- Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. This trailer almost made me cry... that dialogue between Tony and the Cap was so amazing!
Not to mention didn't Winter Soldier hint at Bucky killing Tony's parents? That might play into Tony's anger also.

Oh so here is where you guys saw the first trailer
I prefer Civil War simply because Cap and Iron Man are ALREADY friends coming to blows, where as BvS they fight first and THEN become friends.
+SamZappo The context is completely different. I think Civil War will be more personal, while BvS will be a clash of ideals. Conceptually, both ideas are great. It now comes down to the better execution.

If you rewatch all the movies Cap and Iron Man are together, they were never friends.
I'm a family man so kudos for you guys taking time out for real life. I waited patiently for your review of this and it was worth the wait. "Tony is a futurist." What a great line and point. In Avengers AoU Tony seemed to be dead wrong and with need up being 100% correct. If and when this film is done right we will leave the theatre with mixed feelings about who's side we are on. Both sides have valid points. Compromise leads to balance and balance is KEY!

+Crizmatik I think this is something that the film can do that the comics ultimately went very one-sided with on making Tony into the bad guy and scapegoat - I think this film can gave both sides validity and the reason I think that is because one of the Russo brothers stated that their very intention is to have people leave the theaters not able to truly pick a side because both sides have a point - I for one am simply glad that it doesn't look like they are throwing Tony under the bus to make Cap the only one being right, I had feared that because the comics did that, but I believe it if the Russo brothers say that Tony has a legitimate valid point on what he does
Your opinion is my absolute favorite and I agree 100% buddy. We should leave the theater torn in half, or at least being able to see both sides. The MCU Iron Man is not nearly the bastard he is in the comic civil war. I am excited for this film. Joss Whedon is s Nerd King, but it was time for him to step away. Artists need to get away and see the picture from the outside looking in. If we stay on the inside we lose vision of the bigger picture. The Russo Bros. seem to be PERFECT for these films. 2 people means half the stress, I would think. My poor dude Joss had to deal with way too much bullsheeeeet.

Like, this whole thing feels unreal. We are talking about Captain America fighting Iron Man, with Black Panther and Spider-Man, in a Marvel Cinematic Universe. It all feels so unreal, but I am so excited.

what happened to war machine maybe in the first part of the movie, the explosion in the office area maybe shield head quarters and bucky is being framed and later is cross bones coming out to take out Captian America.

Okay, here is a list: DC released a snippet and I assume the usual trailer for the upcoming episodes of their TV shows. Marvel is heaving teasing AoS and has by now released three trailer for Agent Carter.
It's been over a year and I still get hyped when I watch these trailers and reactions.
so... just to add. Anyone notice a few things about Tony's new armor? I'm thinking and HOPING it is the Bleeding Edge armor. That or possibly made of Vibranium since he is possibly working with Black Panther
In all the scenes with Tony in that armor... not a scratch, dent, hole or anything like his other armors in the other movies.
Hell, even when he is next to Rhody in his armor, War Machine is scratched, mangled and has the arc reactor torn out of him. Tony is still unscratched,
and when Bucky punches Tony's chest in the one scene, his metal hands don't penetrate the armor either like it has in other movie (punching through cars, denting random metal objects)

Personally my brother and I did a reaction to this as well. And I screamed seeing Panther. I agree with mostly everything you guys said. The feeling I got from this is how far are you willing to go for your friend. Having said that I think you guys forget yes their adding elements of the Civil War story arc but the is a clear cut villain. And I believe Bucky is being framed and Zemo or Crossbones are the cause. Other than that well done fellow Geek Highlords
whats exciting is that we still havent seen much of the movie given that spiderman baron zimo and crossbones are all cast! excited to see how they pull off baron zimo!

I must say though the music soundtrack set the tone for this trailer , a very good choice, unexpected but powerful.
they're going to use Spider-Man like they used Vision in the Age of Ultron trailers... probably just going to show a close up on his face in the final trailer... remember how they just showed Visions eyes in the final trailer for Age of Ultron? I think that's what they'll do for Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the final trailer for Civil War. maybe just a quick shot of his mask or maybe his web shooting into frame without screen showing his actual character whatsoever. either of those, especially his web just coming into frame, would get people sooooo hyped for this movie it'll be ridiculous!!!

On Stark being a "futurist" -- what being a futurist means is that there's a large probability that the future you predict will come true. What does not follow is that the solutions you will undertake in the present will be correct. more likely is that you will only increase the likelihood of the future you fear coming true.

Been looking alot on comments sections and it seems everyone is Team Cap but I'm definitely Team Iron Man.
+erosion271 its why it is a legit moral dilemma. There is not really one clear side. On the one hand, no one should be above the law. On the other hand, a minority group should not be forced to register with the government. The twist and difficulty is that the mutants/etc. are not merely some group of humans. And should it still apply? But that is also an exaggeration/metaphor for the human condition. E.g. should people who have some exceptional trait be singled out. I also refer everyone once again to Vonnegut's Harrison Bergeron.
