Drogba was a real monster! Complete striker, owner of great intelligence, excellent technique, monstrous physical strength and fantastic sense of goal. True baller, living legend!
I agree that all , respect to save .
Se jogasse num Milan aquela epoca iria ter mais gols !!
U've forgotten to say and defender too
I ARE TOOOO MUCH
excellent technique? not so much
Drogba is the best striker Chelsea has ever had. he is a beast.
Monster
I agree...so unreal 💪💪💪
Lukaka is better
Top 5 of all time!
also one of the top Prem players. the disrespect shown to him proves the anti West African bias by UK football pundits . Look and son captain of spurs for example of a double standard , hes 1/10th the player Drogba is and won ZERO trophies yet trying to appeal to the nationalist and lucrative south korean market he gets hyped to the moon plus multi part amazon documentaries..
Again Didier Drogba is one of the greatest players in prem history but Massively disrespected (like most big west African starts in the prem) by UK press.

Only footballer who was able to stop a Civil War. Maximum respect👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Pelé did first 😎
@@joedalmeida5204it's not about who did first but about how they did it...the issue is..they did it
Yes but he was correcting he who said Drogba was the, "only footballer" @@dandee7414
When you have cech in goal post , terry in defence, lampard in midfield and drogba upfront.. no need to worry, really missed the old blue
Dribbling, sprinting, finishing, skills, mentality, composure, power, elegance, passing... He had it all. Best striker for my blues, ever.
Completely agree!!!! The only other that has even remotely come close is diego costa... man i miss those guys
Arsenal fans bang on about Henry. You were the team who had the true best.
His most underrated skill was well...his skill and technique on the ball. But English commentators and pundits back then had the whole world believing he was all about brute force. Prime examole is when he was denied player of the year in 2010 when he was on 29 EPL goals with1or no pens and about 16 assists (record is 20 I believe by Henry) while Rooney had 26 EPL goals with a number of pens and still won it ahead of DD who won the league with Chelsea. Don't forget he missed over a month in AFCON. Giggs won it the year before with 2 goals mark you!
Drogba was sensational that year. But the way Rooney carried that poor United team meant that it had to be given to him. I've never seen a player carry a mediocre team to a title charge like that, ever.
But you are absolutely right about Drogba being labelled a brute when there was so much more to his game than that.
He is the template and textbook that all forwards that should look at when learning how to play with back to goal, compete with defenders, and also remain a threat in front of goal. So many target men over the years haven't been able to do what Drogba did.
Yes , but you must remember the extreme Man U / Liverpool bias that pervades the English game .
As demonstrated by those two clowns on sky every week.
God helps us!!!!
@@jasonphelps1680 I'd add Arsenal to that too on some shows as they have a lot of representation from ex players, particularly the BBC - although on Scouse Sports News they don't get much of a look in either. You can tell that a player really does deserve their individual award when they get one while playing for Chelsea or Manchester City
Very good information 🔥👏👏👏
the perfect CF.... Headers, skill, touch, smarts, power, pace, CLUTCH and a eye for goal.
"Mr Abramovich , pay , pay and don't speak" - Jose Mourinho , and the rest is Legendary History
He was the big man for the big games. King of the finals. He really help abrahamovic win a lot of trophies during his ownership of Chelsea.
Drogba is the unstoppable striker who ever lived. His physical strenght destroy Premier league's elite defenders. Even Big teams cant control him (2009 Barça especially). Drogba is that Man who always frightened you in big matches.
I was a kid, probably 9-10 when Drogba was at the top of his game. The way some people go on about him now acting like he was no good annoys me. Literally no one thought this back then. No one cared about stats at all. It was just accepted that he was a world class player, regardless of not scoring 30 a season. Didn’t matter. He could dominate an entire back 4 on his own. Was also quite a gifted player with the ball, definitely not the limited target man lamppost he’s often painted as being. Chelsea would dominate games through Drogba being such a complete forward, either running the channels and delivering the key balls, having guys run off him for flick ons, popping it over the defence for him to steamroll through. Could cross for him, he was a capable crosser for midfield runners or other forwards, could shoot from range. He was an unreal player. I will passionately defend Drogba whenever there’s an opportunity because to me he is by FAR the most disrespected footballer on social media these days.
Stats do matter though, especially when you’re a striker. Of course he’s a quality player but I think the ‘disrespect’ you see online is because people started to put him on the level of the likes of Henry which I think is not right. He’s a quality player but more on the level of a Berbatov. You can’t be heralded as one of the greatest strikers of the prem if you only have one season of over 20 goals within your 8 seasons there.
@@MR12AMAZING stats can be relevant but the impact a player has on a match across 90 minutes will always be the most important thing, regardless of if they score or if they’re ‘a striker’. Often you can only gauge this by watching the match, not retrieving the stats or looking at ones of the rating apps. It’s also worth pointing out that if scoring 20+ goals in a league season is key to being great, then we’d also have to rule out forwards like Rooney, Van Persie, Tevez, Owen, Fowler, Torres. All of those only had 2 seasons of scoring 20 or more in England. Actually Owen never had any (Ballon D’Or winner Owen I’ll add). Would you say all of these players can’t be regarded as great? I think it’s a flawed and arbitrary marker to determine the quality of players by.
Couldn’t have said it any better
@@MR12AMAZINGDrogba on the same level of Berbatov? I need a hit of whatever it is you’re on.

Drogba one of a kind striker. One of the best of all time in Africa.
Weah ?
@@merlinonerdrogba, weah, and eto’o r 3 greatest African strikers
even haaland cant do those moves, what a legend
Haaland is a kid. While Drogba is a Man.

Even when he was not playing great matches u knew he would score from half chance and also always scored in big matches ..much love legend
My world best ever player...Love you Double D 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
When a monster has techniques! You get Drogba!
Too many people bang on about Henry. This man was the man who was feared. Especially when it came to the big stage. As a United fan, when I saw his name on the teamsheet it filled me with worry. He had everything top strikers had and more. The strength was absolutely unreal.
This man made me love football
Drogba 😍
I really loved this guy even that I am an Arsenal Fan. He always scored agaings us and pissed me off but what a player
haha, that's what comes to mind with this player for sure.. one of the few of the blues I respected the most
Drogba was something else
He is like a more forward focused version of Kane, that played in a MUUUUUUUUUCH tougher era of the game. He was everything, EVERYTHING you wanted in striker, and he essentially was THE striker that defined the head of the 4-3-3 that every manager till today tries to get. He was the first of the modern striker.
Drogba is top 20 all time no question.
What a beast! How can you have so much technique and power 😮
He is the reason Lampard is Chelsea's top scorer
Sheer power absolutely Beast at CF, Drogba is one of the best strikers of all time 😊
The most complete African striker EVER .and the best player to score with his back to the goal. He was a genius who could score goals in all possible ways . Besides , he is the only player to stop a war in his country . His likes do make us Africans feel prouder of our Africanity .
One of my favorite strikers....Didier was really genius indeed ❤❤❤❤....
Dorgba was most complete striker during his prime..
2000 - 2010 best football we ever had!
miss you Drogba!
What a striker, no one can be like him
It's refreshing and humbling to have watched almost all the goals as he did his magic..
Drogba is an unforgettable football legend❤❤❤ He was so goooood🙌🙌🙌
As a Gooner, I hate to say it but he was an incredible all round player and a World Class finisher....
Legend, My African Hero
A striker that can be motm without scoring, Drogba was one of a kind
Drogba i miss this guy a lot .
blue beast, arsenal nightmare, chelsea legend, didier Drogba!!!!!!
He was a hero for the blues
My personal favourite striker ... He could bring the heat
Some of the best defenders that have graced the Premier League such as Vidic, Ferdinand, Carragher have confessed he was that one striker they dreaded playing against...
hes so quick between his first amd second touch
Drogba is Nightmare to Arsenal.
he is great finisher.
He was arguably the best player on a couple Fifa video games from the early 2010s
Probably the most unselfish player we've ever had
Dude gave us joy ..real joy
He turns up in especially big games, what a footballing legend 👏 🙌 👌 👍 😄 💙 👏 🙌
Legend
One of the best to ever receive a ball with their back to a defender. Incredible on the half & full turns along with great awareness of his teammates. Giroud was also very similar. Go blues.
Africa's best ever striker , very skilled, good finisher, very very flexible at the goal ,turning around fully, good in the air and on the ground, the first african I saw scoring against Brazil in a competitive match in world Cup, I guess in the whole world he is the best ever to wear Jersey number 11 though playing as number 9. I admit this today even if I didn't want him because he played for Chelsea and he used to punish man utd alot , which was My team.
I miss beast number 9s in late 90s and 2000s era .. Sheschenko, Crispo, Raul, Batistuta, Drogba, Eto'o, R9 .. etc.
When playing WE9, he is the striker that I had to sign right away in ML 😂
Grade Didier ❤️
Two forvet legend prime drogba and eto.
Simply the Legend!
A mentally and physically strong Drogba was the heartbeat of defenders in his heydays.
When he sighted the goalposts he behaved like a ferocious eagle or a hungry lion seeing a prey😮
Drogba and Lampard, what a duo 🔥🔥🔥🔥
And the old commentators where so good they made the game and goals so much better with how much compassionate they are
That goal vs Barcelona wearing the Dutch kit was insane. Barca vs Chelsea games were war, you'd barely get a chance to score
2:54 foi a final de Champions mais emocionante que já assisti na minha vida
This would make all the players around him jokers😢😢
unbelieveable control on his left leg, amazing
what a finisher🎉❤
M'r big ocassion👑
Prime Drogba soo Handsome ❤❤
What a player
Chelsea in Abramovich era was something…
he made me love football too and also to become a chelsea fan
Skill Power Precision Personality Big game performer. What a striker he was! Didier drogba La la la laaaaaa
My Favorite striker of all time.
Hundreds of players his level playing right now
“You dont need to score many goals. You just need to score enough to win.” Sun Tzu
Drogba JJ Okocha. I just loved their footwork. Incredible
Don't do that 😂
DROGBA IS THE KING...THE GOAT.
So many top teams in the 2000s football was at it's peak. Then in 2010s it was mostly just Madrid Barca and Bayern lol. Now there is oil money City.
Yep, football lost it's spark post 2010
Very few people who don't support Chelsea, Ivory Coast, Galatasaray etc will actually realise how good he was technically. He was an outstanding footballer, even when he didn't score he contributed hugely to wins. He's been pigeon-holed as a target man due to his size, especially by today's social media kids who were too young to watch him and just review his stats, but he was much, much more than that.
nicee content, Drogba was a a beast, 90 body balance
Most Complete Striker of All Time ❤
Love looking at him smashing goals with the PS3 signage in background. Guess this was a long time ago😂
His movement , technical ability and strength were unmatched he was just a problem for any defender
There will be no one like him
Absolutely lethal
Real goal scoring machine of Africa.
Made scoring goals look very easy
man that boy was good!
1:00 Ivanovic goal please next video Ivanovic
He was a complete striker
Me acuerdo cuando jugaba en la play 1 siempre lo tenía en mi equipo
Arsenal's nightmare, Wembley's legend, Mr Final winner mentality.
