PLU was one of the schools I was looking at when I was looking at colleges. The campus is beautiful. It made it into the top two I was seriously considering. I ended up going to the other one of my top two. My favorite building there was the music building.
I've been admitted to PLU as a BA in Theatre!!! What are your favorite/least favorite things about the program? Also, how do you feel the location of PLU in Tacoma serves you? Are you getting good connections in theatre?
It depends- right now I am trying to get my general education requirements out of the way so I'm taking about 1 theatre class/semester (plus a dance class this upcoming one that counts towards my BFA). But eventually I hope it's all theatre classes or only one gened. You can take 17 credits per semester so about 4 full semester classes or a few that are only a few credits. The max is 17 creds I think, minimum 12 (3 4 credit classes)
HI! I'm interested in applying at PLU (I'm only a junior, so I definitely have time) and one big thing that draws me to PLU is the location. I am an East coast girl™, and I was just wondering what you think of Tacoma as a city! I have close family friends about an hour away, but it's still a huge change, so if you have any favorite parts of the campus or the city, I would love to hear about them!
Hello! Sorry I’m just now getting back to you! I like Tacoma, I haven’t explored a ton but there are some cool museums (Chihuly glass!) and one of my favorite places to go is called Point Ruston or Ruston Way, something like that. It’s a really beautiful waterfront. I also love point defiance park- and Seattle is close by as well! Campus is very safe and lovely. I enjoy PLU a lot!
thx for ur sharing. I'm planing to study master in PLU in Sep next year. I'm wondering what's all the expense u would spend in a year including dorm, meals, transportation, etc. thanks!!!
I’m not sure, if you have your general education requirements done you may not have to? But I’m not positive on that one. I do plan on studying abroad!! Not sure when or where quite yet but I very much want to.
I'm an incoming freshman at PLU and I'm living in Hinderlie too! I love your vlogs! They're so helpful and informative!!!

How is their music department? I’ve heard many good things from them.
So how did your experience go??
how many theatre classes do you take/semester snd how many classes do you take/semester overall?

I think it’s a bit different for graduate programs! PLU’s website would probably have more information :)
Do you know if Transfer students have to take two religion classes? & do you plan on studying abroad?
