Diving for shark teeth and other fossils off Venice, Florida

The area offshore Venice, Florida hosts abundant fossil beds where divers can find fossilized megalodon, mako, sand tiger, and other types of shark teeth. Divers can also find ray spines, marine mammal ribs, vertebrae, turtle scutes, and other types of fossils.
The diving is fairly easy and occurs in about 30 feet of water (plenty of bottom time!) a short distance from the Venice jetties.

Very cool, your vids are sweet. My kiddo loves them. She's been asking me to take her snorkeling for sharks teeth. She's too young to tank dive. Any spots you know of to get teeth on a flats boat. No special numbers needed, we have a knack for finding fossils on previously grazed over land.

Thanks! There are actually lots of spots you could try for some teeth, from off Venice during calm weather, to many areas of the Peace River, where you can wade or snorkel for teeth and other fossils. Good luck!
