Čiūto tūto aren't actual Lithuanian words but sounds that can be found in sutartinės (a type of ethnic multi-part Lithuanian songs). Sounds like čiūto tūto were seen as a magic spell, you chant them until you hear what your heart is trying to tell you.
4:25 I think you're missing the point here. It's not the point that she won that makes people mad. but that she got 12 jury - 10 televote, and Rura Mur got 10 jury - 12 televote. So both got 22points, but Ruta won televote. So why does the jury come stronger than the people? It just feels like a slap in the face after you're incouraged to vote so much, but in the end your vote was completely disregarded.
As far as I understand, they considered how many points Monika and Rūta received from the jury before they were converted into the classic score system. Most likely Monika received the highest score from every single jury member, whereas Rūta might have gotten 10s and a couple of 8 perhaps. The TV audience voted for both artists non stop, another 5 minutes might have gotten Monika to the first place, easily. She did perform last so her votes most likely only started pouring in after all the singers had delivered their performances. It's really strange to be so pissed about a talented musician representing your country but I guess that's human nature. I remember the same thing happened after Sentimentai won, so many negative emotions about the song being slow, boring, odd, incomprehensible... What for? The EV year comes and goes, the circus goes on and on. What stays is the vibe we all create and I'd rather we all cheered for our representative than sulk about our own favorite not going through.

Thank you! I was lacking some context. I have two things to say about it: 1. The difference between the two of them was less than 200 votes, so at least it was a tight race. 2. If it's any consolation, last year Chanel was the third place of the televote in Benidorm Fest, she was actually dragged by the juries. People were furious, but in the long run she made history for Spain. 3. I looked at the losing performances and wow, Ruta's was incredible. I even would've been okay with a Beatrich victory.
All TOP 3 Lithuanian national finalist were brilliant. If anyone of them is a winner I do not mind it. I personally thought Beatrich is going to win. And had a plan to vote for her. But all changed when I heared the last Monika’s song which was redone a bit and that bit- the Lithuanian folk part and magical čiūto tūto completely sank me into the song… and here we go I voted for Monika several times. I chaned my mind the very last minute to whom I should give my vote, and many other Lithuanians did the same! At least among my friends, people I know! So, indeed, most likely Monika would have been the televote winner as well if her song would not be the last to performe. I do not undertsand the whole fuss about this year’s winner in Lithuania either!? It is a beautiful song, full stop. Who cares if she makes through to the finals or not (especially knowing the new rule). It’s about representing your country and victory as such is not the main point here. We should be proud of such a beautiful and professional singing, good looking artist and our heritage implemented into this song! Lithuanians, will you ever stop moaning and complaining? 😂 that’s so typical in this country and does not matter what topic is discussed 🙈🤣 “Drama lygioje vietoje ir tiek”. Ridiculous!
