Reed Mullin's drumming was so excellent here. Shame to lose this angel. R.I.P., Reed! May the fellows in Corrosion of Conformity be able to process and grieve in peace at this time.
No matter how, or what caused it, Reed was absolutely phenomenal! His drumming was outstanding! Everything he done was a complement to every note played. Without all the technical, rudimentary crap that I myself, can do without. I'd rather listen to Tommy Lee than Neil Peart. Not saying peart wasn't crazy good, and in a league of his own, I just never liked that style.
Reed has been on my top 3 fave drummers for years. Everything about his style and sound... I've watched many interviews he was part of and dude just seemed really fuckin cool. He along with the rest of the band were so underrated, I never understood that. the band is in my top 5 all time. seen them live twice and been a hardcore fan since the 90's... Early 90's......R.I.P. Reed. You are missed
Ive always thought of this as grandmas song. she liked it along with a lot of metal, so did dad for that matter. 80 year old Alzheimers woman with a thirst for metal and good music. miss ya grams. miss ya pops ♥
I met Pepper very humble gentleman treated everyone like we mattered genuine smile on his face, They are by far my favorite band to see live. They don't act like they are "above" their fans. I unfortunately was unable to met the rest of the band. I love me some corrosion.
I agree totally underrated!!!! I too met them after a show in ‘92. They took me and a couple friends on their bus to see a rough cut of Vote with a Bullet. They were the nicest guys you could ever meet. Unlike Tool who opened for them... total dicks.
@@@bungo7586 There is something you won't hear often... Tool opening for someone. Are you sure you weren't just talking about MJK? The other guys are crazy nice. Anyway, I agree regarding COC and Down is awesome too.
Definitely the most underrated band ever.been a fan since 96 when I saw em support 'tallica in Dublin.Metal Hammer said this was the album Metallica should've released vis-à-vis Load.
I love this whole Metal, Southern Rock and Blues that these guys bring to the table. It is so hardcore! Just the thing we need to wash away the God awful pansy music we have been subjected to since the late 90s. It is like a cold beer on a day that is hotter than the hinges of Hell.
Many people have heard them though, but I get what you're saying considering they only have 60k subs on UA-cam. If it wasn't for Phil Anselmo and Pepper joining Down I'm sure a lot of us wouldn't know about them. I've only heard about 5 or 6 of their songs but I really like them. The twin guitar solos they do are pretty impressive.
They did kind of fly under the radar. I would've completely missed them as well if it weren't for a sticker my older brother gave me which made me seek them out
Thanks for the memories. I knew I seen them with Slayer 30 something years ago and had some of their albums. But I forgot about my Corrosion of Conformity that a teacher made me wear inside out to attend class and never wear it to school again after that day 😊
This song, along with Clean My Wounds and Albatross REALLY got me into this band! Being 13 in 1980, I grew up a teenage headbanger and was loving the fact that metal just blew up through the 80's. As the 90's came to be, as much as I kind of liked the grunge stuff(love it more as years went by), bands like COC really are what kept hard rock and metal alive in the 90's. So glad they came along! Got to see them open for Motorhead in '04 and for Clutch a couple of years ago. They still rock!
I remember my EX Tammy used to have a picture of Reed Mullin on her wall and I used to be a bit jealous but now that I'm older I wish I could go back to those times. I'd rather have reed then her any day of the week. RIP man.
@@daveyboy8907 I like this song and songs in this style. Songs that are catchy and have melody. I guess I grew up on pop and rock though some of the first cassettes and CD's I ever owned were Def Leppard, Michael Jackson, Nirvana, Korn, and Pearl Jam. This song deserves to get way more exposure than it got back in the 90s.
This band is beyond amazing and such a cut above. They are so talented and different. . They don't have a single song that I don't love. They could sing Mary Had a Little Lamb and make it sound freaking fantastic and put their own C.O.C spin on it.
I saw these guys in 96 in Miami , they opened for Mettalica , all I can say is what a concert and great memories , the $100 I spent to get down to the pit area was worth every dime! I'd pay any price today to relive hearing peppers pipes , till this day they're still my Fav ole school group.
I'm from another time that remembers corrosion of conformity as a punk band..my wife bought me 1st record "eye for an eye" on red vinyl, on our 1st Xmas together...still together/ kinda...
Same here. I played the shit out of Animosity and Technocracy when they came out. The shift to Blind threw me off a little bit, but I love where they’ve gone since then🔥
PURE AWESOME MUSIC!!!! Fuck that other stupid ass shit with that overused auto tune and all the other programming in it. This, right here..... You can say that again bro🤘
I bought Wiseblood on a whim, and to this day has to be one of my best decisions. COC is now one of my all time fave bands! This song will always have a special place in my heart
If you didn't see these guys during this or the Deliverance period and had a chance to, well then you've many less important life choices to ponder. Just an awesome band live.
Saw them three times in late 80s they opened for aerosmith excellent philadelphia they were with april wine and heart they were boss philadelphia ted nugent in miami even better then ted
Awesome Band!! Grew up on them. Live just outside of Raleigh NC where they started. Very underrated. They have stood the test of time and always sound awesome!
Bad ass!!!! Perfect blend of heavy blues, grunge, and metal! New age southern rock sound some say. What every genre you place them they are one of my all-time favorite bands!! Great musicans!
I seen these guys two times in my life the same tour they were an excellent band they were heavily revered in my circles of metal plus alot of metal bands brought them out with them make no mistake these guys were the real deal C.O.C!!
Man this song takes me back to the 90s , young , lean , long hair full of testosterone. Standing tall on my bed listening to coc on my tape player, ready to take on the world!
Saw them again this year in Camden & still amazing after all these years. Can't wait to see how the new album turns out as loving their version of on the hunt.
This whole band are probably the best in the world! That might sound crazy, but they are to me. Pepper Keenan is a musical genius! Clutch is right behind them, and running a real hard race!
I heard something yesterday about bands touring with other bands and they never have the time to just hang out. Sad to me because with all that talent in the same place and no time to get it together.. I thought "take a second" if you have one. They don't because they're to busy pleasing us. Thank YOU! You're awesome and one of my favorite bands! Rockin out with my cats and my mop :-) You guys rock!
Been with COC since their skater days and love how they've developed over the years. Best sh×t ever just like exodus developed. Now it's straight to the point and just badass.
My best freind decided to take his own life to the other side, Christmas Eve. I am still without words, but this song braught me a glimpse of how maybe he must have felt before he pulled the trigger. Kurt was granite, now he is nowhere to be found, and i feel lost in his absence. If you know someone in distress, go to where they physically are real time, in there presence and speak to there need. Go to them, dont just talk to them over the phone or text, go help.

I'm just gonna take this and run cuz you guys are blowing my mind with the remarks! They rock! I'm into old Classic Rock and much more of course, and to this day, I haven't seen anyone who rocks out more than these guys. Love the style!

That's very cool. Thanks for sharing. Cheers 🍻

Yep. Big ups to the Grandma's of the world.
Someone's watching over you my metal friend!
The album 'Wiseblood' is a hidden gem of 90s hard rock/metal scene, so overlooked🤘🍻
Very underrated band in general. Delivernace & Wiseblood are fuckin' masterpieces, the latter being my favourite one.

Still. .in 2023...Drowning In A Daydream 😢
Why has the ultimate cliche’ word “underrated” replaced awesome. One is such a shitty word and pathetic and one is uplifting
Corrosion of Conformity is so good. Whenever I hear them, I can detect that southern feel that makes them unique.
They're so heavily influenced by Black Sabbath too. It's like if Sabbath and Skynyrd joined together.

Bought this cd at camelot music in the mall back in 1996. The entire cd was great, played the hell out of it for years. Very underrated.
damn, I have had the words CORROSION OF CONFORMITY tattooed around my arm for over a decade now......i don't regret it a bit, this band is the shit

One of the best, catchiest choruses to a song I've heard in a very long time. Long live COC!
I love the chorus.
These guys just had a great swagger to them, didn’t they? Metal is so good when it swings.
y'all ain't wrong!!!
Had? You mean "have" they are still Rockin!
Pepper is a southern rock god!!
One of the few bands from my teens that has stayed consistently great.
Apparently the label made them write this song and yet it still turned out to be amazing. Sounds like a 90s grunge song and I love it.
Yes Reed hated this song and the record company told them they had to write a " radio song"..
