They do make good gifts. And easy to do. I'm going to put that dishwasher safe mod podge on them to seal it. My daughter suggested I make a tray to go with the coasters. I may do that as well. ✌️
Those are cool 👍. I really need to buy a wood burner. A good half of the images I carve come from free coloring pages on the net. Sometimes I just can't be bothered drawing lol.
Drawing takes a lot of time, for me anyway. It's the quickest way to get to the fun part, which is carving or woodburning. I bought my woodburner of Amazon. It's the lower cost one but it works for me. Even for little projects, just to add a little detail to stuff, it comes in handy. ✌️
Thank you. Hopefully someone will dig em. I know sunflowers seem to be popular around here anyway. Going to seal with mod podge dishwasher safe . So I'm assuming that will be good for coasters too.
Makes perfect sense about recreating the free images as your own, got me to thinking if I can take my photos of plants and birds and use a program to just get the outline, I am sure it has been invented. Those coasters are looking awesome, and thanks for the tips on images, thanks for sharing
There is an app where you can turn a photo into a pencil drawing, not sure the name of it. I will have to research it. on the computer I use the Word document, put the image on and then play with the edit for black and white or to fade it so I'm not wasting ink when I print. And you are very welcome. I just want others to see that it's possible to create without knowing how to draw. ☺️✌️
@@AmyJo143 Thank you, someone also said Adobe could do it but I don't have that program, it would be neat to see you print, cut and trace, I know that sounds silly but you are really helping a lot of people who love art and creating and love your work along with it. Keep up the great work AmyJO
@NatureInspiredSnipsnSnaps okay. I can do that. Maybe after I get these projects done I can do that for ya ☺️. That's what this tribe does sis, we help each other. ✌️
Dame i need a good wood burner mostly for eyes like on your Indian. And i totally agree taking other people's art at the very least give them credit. Lovely job amy jo .ok bye 😊
The woodburner I have is a cheaper version, I bought it off Amazon. Works great for what I do. I love the handle, it's like the flex shaft of a dremel. I can send you a link of the one I have .
I bought a small wood burner of Amazon but I need to practise control and technique as I try to pull/push to fast on the burn, need to be not so impatient lol take care
I'm the same way. I have to refocus and go slow. I pull up often when I burn. Mainly because my hand will cramp up. But that's not always a good thing when you need an even burn line. 🤣. I need to sit down and learn the different wire tips. I have a tendency to stick with one or two that are my favorite. I do that with dremeling too.
@@AmyJo143 This is very helpful and great to hear tips from you and connect, I know you said about air flow with burning, do you also wear a mask when carving, there are different takes on this, what is yours? You have such a big shop and likely already equipped for all those things without any extra stuff, just wondering for learning?

Thank you very much for the comment. 😊✌️
The coasters turned out beautiful. I'm already thinking Christmas gifts 🤣 Thanks for sharing

Like the fact you do lots of different stuff
I like to keep busy. Always learning something new. And since I'm at the shop 6 days a week it helps to pass the time. 😊✌️

@@AmyJo143 It’s okay 🤗 I’m not a pro with it, and I don’t do them often. Usually at random 🙂
