are getting away from 4 verticals for various reasons, and running either a half field verticals/half field of some other concept like Smash, Scissors, etc, or something different altogether from verticals that still gets you 4 guys deep. I think 4 verticals can be an expensive play, especially if you run it the Mike Leach way, or like one of those folks with a million conversion rules off of it, and it's not your base play, maybe isnt worth all that investment.
Yes on question 1. 3 deep is an issue since we won’t get 2 seams. Might need to run the slot fade if we can get corner to play comeback. I’ve never been a huge 4 verts fan. Thanks for all the years following!!!
Coach I may have asked this on a different vid but Hudl is too expensive......I leave for Germany to Coach in the Bayernliga and we looking into Justplay. For a team of about 40 players and 4 coaches what would u estimate the cost for a season would be
@@rahmanrot341 It's a lot like quarters if you are familiar with quarters, high safety plays #2 if #2 goes vertical, if #2 goes out anywhere before LB depth, the CB takes #2 and the high safety looks for #1. If #1 is vertical, high safety gets over top of them; if not, the high safety basically "floats" deep. There's a lot of variation between how different teams play Palms beyond what is above, but that is the defining characteristics of Palms

That is awesome!!!
Coach could you do a video on different adjustments to gap schemes? Or conceptually how to build a complimentary offense?
I can try
@@CoachMac would love an effort! Thank you 🙏🏼
