HI. I am interested in this curriculum. I will start book 1, but I don't get which guide to use and it looks to be parent intensive, is that the case? thanks

What grade are you planning on starting in? Book 1 (Strayer and Upton) doesn’t start until grade 2 and continues in grade 3. Grade 1 uses Beauty and Truth guides only.
Beauty and Truth lesson plans are entirely written out like a script. It is parent intensive in that sense (that you so the lessons with the students) but not in the sense that you are “teaching” the math. The guides tell you exactly what to say (including hints to help the student figure things out on their own). Students begin independent work in grade 6. There is independent student work at the end of every lesson. Lessons are short, so even though it requires a parent’s time and attention, they don’t take long! Hope that helps!
