the ipad is 9.7 screen wise but the actual entire machine is like maybe a 10.2-10.4 inch so 12.9 would feel like a giant, i have a macbook with the 13 inch screen and if i had the screen size as big as my screen it would certainly be very big, i compared it to my ipad pro 2020 11 inch and its small compared to the screen, so yes it is huge!!

I just have one comment that I see with a lot of reviewers in regards to screen protectors and it’s that the PaperLike screen protector gets worn out and scratch marks appear from using the Apple Pencil. Have these marks shown up for you? Also, I’m those screen protector reviews I watched, they compared the Bellemond screen protector and said that it was comparatively better than the PaperLike. The only reason why I’m being critical is because I’m saving up to buy my first iPad for this September 2022 and I want to make sure that when I take class notes, that my Apple Pencil nub doesn’t wear out and the screen protector doesn’t show any marks on it

dont get a paperlike screen protector, your ipad will look awful (image quality) and the oils on your hand make it look shiny. Currently got a normal glass screen protector. If you are gonna get a glass one, get one with a waterphobic layer (aka aquaphobic or however you spell it).

@@moinansari4165 the current M1 iPads are overkill since the apps don’t utilize all the processing power due to dumb Apple limitations. However, WWDC confirmed new iPad features that are on the iMac and this is game changing so I am waiting for the M2 iPads to release in Oct or Nov

For me it's more comfortable because it's close to the size of A4 paper, it's not as big as you think. I have the cellular one and I haven't even inserted the sim yet, just pointless for me tbh but I received it as a gift so I can't complain lol

@@oliwaaa7982 it's on you tbh, if it's in your budget i would go with the 12.9 because even if you're not using it for programming the M1 chip in still vital in terms of longevity. Apple comes out with new products every year and the ipad pro 2018 is already 4 years old and imo it won't last that much longer until there's new essential features added that the ipad pro 2018 won't be able to have. I'd say to go with any ipad that has the M1 chip, I only use my ipad for notes too and I'm not using its full potential but i know it will last me for the whole of sixth form and university because of the M1 chip. If you stay and think about it, apple will find it extremely hard to top the M1 chip in the ipad so an ipad with the M1 will be a good long-term investment, but like I said, it's on you
