I don't prefer this interpretation of Masha. but hey that's part of the fun of the theatre is to see all different interpretations of the characters.

My main problem is that without referring to actor Tommy Kirk by name mr. Durant twists the facts of the actors outcome in life to his own dramatic effect. For, if anyone looks up what became of Tommy Kirk will find that he lived to his untimely death due to old age that it was a quite but comfortable one.

Some of the actors were breaking a cardinal rule: waiting for the laughs. Instead, they talked over them, as a result of which their audience could not hear their subsequent lines. Come on, B'way actors, get it together.
