Ben Affleck's Batman was badass. Brutal, swole and terrifying. God damn it I wish we got to see him again
Batfleck is how i always wanted a batman to be: a Bruce wayne on steroids, the agility of a gimnast and the IQ of a the most intelligent super computer never make. Batfleck the best Batman ever
You can see a BATMAN that worked on GOTHAM for 20 years with Ben Afflecks delivery , Bale was amazing , but Affleck was majestic. He can give a batman vibe without saying a single word.
Honestly I think Ben Affleck did a marvelous badass job as Batman in my opinion. The suit kicked ass as well as the fight scenes. So yeah I think Ben Affleck is the best Batman in my opinion!
I love Bale as an actor and obviously Batman, maan he's a legendary actor. But Ben for me looks more like Bruce Wayne than Bruce Wayne himself 😂.. Kidding, but this guy is the closest to a comic book Batman and Bruce Wayne. ❤️ #Batfleck
I loved bale as he bought the batman to life and gave the character must needed respect but ben affleck is the ruthless killer batman i was waiting to see... A Scorpio moon is made for this role. (little astrology)
After seeing the Snyder cut, I don't know if Bale is my favourite live action Batman anymore.
We're yet to see Robert Patterson as Batman but as of now, Ben Afleck is probably the most comic book (or TV show) accurate Batman we've ever gotten.
People will say Ben is the best Bruce Wayne and Bale is the best Batman, like Tobey as Peter Parker and Andrew as Spider-man.
But Ben is both the best Bruce Wayne and Batman.
I’d have to agree with you. I think people hated how murderous he was (which is a great point) but they fail to see his qualities. He was the most paranoid Bruce/Batman and that’s the character 100%.
After watching this, I watched a Justice league unlimited clip where Batman stays with a girl named Ace until she dies.
If they can make Batfleck do something like that, he would be perfect.
If you don't understand..........then watch it, you'll see what I mean.
@@dylanoshea5065 I think I know what your talking about with the girl on the swings and he sits with her until she passes. Yeah if only they had done something like that it would’ve helped see his heart more. I agree.
@@ilikecinema33 It's not a great point though. He started as an anti hero. A Batman who lost his way. The movie never took his side on his violence
Hot take but I find myself swaying to agree with you. Batflec was imposing, scary and calculated like you mentioned. That warehouse scene...man, absolutely brutal and you could see/hear the power in all his blows. As someone who grew up on the animated series as well, I agree Ben really does embody him in his fullest. I think Pattinson did a phenomenal job though but do wish we got Batflec vs Deathstroke as well.
Yeah it definitely is a hot take, I’ll own that. But you’re right it’s hard to see everything he brings to the table and not give him the props he deserves. Pattinson did do a fantastic job. I’ve rewatched The Batman probably 10 times already lol. But yah never know, Batman vs. Deathstroke may happen eventually 🤷🏻♂️
He definitely were the best interpretation of batman and the most accurate
Except that he kills. But at least Zack Snyder gave us a understandable reason why.
@@werovivero9219 it is hard to noticed, I had to rewatch the movie at least 3 times to get it, the problem is that you cannot really grasp it just be casually watching it, it's messy, but if you want an easier way to understand, go do some research of some official websites on this.
i really liked Bale’s Batman voice, and Bale as Batman in general, though yeah, i agree, Ben Affleck is my favorite Batman
not only does he literally look like Bruce Wayne, but his suit looks great, his voice is solid, and Ben Affleck is a 6’4 monster of pure testosterone and masculinity
it also helps that i really like BvS, (specifically the Ultimate Edition) so that further elevates this Batman for me
i understood why Batman would start killing people, his reasonings make sense. i also just found it really refreshing to see such a brutal Batman. it had the added bonus of making the fight scenes amazing
Yes I actually enjoyed Bale in Batman Begins and the voice change in the second movie actually wasn’t his fault he was made to come into a studio and re-record his Batman lines to sound more menacing so I don’t blame him for it.
But yeah agree the ultimate edition just helps the power of Afflecks Batman. His reasoning for killing makes a lot of sense especially with his first interaction with Superman being the destruction of a city. I love it too because we all know that Batman does not kill but what would he be like if he did cross that line? That’s Bens Batman and it’s a perfect example of what he would be like.
You understood Balebat’s voice through the rocks gargling in his throat and mouth breathing???
Jokes aside, he played a very good Bruce Wayne, but an okay Batman. Never really saw Balebat as a the kind of Batman that truly terrifies criminals. He mostly just screamed in their face trying to be terrifying. Batfleck though, he literally made most of them piss/sh*t their pants. Conscious or unconsciously after he bashed their face and/or broker their limbs
I respect and agree with your thoughts on Batfleck. But not on Batman V Superman! The story is not sloppy and isn't anything like Michael Bay. Zack Snyder and Chris Terrio know how to tell a story! And while Jessie's Lex Luthor wasn't what most fans were used to. He was amazing, sinister, and very much an evil, manipulative genius!
Is Ben Affleck your favorite Batman? If not tell me who is down below!
@@UnorthodoxDoctor yeah bale portrayed it like anyone else couldn't. The worst way possible
@@hihwsjai188 bruh, that makes me question have you even WATCHED the Triology? XD...RIP BRO
Ben affleck is best batman
Maybe as Bruce Wayne he is, but under the hood? DAMN! He's bulky and Batman is all about stealth and precision. Cristian Bale was comparatively better cause he played both the characters perfectly (Wayne, Batman)
Ben Affleck looked the part and fought like the real Batman. For me he is the best by far. Jesse Eisenberg and Ezra Miller are the absolute worst possible choices for Lex and Flash.
I was fine with Lex ( cuz I never seen him anywhere else) but the Flash😭 and now he is getting a movie.
@@crossfire6558 He could be beast boy. He's got the facial features for him and the built. He's short, very young looking, weird, childish and has his own sense of humor. He'd look good green too. Wally is a ginger. Garrett Hedlund is the guy I'd take for Barry or Wally. Eisenberg would be great as the Mad Hatter.
This is quite definitely the greatest way to describe his Batman. He is the only Batman that really got me more interested in Batman than any of the others. The fact that he's barely hanging onto his morals and sometimes killing people with guns, using kryptonite spears, and fighting Arkhamverse style just really brings out the new version of Batman.
*BATFLECK IS THE GREATEST BATMAN EVER MADE, I DONT CARE WHAT ANYBODY SAYS*

Affleck is hands down the best Batman in any movie. For anyone who wasn't too big on BvS I highly suggest watching the ultimate cut because those 30 minutes added to the movie really flushed out a lot of fan concerns of the theatrical cut.
IMO....or I should say I'm really hoping it's that with the new Discovery purchase of Warner media they will see just how damn amazing ZS's JL was and move with part 2 and 3 of that trilogy and hopefully Ben can finally get his solo Batman movie even if it was just a HBO Max release.
Batman killing people purposely was definitely werid but when he fought I was like that’s Batman I know that warehouse scene had more Batman action then Nolan’s version did
FINALLY........someone that sees what I see!!!!! Affleck was the perfect Bruce Wayne and Batman. He just never got the respect of having a solo film. Although the Nolan Trilogy is good, Bale wasn't amazing at being "feared". 100% agree with you. The Batman scenes in BvS are the only thing that keep the movie watchable. Here's to the Batman/Deathstroke movie we'll never see🍻😢
He really was! It’s nice to meet people who see the greatness in him! It definitely is sad we won’t see what that Deathstroke would’ve been like but you never know. The multiverse is full of endless possibilities!
He should have had longer ears sharper ears and a pointier nose and a better eyebrow frown on his cowl and it would've been perfect
Great vid, fam. I'm a huge fan of Ben's interpretation on Batman and Bruce... as brutal as the warehouse fight scene was, I thought his battle with Supes was pretty raw too!
One cool thing about comic movies is that just like with the comic books we all know and love, there's always room for an alternate timeline, a deviation from canon, or an addition/retelling of a past event in the main timeline. I wish we could have seen an extension of Ben's Batman in the form of another movie or two... he was smart, and beast af. Looking forward to the Year One flick, but bummed to know we won't see a brawler like Batfleck do his thing again.

“He just wasn’t right for this role”
How dare you insult-
“In my opinion”
…Can’t argue with that
I agree with you on this, he is the most intimidating Batman of all and the most comic book accurate. Unfortunately, DC didn't give creative freedom to Ben Affleck to improve the character. I'm sure Ben did his homework on studying the character and executing it to the screen, but Zach killed his role by telling a bad story.
I agree with that 100%. It’s crazy to know what could have been if they would’ve given him the control necessary to improve the character.
Ben Afleck was brilliant in BvS
The warehouse fight was as Batman was meant to be!
@@JHssssss like on a killing spree!? Ouch not that again, people complaining how murderous he is when he no longer is, don't encourage batfleck to do that again

Batfleck Forever 🤛🏻🤛🏻🤛🏻
BATFLECK CHAD 😎......
Christian bale is damn,,,,,but ben affleck is also good❤️
I respectfully disagree, I think in terms of appearance and all that Batfleck is very good and I think he could have had a bright future. However I think his introduction, writing, and characterization all suck compared to other iterations. I thought he was much better in bvs than he was in zsjl if it weren’t for the killing. I like Batman to be cynical, pragmatic, and not trusting of literally anyone except for Alfred. In zsjl he was just too bubbly and hopeful all the time for me. I know that sounds bad but I’m just so used to the logic and cynicism from the justice league animated series. It almost seemed as if they got Superman and Batman’s personalities mixed up lol. Anyways this was an interesting take and I’ll def be subbing.
And I definitely respect your opinion. And honestly I agree with you that BVS Batman & ZSJL Batman are two different characters. I enjoy the BVS one because of all the reasons you stated. I was honestly confused with how trusting he was in ZSJL. That BVS one though gave me hope.
@@ilikecinema33 okay so we basically agree then lol, I need to pay attention to the vid next time.
@@gago7823 No worries! I appreciate you letting me know what you think. I always enjoy a good Batman convo.
I don't recall Batman being an alcoholic, burnt-out murderer or xenophobic. He is supposed to be around Superman age starting his career around that time the world's greatest detective. And he is somewhat quiet and observant. Scott Atkins better Batman
In bvs Batman has no hope for humanity but when Superman sacrifices himself bats stops killing bc he would be dishonoring his final act. That’s also part of why he is all trusting and stuff in zjl Superman showed him that there’s always hope and bats is doing what he can to right his wrongs by giving the world a league of heroes bc he feels responsible for the death of Superman. I get what you’re saying though but in my opinion it was a very interesting and smart choice to make Batman go through that
Seeing Batmans parents die is like seeing Uncle Ben die in Spiderman. We already know it happens and don’t need to keep seeing it in every adaptation
Even cartoon Batman wooped enough ass to make you wonder if mfers were dying.. Someone made a joke to him about how he doesn't kill but he's cool with like permanently maiming people lol. Batman would put the beats on someone so hard if it were real life they'd for sure be dead. I always took his vow against killing to just be an easy explanation of how he doesn't like to use guns like a lot of other human characters who base their entire skillset on a mastery of firearms. Makes his character more interesting and gives him a wider use of cool ninja gadgets. Batfleck took the base Batman and made it realistic as it could probably get while still staying true to my idea of a Batman.
FINALLY Ben Affleck is legit the only irl batman actor that I have actually liked. Hell I fucking love his Batman and Bruce Wayne. His voice is fantastic, he moves without looking like he has a stick up his ass and the suit is outstanding. I really wish he comes back as Batman in the future.
his character arch was definitely not complited. I would've loved to see him losing his faith in humanity after Dick's death and his redemption after the death of Superman explained more, but for now he's not better than a top3 for me.. (not including Battinson ofc, he has the potential to be number #1 on my list)
HELL YEA HE IS, BATFLECK IS THE GREATEST BATMAN, ruthless and frightening hulking force of justice!!!!!!!

Very concise and hilarious video man holy shit 🤣😂
This was a very well thought out video essay of Ben Affleck Batman yk this was actually the first dc movie I ever saw in theaters way back in 2016 wit my 14 yr old self getting all hyped up for this film but yo Ben's Batman I truly admire and feel he's both a legit Bruce Wayne in terms of mannerism and how well he carries himself to his Batman being so hardcore especially with that warehouse fight scene🔥🔥🔥💯💯
Thanks for the kind words! And glad you got to enjoy a superhero in this day of critics. It’s all about enjoyment and the characters we love!
that Zemo bit was exactly what I was explaining to a friend of mine. He was there just to stir the pot.
Right? I like Zemo but he wasn’t needed. Not every movie needs a villain, only a sensible conflict and resolution.
After Watching Omni-Man and Homelander!!!
BvS is growing on me more and more! Bruce have all the right to take down Superman! I think in the future.. BvS will become the most memorable movie of all time! maybe a cult movie!

Batfleck is my favourite Batman bar none, and this is coming from someone who grew up with the Nolan trilogy and cried when Batman "died" at the end of TDKR (I was 10 at the time). also the voice modulator is GENIUS, the whole"batvoice" deal always felt stupid to me (sorry Conroy)
I'd like to think that battinson is just a younger version of batfleck
It's sucks that people give Ben Affleck s*** for being Batman. To me I like them and I think that he embodies a combination of the Arkham Batman and The dark Knight returns Batman very well. I hope moving forward if he's doing okay and if they decide to do it I hope hbm exercises to do something with Deathstroke and him
I couldn’t agree more. He doesn’t deserve hate at all. And if he’s mentally wanting to return them I’m all for it but I’ll never try to bully a celebrity into doing something just for my entertainment.
Excellent video and great points..
Bales Batman was too small and too armored to take seriously. Granted they all wear toouch armor for me (I prefer the classic minimal armor costume myself) but Affleck just did it- his brooding, his rage- and that Alfred was AMAZING!
Nothing touches the Bale Tumbler for Batmobile (next is the '66 for me) but all in all once you factor in Leto' s Joker and I don't wNt to ever see another live action Batman that isn't Affleck.
After Zombie's version I walked away from Michael Myers because no version of him will ever be as terrifying as Mane's.
Affleck and Leto's scenes have do that for Live action Batman and Joker for me... 👍
And with all that armor Talia still plunged that blade in his side like it was nothing.. Stuff like that is what made Bale batman stupid at times. He also had some horrible one liners.
I like the portrayal of batfleck,he is a veteran vigilante who fought criminals and villains for 20 years with robin and witnessed his death which drove him to giving up the code. What makes batfleck amazing or at least interesting is that he is similar to frank millers batman where he lost a lot of people, veteran, even kill bad guys, in one scene in the bvs movie a Russian guy tells batman to drop the gun or he will kill Martha in Bruce said those famous word “ I believe you” and shoots his tank, whereas in the frank miller comic Bruce said the same thing and shot the person holding a kid hostage, which makes even interesting that we get to see this live adaptation of Batman with the fighting style from the Arkham series.
The best Batman is Kevin Conroy and the best live action Batman is Michael Keaton
@@dookus4530 Thats Batman Returns. He never does anything like that in the first one. But also, its not implausible. Bruce Wayne is kind of crazy to begin with. The idea that hes teetering on the edge of sanity underneath the mask is the BEST version of him.
Everyone keeps bringing up the killing with batfleck. But if you remember correctly, Michael keaton blew up someone in batman returns. He strapped a bomb to a man's chest, keaton smiled, and then threw him in the hole. And walked away when he blew up
Yes he sure did. Affleck and Keaton were just 2 out of many live action Batman to kill. Eventually as a kid I had to accept my live action Batmen would kill bc if I didn’t I’d never enjoy a Batman movie. Except for Clooney and Pattinson they never killed which is a W.
I genuinly agree. I think he wasn't lucky with the chosen script. I think we would had a masterpiece if we had a movie where he fights a non supernatural foe like pingouin, joker, riddler etc...
100% with you on that. If they would’ve started with his solo movie with a street character then him going up against Superman would’ve meant more.
Batfleck has the looks down. But literally everything else about the character of Batman he failed about as miserably as I've ever seen anyone fail at anything but that might be the writers fault.
@karl joshua Gabriel let him be a killer. I'm upset that batman was anything but the smartest man in the room in any scene of the movie. Bruce is a super genius and the best tactical mind on the planet and he is arguing pointlessly and throwing verbal cheap shots at wonder woman. That's not my batman.
@@ianmcfadden2794 he didn't argue pointlessly or took cheap shots at WW what are you on about?? Josstice League?? That doesn't even count
Affleck was one of the most accurate depictions of Batman, but since his version had already been working for 20 years, so making a prequel would probably be difficult. Batman vs Superman was really good in my opinion. It gives Batman a legitimate reason to hate Superman, kinda like Captain America Civil War. Pattinson will do a good job in the role, just wish Affleck got more love for his work.
Great points! While BVS isn’t my favorite I definitely see the appeal to some people and it has certain aspects I enjoy (Like Ben who is Bat Daddy 4Ever).
Pattinson was great, he was able to convey brokenness, rage and isolation really well. Batman 2 is on top of my most anticipated list.
I’m glad that I’m not alone in thinking that Ben Affleck’s Batman is my favorite of all time.
Excellent and well spoken hot take. I'm with you on this.
I like and love Ben Affleck as batman he is the best batman and he is a perfect actor for the DCEU and I rather not want to see someone else play batman and Ben Affleck is a lot better batman than anyone else in this planet
if ben's batman didnt kill, id like him a lot more
Favorite part of BvS was his debut scene song the wall. That was comic book movement.
Also loved the physics feats enhanced by tech. Putting men through walls, floors… choke slams and suplexes🔥🔥🔥
The Arkham Series of games was the idea Batman, and Ben’s was almost perfect. Nothing really touches the animated universe lol
Ben Affleck is the Bruce Wayne Goat, Kevin Conroy Is the Voice Goat, and the Actual Goat is Keaton.
I agree bro, interesting video!
Fun fact: Originally, Affleck was set to co-write (with Geoff Johns), direct, and star in the solo movie - but he stepped away from the director's chair in 2017, and was replaced by Matt Reeves. Reeves then scrapped the script and started fresh, and rumors of a new Batman soon sprung up.
he also has the best bat suit. like the BvS suit slaps, its ripped straight out of the comics, and the cowl is so dope as well.
They were going for the dark knight returns realistic design but the thing annoys me the most were his white eyes being non existent
I remember the police part. When the lighting hit and you see him in the corner, Omgggg I let out a little streak because I got scared 😂😂😂
What did you think of the new Batman? Would be interesting to see what you think. I loved it and liked the young inexperienced Batman we've never had before on the big screen.
To summarize I loved the film. Im actually gonna be reviewing it and every other live action Batman in an upcoming video!
Im mad at the studio for killing Ben's hope for being a good Batman. He is my favorite Batman hopefully in the Flash movie he will get his hope and hopefully get his solo film or continue being batman in the DCEU. Most likely not due to Robert Pattison. Affleck is my fav batman im really mad at Warner Bros for doing Ben dirty
Head Canon. Arthur Fleck inspired the real Heath Ledger Joker, who turned Robin insane resulting in Leto's Joker, formally Robin.
That’s some crazy multiversal head canon you got going on there but I can dig it!
As a die-hard Nolan's Dark Knight Trilo Fan
I can easily say Ben Affleck was a perfect choice for an experienced role of Batman in the DCEU . He literally has the physical essence of an experienced vigilante like Batman and the appearance like experienced Bruce Wayne . It's sad that we wont get to see him after FLASH
Couldn’t of said it better myself . The Flash will be a bitter sweet movie to watch.
Bruh! Thank you for validating my thoughts. I have been saying this for a minute, only to be met with people trying to say Keaton is the best. Ben Affleck is the man.
When thinking about who the best Batman was, I think of myself not as Batman, but a criminal.
I'm a criminal holding a gun, looking into darkness ready to open fire against everything that.moves, and suddenly a shadow starts to form...
Who's shadow, of all Batmans I've seen, would ABSOLUTELY TERRIFY ME the most?
Remember, we are not facing a random man on a stupid custom... We are facing probably the most gifted, strong, athletic and lethal man on Earth, trained in a thousand martial arts, with a top technological arsenal, the IQ of a genious mind, an almost unbreakable spirit and a the will of a determined and meticulous top tier sociopath...
You're facing, basically, the only human on Earth capable of leading a group of meta-humans with superhuman powers while not falling short... And, actually, the only human capable of beat the shit out of them if they step over the line.
That's how badass The Bat can actually be... Can you even IMAGINE facing that, as a common criminal?
And Ben's Batman nails it. He scared the shit out of you, even when you know he's one of the good guys.
First, he looks like not just "Batman", he looks like stright out of a horror movie. You FEEL terror when you see him (the scene in the docks with the two cops, the first time we see him... That's Stephen King wet dreams dude) his combat style is ruthless yet so tactical, his timing, his strategies, his plans... So well executed, so brilliant, like made by a mastermind (like It should be) but also you see him improvise and go from plan A to B, and then C, and then D... Until he runs out of letters... And then he starts counting...
You FEEL like he has everything under control, he's always cold, his mind is on point.
Batfleck feel just Batman. He's undefeatable, he's unbreakable...
He's just pure TERROR.
Affleck's combat was by far superior to every other live action batman. It's not even close. Dark Night Rises Bane would need the venom and still he'd get humiliated.
Facts he would molly whop TDKR Bane even with the venom. 60 seconds tops tbh.
I wish they would've explored more of batman and that they should've made the batman movie instead of scrapping it and making the new batman, even though I also like the Robert Pattinson Batman they have to stick to one batman instead of already making a new one, I also like how this batman universe was already set up from the first movie, what I mean is that everything had already happened, batman had already met the joker, Harley Quinn had already fallen in love with the joker, batman had already faught killer croc, and deathstroke, he had already adopted robin, joker had killed robin. This was an older Bruce Wayne, but not too old like Dark Knight Returns Batman. They had a perfect, comic-accurate, and intimidating batman and they didn't do much with him.
I disagree that he would lose sight of his no kill rule, even if he was jaded and lost a Robin. since that is what he was built around. I believe he’s too strong willed to fall down that path. But other than that, good portrayal.
1:24, nice edit making Chris O'Donnell Nightwing. Then again for the Batman and Robin movie with George Clooney they could have basically made him Nightwing remove the cape and change his symbol to blue and there u go.
Thanks I found the picture tbh and thought it worked. For sure they should’ve did what you suggested. I mean it would’ve worked for their separation in the movie.
The comparison to the Batman from the Animated series could not be more accurate, as a 90s kid that one really clicked for me.
As the only actor to play Superman and Batman, I have to say I was surprised and thought he did an excellent job as Batman. It's too bad they didn't make a full length Ben Affleck Batman movie, I bet it would've surprised everybody!
Anytime i say how ben was a great batman, so many bale fans get triggered lmao
I totally agree man I also grew up with the animated series. I don’t get why Ben gets the hate he does.
Same here my friend! I think it’s bc of the mercilessness of his crime fighting that turned some traditional fans off. But I love the take bc it shows what Batman would do if he snapped after 20 years of no change. I understand though, everybody has their preference 🤷🏻♂️.

I feel Affleck was never convincing enough to be a superhero.I think there's more to script development problems as to why Affleck is the only cinematic Batman to not get a solo film. But now he's not interested in doing Batman anymore which is quite alright to me..
In terms of comic book accuracy solely based off physicality yes ofc hands down Affleck. But boi
if you don’t put some respect on Bales name for completely nailing the dichotomy between his ultra heroic Batman n his charmingly charismatic yet aloof Bruce Wanye. Bale gave us arguably the best fully realized Bruce Wayne to date.
Yeah I’ll be honest. During my rewatch for a review I just released I changed my opinion on his Bruce Wayne. He’s now my favorite Bruce due to the fact he was able to have a polar opposite personality making it impossible to connect him with Batman. However I’m still not a huge fan of his Batman. Still a letdown to me.
Ben Affleck was "good" but Michael Keaton was GREAT.
@@Mercwithamouth616 Actually, Adam West was cool for the 1960s. But can you really see him in Burton's Batman89/92?

Yeah from the research I’ve done Afflecks Batman solo film would’ve dealt with really deep, dark egotistical places in Bruce’s mind along with Deathstroke being a good choice to play mind games with him and the fight scenes would’ve been amazing but it is what it is. I love Batman and the Pattinson one looks very interesting so I’ll be giving it a watch but I agree probably the biggest wasted opportunity was Batflecks solo film.
This is controversial...but I think Clooney was the closest physical manifestation of Bruce Wayne/Batman. He could have been great if he was given a decent film to star in.
Honestly during my rewatch for my upcoming review of all The Batman movies I noticed how great his Bruce Wayne. I just think he phoned The Batman part bc he knew he was in bad movie. Clooney is still a goated actor though. So not a bad take at all tbh.
This version of Batman is cynical and jaded, justice by any means, and in the old comics he used to kill.
Exactly, I wish they would’ve leaned more into in the later films but I still love it no matter what!
It's cute how these bandwagon Nolan batman fans who know nothing about batman outside the trilogy trash batfleck.
