New homes should come with solar panels, a rain water collection system and an electric vehicle charger in the garage. All homes should be built to accommodate the elderly and disabled. We can do better than hope 😉 First of all you must remember, that what ever the Trump administration says on their run for office is primarily hot air. Election time is always fairy tale story time. Energy industry transition can not be stopped by Trumps administration. The industry doesn't even call it "green" but rather clean and most of all cheep energy. If there is anything at all that USA has perfected, it is making profit. Another interesting development is a byproduct of the TikTok ban. Users immediately downloaded Douyin and had the most pleasant warm welcome from the chinese people. The byproduct here is, that many US citizens have now gotten first hand experience with the chinese people and they liked it. Although it will not stop the US economic warfare against China, we now won quite a few people on both sides who actually like each other. Thirdly tarifs. Trump believes that the citizens of the US are rich enough to withstand the consequences of tarifs until all production has come back to the US. It would be a massive success if only 30% move production back to the US. It is more likely it'll be somewhere around 10%. The reason why this is still good is, that the US production standards are higher and cleaner than in developing world countries, which will contribute to slightly less ecological worlds resources and human exploitation.
What you said about China hitting their renewables targets 6 years early was inspiring! Also the EU digital services sounds like it could bring about some positive changes.
Unfortunately this is misleading, they have the capacity to generate that much green energy... but because the projects aren't actually fully connected to the grid (actually they are barely connected) and they are in remote locations with little if any local demand (and no capacity to increase local demand due to VERY limited water resources) the energy largely is just wasted. The more populous regions are still powered by fossil fuels they just increased the total capacity to make the amount from FFs seem smaller.
All new buildings should be designed with large roof overhangs. The large overhang provides beauty and protection from the sun, rain and wind. Protection of the doors, windows and siding make for a more durable and comfortable home. Water is the enemy of buildings.

Im happy that Manitoba (Canada) Premier Wab Kinew is putting forward a program to help homelessness that includes not only finding housing for people in encampments , but also physical and mental health supports, and other services.
I don’t know why so many people are against making the world a better place.. like paying a few dollars more in tax is going to brake them… making the world a better place should be everyone’s primary goal after eating. How good is it going to good clean peaceful places? It’s amazing that so many people think it is “weak” to want to preserve or create these places.
Wait.. at 8:46 the narration reverses the Asia and Europe statistics. Chart says Europe:50%, Asia:70%, narration says Asia :50%, Europe:70%. So....which is the correct info? Thanks for these kinds of videos, btw.
hi, concidering the steel situation in china, how is the transition from blast furnace and basic oxygen furnace to electric arc furnace going? you didn't talk about that in this video
I'm thinking the same thing... social security is essentially a wealth transfer from the young to the old, and it depends entirely on a growing population
You have to consider that nuclear power (building and maintaining plants) is expensive as fuck though, so from that perspective alone alternative energy sources have a way better output ratio.
Im worried about the amount of resources we're using not the amount of debt we're accumulating. Wouldn't you pay for medical treatment now instead of suffering from severe systems later
Love the video, with the exception of the COLA adjustment part. Showing a mom and her kid while talking about Social Security furthers the narrative that we care about our children here in America. Financially, we don't. We only care about investing in our soon-to-die. Nice video other than that, though
Im not a pessimist, just a scientifically minded realist. I’m not convinced a 2.5% increase in Social Security checks is even close to offsetting the recent outrageous fluctuations in inflation rates. That won’t cover the average increase in rent alone. Is that good news?
I think its sad, that in Germany we mostly see e cars as "enviromently friendly". I hope not only Germany but the hole World sees how good public trafic can be, if we invest in it.

Funny how you mentioned gm and charge point their Ev's suck and stations are rare/slow but pretty much only showed Tesla charging stations. tesla is selling 5+ times the Ev's and installing thousands more chargers compared to only in the hundreds from companies like chargepoint
Also I’ve always seen renewables as more profitable companies will no longer have to pay for electricity saving them lots of money. No one will have to pay for electricity saving them
I'm going to be honest, this sucks. A lot And I'm not saying that as a hater or a doomer, or a climate denier. I'm saying that as someone with actual standards for what I regard as good news I am genuinely looking forward to the ACFTA, the advancements in telemedicine and the applications in AI in medicine, but most of the the rest are just terrible The expansion of renewables is great, of course, but it needs to be made clear that it is not happening anywhere near fast enough. I don't mean to say this to be a downer, but to remind your viewers that there is still work that has to be done in order for this news to have its good praises sung There should also be a bit of skepticism for the actual success of the EUDR that should also be a footnote, but those are still minor criticisms To get at my biggest objection, EVs will not solve the climate crisis. The creation if their batteries is very carbon intensive, it causes damage to nature and it is highly unethical. To solve the carbon intensity of transportation, we need to expand and improve public transport, which has been electrified since _long_ before EVs were a thing, and are far more affordable and inclusive, and to expand pedestrian infrastructure Why do I never hear about either of those actual solutions from this channel? I have more criticisms, but they all pale in importance compared to this
It does, but any improvement is better than none, and a shift more and more towards clean energy worldwide will pressure them to stop, because it wont nake enough money to justify
It does, unfortunately their green energy projects arent meaningfully connected to the grid so most of the power is wasted, the Chinese economy still runs on coal and sanctioned oil because the green projects are in way too remote and water scarce environments.
Nuclear does have its upsides, but the fact that wind is taking over does have its reasons: It's even safer than nuclear energy and a looot cheaper. However wind obviously has its flaws so I'm all for filling these gaps with nuclear energy. All in all wind seems to be the better option for the long run.
I agree that nuclear was laid the foundation for much of our energy infrastructure and it is quite reliable, the maintenance of wind power is high and the initial cost of solar panels is atrocious because of the materials needed and the construction in dangerous geographic locations… but there are advances in the latter options that would be far more efficient in the long run if only big energy wouldn’t target and destroy some of them before they can even get a patent for their new technology. It’s kind of a mess right now, especially because politicians continue to scoop up coal and oil to fill their governmental agenda and feed the barons and foreign countries, when if they had focused on renewables twenty years ago instead of looking at the paychecks we’d probably be better off
If you support nuclear energy you shouldn’t mind having a plant or radioactive dump site near you. Send your address to the people promoting nuclear, which by the way is mostly high tech Ai folks like Musk. Ai takes a lot of energy. Glad you are on board for having them in your neighborhood as they have a hard time finding sites.

I'm so excited! My COLA gives me a whopping 67 cents a day! Now all I need to do is hop in my $70,000 EV and drive 4000 miles to Mexico where I can afford to retire on $1,000/month, and get that spinal fusion I need due to the 50 years of heavy labor I did for minimum wage. Yipee!
Let's rapidly build our renewably powered global economy together 🌎. Let's ensure this positively effects all regions with new tax revenue, new lease payments and good family jobs especially in fossil fuel regions to avoid economic dislocations so this transition is rapid, equitable and ubiquitous everywhere.
Let's actually connect our green energy projects to the grid first instead of building more to just look better like China does
Governments are so slow to approve renewable energy
def could use this good news now lmao
Im happy that Manitoba (Canada) Premier Wab Kinew is putting forward a program to help homelessness that includes not only finding housing for people in encampments , but also physical and mental health supports, and other services.
Amazing
8:47 got it flipped there
I don’t know why so many people are against making the world a better place.. like paying a few dollars more in tax is going to brake them… making the world a better place should be everyone’s primary goal after eating. How good is it going to good clean peaceful places? It’s amazing that so many people think it is “weak” to want to preserve or create these places.
Living is more complex than eating
feeling hopeless so i needed this
This channel has helped me stay positive for my freinds and family recently. Thank you guys ❤
Renewable energy is getting cheaper and cheaper but my bills have been going up and up, make it make sense.
Wait.. at 8:46 the narration reverses the Asia and Europe statistics. Chart says Europe:50%, Asia:70%, narration says Asia :50%, Europe:70%.
So....which is the correct info?
Thanks for these kinds of videos, btw.
Oh sorry, its Asia :50%, Europe:70% (narration is correct).
hi,
concidering the steel situation in china, how is the transition from blast furnace and basic oxygen furnace to electric arc furnace going? you didn't talk about that in this video
It’s so sad that 2025 has already brought a devastating fire in LA, which caused a huge destruction, but I hope 2025 will still be a great year.
Everybody wants to be happy, we are united ❤
8:48 the audio doesn’t match with the graph shown on screen unfortunately
5:08 Ah yes, increasing something that will run out in less than a decade is great. Love paying for something I'm never going to be able to use.
I'm thinking the same thing... social security is essentially a wealth transfer from the young to the old, and it depends entirely on a growing population
0:51 nuclear is more effective than wind isn't it? So we're dumping more resources than necessary to generate the same energy
8:46 , either your narration is wrong or the chart is wrong. One of them has the asia europe stats flipped.
I think its sad, that in Germany we mostly see e cars as "enviromently friendly". I hope not only Germany but the hole World sees how good public trafic can be, if we invest in it.
Even though trump thinks climate change is a hoax, he can't halt the progress we already made worldwide!🍃🍃🌳🌳🌏
How does China have such a solar stat, with all that smog they bellow out? Is production enough to "go green"?
Thanks for being a real human narrator. So tired of AI. You are much better.❤❤
This DSA sounds very much like it'll give you more security at the cost of your freedom.
Yeah, nah if it gets worse than this for me I'm moving countries or giving up, whatever that entails.
FYI, Soy is a product predominantly used in Animal feed. The percentage of soy used by humans is negligible. So if you eat soy milk, tofu, tempeh. You should not feel bad, you are not the predominant contributor. Yes you could switch to other legumes. Wish would be better.
Engagement comment so that the good news can continue to spread!
So how does Trump's Oligarchy factor into any of this?
As much as the Pelosi oligarchy if not les.
@Some_who_call_me_Tiim
Oh yes the cabinet billionaires totally won't royally rob us dry.
@@Some_who_call_me_Tiim
Sure pal.🙄
@@dalekrenegade2596 as an independent it's my opinion, trump is just the idiot doing the quiet part out loud. I disapprove of his corruption but see the same corruption on both sides of the isle. Dems and Repub form a uniparty against American people. Only when party is set aside can the politicians speak for constituents.
It insures the US will continue to fall behind and China will continue to spank us in renewables.
Funny how you mentioned gm and charge point their Ev's suck and stations are rare/slow but pretty much only showed Tesla charging stations. tesla is selling 5+ times the Ev's and installing thousands more chargers compared to only in the hundreds from companies like chargepoint
All bets off where the USA is concerned.
Love you're content! When are you gonna get your Instagram up and running?
Welcome
i still think 2025 is gonna absolutely suck
its not gonna suck trust, its just ur mindset
@Lusya2 it definitely will suck
It already does and it's gonna get even worse
@@ky_guy exactly

Also I’ve always seen renewables as more profitable companies will no longer have to pay for electricity saving them lots of money. No one will have to pay for electricity saving them
8:47 how much in Asia? yous eem to disagree with the graphic
I'm going to be honest, this sucks. A lot
And I'm not saying that as a hater or a doomer, or a climate denier. I'm saying that as someone with actual standards for what I regard as good news
I am genuinely looking forward to the ACFTA, the advancements in telemedicine and the applications in AI in medicine, but most of the the rest are just terrible
The expansion of renewables is great, of course, but it needs to be made clear that it is not happening anywhere near fast enough. I don't mean to say this to be a downer, but to remind your viewers that there is still work that has to be done in order for this news to have its good praises sung
There should also be a bit of skepticism for the actual success of the EUDR that should also be a footnote, but those are still minor criticisms
To get at my biggest objection, EVs will not solve the climate crisis. The creation if their batteries is very carbon intensive, it causes damage to nature and it is highly unethical. To solve the carbon intensity of transportation, we need to expand and improve public transport, which has been electrified since _long_ before EVs were a thing, and are far more affordable and inclusive, and to expand pedestrian infrastructure
Why do I never hear about either of those actual solutions from this channel?
I have more criticisms, but they all pale in importance compared to this
Regarding EVs: The only way they can be widely successful is if they give us free energy.
@@yamil8003 It’s called the sun.
really needed that 💗
question. China is increasing its green energy, but does it not also build ALOT of coal plants still?
It does, but any improvement is better than none, and a shift more and more towards clean energy worldwide will pressure them to stop, because it wont nake enough money to justify
It does, unfortunately their green energy projects arent meaningfully connected to the grid so most of the power is wasted, the Chinese economy still runs on coal and sanctioned oil because the green projects are in way too remote and water scarce environments.
China has hit peak coal. They are actually starting to use less as it's too costly compared with solar as more batteries come on line
Wind surpassing Nuclear is not a positive in my book, I don't hate wind power, but nuclear is objectively better.
Nuclear does have its upsides, but the fact that wind is taking over does have its reasons: It's even safer than nuclear energy and a looot cheaper. However wind obviously has its flaws so I'm all for filling these gaps with nuclear energy. All in all wind seems to be the better option for the long run.
@@superhellth Never hurts to have more than one power source handy in case one of them doesn't work out. 🤔
@@superhellth Nuclear is way cheaper than Wind on the long run.
