Thanks for the video. I have a similar setup in a Commander 114TC that I recently upgraded with the A2000 system. Been a real nightmare from the start and finally getting settled after over a year of back n forth with the shop that installed it. You give me one more thing to "check into" as I have noticed I generally hand fly smoother then the AP. Also approaches it always seems to be to the right of the localizer. Mine is slaved to a Stec 55X. The most frustrating thing about the install is the lack of overall confidence I have with it. Makes going IFR typically a NO GO. Frustrating to say the least.
I test flew my new PROMAX Aspen 2000 with new Stech 55x. UN commanded 1500 ft/min climb straight up like a home sick angel in my Mooney, when I pressed ALT. NO More either net cables they say. Not sure what went wrong. They say it’s all good now. Test flight this week….again.
Our Bo has the older Aspen 1000 hooked up to a KFC-150, and (knock on wood) has been pretty good. The only problem we've run into is the Aspen losing AHARS, but a quick reset brings it back to life. Glad that hasn't happened on an approach yet...
Scott - another great video thanks. I have the same basic panel as you do - GTN 750, GTX 345, Aspen Pro MAX PFD with Altitude Pre-select, and KFC 200 with STEC Yaw Dampner. So far, my Pro MAX is doing a great job driving my KFC 200, but maybe my installer used the Aspen Ethernet cables? Anyway, I think that the Aspen Pro MAX is a great PFD and so far I have been very happy with mine and how it works with the KFC 200. Glad you got yours worked out. Keep the great videos coming! I learn a lot from your videos. I am based in Gladewater 07F so in the same neighborhood (Texas!).

First rule of Cisco networking cert - Check physical connections! 😁

Sounds sporty;)
Our club planes are having the same issues. Not inspiring confidence in IMC
It's a wiring issue... the wiring used is not up to Spec with the Pro Max's.

Percy- Glad to hear it! I think the older 1000 Pro's are more tolerant of the incorrect Ethernet cable installation.

Stephen- Thanks, I really appreciate it! Maybe we need to get a Texas Meet-up organized!
The false economy of cheap connections.
