"...for those of you able to do it, congratulations on having the mental capacity of an 11-year old, and for those who just want to enjoy the show..."
Qxa7 I have at least the mental capacity of that 11 year old.🎖️
"... and as a hint I gave away the move in the title of the motherfucking video..."
An 11 year old, could be magnus! 😂
There are 11 years old and there are "11 years old", Magnus was an "11 years old", not to be confused with an 11 years old.
@@camilohiche4475 that’s useful if you must be lured in with a clickbait title instead of watching routinely, purposefully. But such a man does not solve the puzzle even if given a massive clue.😆
Me @ 11 years old: licking the glass on the front door of my house
Magnus @11:
You don't expect an 11-year old to create a work of such beauty. Incredible.
That's the reason the name Magnus Carlsen itched for forever in the world of chess #goat
There are players now both younger and higher rated
@@DarthVader-wk9sd Engines have massively improved both in quality and quality and is also far easier accessable than back then.
@@DarthVader-wk9sd Vader, you’re 100% right; I think we all know that kids are developing very fast nowadays. But I think you missed my point about the *beauty* of Carlsen’s play. Beauty. That’s the key. Yes there are higher rated 11-year olds today, but how many of them will go on to outperform Carlsen some day?
@@amannaithani903Certainly very itchy.
Young Magnus was very aggressive but when he was growing up he converted his playing style into mostly positional to win more games at higher level.
Exactly. A strategy of minimizing the potential to lose. Either win or draw. Not as fun to watch. But effective for sure.
I did nort enjoy magnus games ,too materialistic not even giving up a pawn and no exchange sacrifices only goes for queen trades which makes me boring,
@@user-zp7mu9vc9n you haven't seen his good games then he's had tons of games with pawn sacrifices. the difference these days is nobody captures his pawns out of fear
@user-zp7mu9vc9n that's why he ended up being the world champion for like 11 years before he gave it up...didn't even lose the title he just gave it away
@@drewishgaminginc.3942 Magnus is basically playing like Pep at football. Boring but unbeatable.
For a few seconds I thought Agad is messing with me as usual when the queen sacrifice came out of nowhere
Yeah I kind of asked myself what is this and how ? Pretty ingenious I didn’t connect the dots until I saw the Rook follow-up
Spectacular at any age. Unbelievable for an 11-year-old.
Whats crazy about that Queen sacrifice is the uncertainty in the endgame. I saw Qxa7, Rb8 and Qxb8 but I wont pursue the line since I am not confident I can hold the two queen pawns. I underestimate the activity of the rook. Brilliant display of creativity from Magnus Carlsen
In the documentary "Magnus", MC says he "just sees the right move". Sort of like Michelangelo saying, "I just see what parts of the marble need to be removed to make the sculpture".
Just because of you .. I have improved my game from 1200 to 1800 by learning how to calculate positions and studying the opening variations in 1.5 year.....
His explanations are very spectacular
Magnus is really a fascinating person... Whether you like him or not, you must agree, that his chess style is priceless... Such a wonderful game. Not many players could find such a sneaky and good idea, what an insane insight of board and position... Nowadays he plays more carefully and also he wents for positions, which are not that hard for him to play, but from time to time, he can still sacrifice everything for attack. He just likes chess a lot and you can see it in his style of play.
Young magnus is better. He is strong and play interesting moves. Nowadays he play boring engine move 99% of the time.
By definition that would make him better now
Why wouldn't you like him lol
"young magnus is going to show you how to defend the pawn"
Great, this is the reason I always play the exchange variation, maybe I can try playing the main line now
"and he gives it up"
oh
Wow... That escalated quickly.
Magnus's games are always are treat to watch 👌
Wow! Morphy like game.. Truly spectacular!.. Perhaps he didn't have the influence of chess engine than.... Rarely do you see him play such a creative masterpiece now-a-days..
Magnus was probably raised on engines and I agree this was one of his ‘prettier’ games
During all of his youth engines were rubbish @@michaelmassaro4375
His game where he sacrifices his queen for 3 pieces is an absolute masterpiece, a defensive masterclass, it was pretty recent.
@@djcheckmate1 which game was this?
I remember seeing a magnus game in the paper newspaper, and he was like 9 or something and it blew my mind because of its unpredictability. I had no idea what he was doing and I was following chess in those days. Little did I suspect his imminent take-off towards the pantheon of chess. I mean, after all he was norwegian
Old games were so awesome !👌

antonio sultan khan recently got a grandmaster title. If possible please cover few games of his.

Always a great channel. Thank you again! Best wishes from the US.
This is a beautiful game, thank you!
Re your Palestinian flag profile picture and re Alireza 1 - Before Alireza's farming, when has there ever been a legal immoral act IN CHESS/SPORTS?
- Next: dirty flag, quick draws or London system is immoral. Also autosniper in cs2 / csgo. Lol.
- (Well maybe keyboard extensions or farmbitrage - both in lichess.)
- Before, players WERE allowed to write move before playing. Bobby Fischer did this vs I think Mikhail Tal, so what, Bobby cheated Mikhail? Lol.
2 - How can someone be against Alireza's LEGAL farming but not outright ILLEGAL cheating of Magnus, Garry & Hikaru?
Sounds to me more like they hate whichever is more known. I bet they don't even know when Magnus, Garry & Hikaru cheated. Lol.
3 - What do you think of the ff where Bibi Netanyahu defended Alireza Firouzja after Magnus Carlsen cheated Alireza?
yirg14TiLt8
What a crazy game. This kid should aim for being a world champion in the future. Hope he becomes one of the most successful Player of all time.
Magnus will never be world champion. I think Magnus will reach finals of world championship but lose 3x classical games in a row to some nobody from the Philippines
@@nicbentulan whats the deal with Phillipines?
@@divyanshugupta5331
It's a 3rd world country that isn't so known for chess besides Eugene Torre, Bobby Fischer's friends in the Philippines & Bobby Fischer's future adoptive nephew by Lotis Key (whoever that nobody nephew is).
Which means it will be embarrassing when in the future Magnus loses to that nobody 3x classical games in a row.
And what makes you so sure that he's gonna defeat magnus?
@@divyanshugupta5331
Maybe it will be Bobby Fischer's hand of fate guiding h adoptive nephew and successor of Eugene Torre as top Philippine-born player to beat Garry Kasparov's successor as
- the top classical player and
- the top classical player who is a cheater?
Idk I could be wrong. Maybe Garry's successor will beat Bobby's successor in Bobby's own game.
The c8 square was a problem in this game which Magnus capitalized on, just as the piece that starts on c8 is always a problem for black in this defence.
What a game, really enjoyed this one!
I watch this every few weeks or so, I never get tired of young magnus' brilliance!
Good tactical eye for someone so young .
Thanks Agad for covering the game I suggested :) Pawel
Nice find
@@robelengida6211was surprised myself about that awesome sac attempt:)
That move was epic.
You just don't expect a move like that
Wow. Poor Mr. Gulbrandsen got smacked around like a student in this one. What a brilliant game!
I nominated this game for the greatest queen sacrifice of 2002.
For young Magnus, the queen is just a cool missile
I saw the answer before I looked for the game analysis video but man... I must say. This is just incredible.
Some Great moves Queen takes a7 was an incredible brilliant idea an average player would definitely not think of Magnus showing his Chess ingenuity even at this young age Clever little fella 😅
I wouldnt have seen the queen sac unless it was a pause the video moment. Incredible
I feel like I wouldn't have seen it if wasn't for the title of the video
saw it, but never would have without the title
We need some more of your games!!!! Where did they go??
What a Genius Magnus is!
This is Art.
Stunning.
Counterplayless!! Coining new terms in chess! Love it.
I did spot the queen sacrifice but didn't calculate all the continuations. I just saw the vulnerability of the queenside pieces and the king to a back rank check and that Qxa7 screws up the coordination of the black pieces sufficiently to threaten significant material gain.
He didn't take young Magnus seriously and was thoroughly punished for it.
That young boy elo was almost the same as his
I saw the firts one but I didn't see the second quenn sac, as always amazing play from magnus :)
my God if I was playing against a 11 year old boy and did this to me I would be absolutely terrified 😨
Magnus had Tor eating bread crumbs all the way into the deepest darkest parts of the forest of Tal
That hurt.
Why I feel like I have seen this already in your channel before
Well presented, interesting and just the pefect depth.
Love these games especially players with around 2000 rating. Still phenomenal moves but a bit easier to understand from a perspective of noob like myself. At the highest level, these guys are just playing like computers even beyond their preparation. For most people very hard to understand some of those moves. Great video!
WOW what a sacrifice!!
I've heard Counterplayless is the working title of season two of Queen's Gambit on Netflix
Amazing
So bad that your technology do not allow to show the evaluation bar on the video. Goat chess shows it in his videos but I do not know what technology does he have access to, probably some stock fish or the like. It will allow to see more clear every move potential and impact on the game.
Amazing game. Holy Mother of god, Magnus
Wow. Impressive. Fun game
Wonderfull
I was able to solve the "pause the video" moment in 11 seconds to be honest, I was looking for weird ways to sacrifice some material and then suddenly Rxa7 rang a bell, I am proud of myself.
This 11 year old seems pretty good. Should keep doing this chess thing, he might make it one day.
Don't remember seeing a photo of Magnus as a child!
Never really noticed the toy store in the background :)
counterplayless...11 year old Magnus inspiring Agad to invent new words
Nice video and excellent pronunciation of the word Other just a bit after the 7 minute mark ... The TH pronunciations for the words other, another and rather can be difficult if/when English is a secondary/more language..
Nice 👍🙂
Don't forget to treat us with some Daily Rapid Action on Lichess. Is cool to watch you through all the thought process and the ups & downs
When was grenke discontinued, because i literally forgot that grenke used to exist 😅
Chess need to learn Magnus
Wow that magnus has such a bright future
Magnus had multiple ridiculous games/brilliant queen sacs against Tor as a kid. I feel bad for him.
Wow! That game looked pretty even until the Horse, on cue, wrecked the day!
'and now you realise the horror of what you have done' 😂😂😅
Hey agad! If you're seeing this comment please cover the "pearl of poznan" game played in 1931 it features a SPECTACULAR endgame sequence which would be enjoyable to watch
It was worth it, just looking at that thumbnail
Owned
rook sacrifice was also out of nowhere for me
I can't believe I got this one. I never get these Qs.
Wow....I can't believe watching an 11 year old play so aggressively.
Please make video on 6 year old Ashwath kaushik beating GM Jacek stopa {youngest to beat GM}
I saw your video when it had one view :O
That's not an achievement it's just kind of neat.
Love your videos
It's definitely worthy of a Morphy head.
Ps: When I saw the queen moving all the way to the other side to capture on A7, I was like: "What is this? Are u trying to trick us Antonio?" Just wow👌 for a kid that was a pretty manly move
Funny that the computer version of playing Magnus at various ages, doesn't have this level of brilliance. Quite easy to beat him at 11 on the computer.
I think majority of us will agree that most of Magnus' opponents are usually left COUNTERPLAYLESS😄😄....pure genius!
I wish this game was captured on video so that I could see the opponents face when an 11-year old does this.
You might be here for 6:00
Magnus is a born GENIUS🔥
Magnus Orton !
Saw it from the thumbnail 😅
In case you didn’t get it even after the title of the video, it would be rude to not let him win
This Carlsen dude has long been a true maestro. If only there was a way of bringing back the Bobby Fischer of the 1970s.
More Pagganandha games please
And at 11 years, the only thing I knew was candy and biscuits.
Lesson of the day: life is all about sacrifices.
Another missed opportunity to say "... simplifies into a Jan Gustafsson rook-and-pawn endgame".
I thought Alireza was also playing in the German 960 tournament too?
Alireza is indeed. Re Alireza 1 - Before Alireza's farming, when has there ever been a legal immoral act IN CHESS/SPORTS?

No, it isn't a word! And let's be grateful...
The pure imagination that a chess players absolutely insists to get their Queen taken is how you become great. Wonderful game.

I did not find the queen sacrifice. Haha.
GG
That kid has great future in chess if he continues to play😂
Why do you say something "like" b4 to chase away the Queen? What else is like b4? I'm not a titled chess player, but isn't every move considered unique? I mean there is b4 and there is not b4. No???
Can of whoopass
Hmmm, I think this kid might have some potential.
