That's not a Gae's fighters particular characteristic, it is of older generations fighters. As odd as it sounds, fighting on stadiums, they didn't really need optimum boxing defense (meaning head movement and the capacity of going in and out), because of the big gloves. Most of the times, just long guard and forward movement to knee and elbow were enough. There were exceptions, tho: Saenchai, for example. Superlek is from the same generation of Superbom, i think; yet, he addapted waaay better.
Nong O is really old and completely changed his style when he came to ONE. Nong O was a backfoot fighter before ONE championship, but now he is an aggressive fighter. Such drastic change in style will lead to holes in your game, especially in defense.

Couldn't help but notice that Superbon, during round two, had thrown the round kick three times which became predictable and led to Tawanchai catching the third kick and countering with the 3-2 combo that would lead to Superbon's first knockdown. This sequence started at 5:56 of this video.

Tawanchai switched his guard pretty much only to catch Superbon's kick properly and parry to the outside. Then switching his guard to again to come back with a hook is actually really creative. Most people wouldn't even think to throw a lead hook with the same hand you used to catch the kick.

Dam tawanchai looks like his muscles really filled out this time. Hes always been very toned and defined but in this one it looked like he put on size. If you look at their first fight and the face offs, they looked about the same size and in some photos superbon almost looked bigger. But in this one tawanchai looked like the bigger fighter. And it showed with his power. The last fight he landed alot over 5 rounds but this time it didnt even take a round and a half before he knocked him down 3 times and had his eyes rolling back off the first kd. I was rootin for superbon even though im fans of both. And after what he did to Jo, i thought he had a chance. But unfortunately i think superbon is past his prime now at 34. Thats the age when most ufc champs fall off and they dont have anywhere near the number of fights that guys like superbon have. And tawanchai at 25, 9years younger, is just comin into his prime. I think the first fight is as close as itll ever get between them.

And I gues Superbon is less durable than Tawanchai, or Tawanchai has stronger punch than Superbon. But it's so funny to me that this is fight of just "two situations" :D Two almost the same situations. First is here 5:10 where Tawanchai should be done :) But he was durable enough (or Superbon punch wasn't strong enough).
And then we have THE SAME SITUATION at 6:09 xD THE SAME SITUTION :D The same kick, the same reactions, the same punch (from both sides).
Except, this time Tawanchai hit with his punch. And I gues Superbon is less durable than Tawanchai, or Tawanchai has stronger punch than Superbon.
But it's so funny to me that this is fight of just "two situations" :D Two almost the same situations. Rest of the fight is just... preparing or looking for that situation xD
And the strongest (punch) and more durable guy - wins.

Saying Superbon got lucky ko against Petrosyan is like Chingiz got lucky ko against Superbon. The fight between elites even a single mistake you would be done already.

@@___Anakin.Skywalker Petrosyan can’t defend the right kick from Superbon in the first round and when Petrosyan try to be aggressive then the job was done by Superbon already. For Superbon vs Chingiz, Superbon had an interview that he made a mistake to prepare the fight because he never had a fight in the morning before so at that time Superbon feel sleepy because he can’t sleep that night and lost his focus while Chingiz had a great preparation so the result would be like that.
