German Restaurant "Grandpa's Schnitzel" Opens in Sarasota And Is Magnificent!

The highly anticipated opening of "Grandpa's Schnitzel" on 2700 Stickney Point Rd, Sarasota, FL 34231 is a must see and eat if you are in the Sarasota area and certainly worth the trip if you are not.
Firstly, the food is authentic German made by Germans and many of the products are delivered directly from Germany. The cuisine is cooked up by "Chef Michael" who's dad is the namesake for the restaurant and it is co owned by "Alex," Michael's son. The server's; in our case "Brandon" are first rate and well versed and experienced in the delicious items that are served in the restaurant.
The menu is gigantic but each item is cooked with care and love and each day when the restaurant closes between 1:30 and 5:00 to prepare for the dinner crowd; the staff goes out locally and handpicks the best and freshest items that are served in the restaurant and that do not come directly from Germany.
What stands out other than the food is the customer service and the attention that they give their guests. "Chef Michael" comes out of the kitchen often to chat with guests and his son "Alex" does so as well. It is the kind of place you go to once and feel like you have been there many times before because they truly make you feel like family.
We are happy to have visited "Grandpa Schnitzel" and as we are locals; plan to visit many more times.

I'm glad this restaurant is hours away from me. I was stationed in Germany for 9 months and I gained 20 lbs! It was all down to the schnitzel and potatoes. Pure yumminess. This video is going in my bucket list playlist for the next time we're in the Sarasota area.
