    1) He gathers the dry clay
    2) He then grinds it in a millstone
    3) He then adds a temper of ground shards to the clay and mixes them together
    4) He kneads them with water and fashions a bowl.
    5) He then applies a red ochre paint to the drying bowl, and burnishes it with a smooth stone
    6) He makes an impression in the earth and builds therein a fire, setting the ceramic pieces upon the ashes, over which a larger fire is built and allowed to burn down

    Amassing and you respect the land by smoothing out the dirt when you take the clay and do the firing . 👍

    This is the ancient way of making pottery in Türkiye. I studied it an art class ans also made many pots by using only my hands, just like presented here.

      Most pottery around the world is basically/generally the same with a couple different techniques , designs , equipment etc etc ..

    Bcos according to the bible he created man from that mud... Your video is biblical bcos God is the Potter and we are the clay Godbless everyone reading this its remind us that we are created unique like the Potter made us in different shapes

    At the same time the white and asian cultures had glazed porcelain, glass windows and the wheel! Backwards is as backwards does.

      well, they weren't to backwards when the 365 day calendar that is used today was perfectly calculated by the Natives of the Americas! I'll bet ur from USA, who r the most misinformed about Native ppl, and who's world about Native ppl is small and ignorant!

      Yea but porcelain its not fire resistant like these native american pots.
      Also have you heard of the japanese Raku pottery?Japan its a verry advanced country and raku ware its verry expensive altough its low tech.

      art is art - right? just because one guy decided they wanted to work with glass does not make the art of another guy that decided he wanted to use clay invalid.
