MY INTERPRETATION: I think this song about Ten surrendering to his alter ego (the monstrous performer and artist that he is) which is actually a source of great power. Being in group of 26 members he had to subdue his real shine to blend in ("I've been waiting so long, hiding my power"). I think his desire to grow in his field is so strong and although he tries to keep it down low cuz he maybe the time is not yet right before, he actually has been biding his time to finally show his capabilities all along. It's also a fact that SM kept him in their dungeon for so long only to be sent to China and then after that WayV doesn't even get to get a momentum cuz of the Lucas scandal and then again Ten was on hiatus for almost 2 years. He was forced to bury his artistic power which is actually a very strong force inside of him that he can't resist. This song is about him surrendering to that "higher fire" inside of him.
Yea so I feel the same the song is definitely about his career in the industry and him finally getting the solo we know he's been wanting for forever and then some. I'm sure Ten has had many times where he questioned if he made the right decision to become an idol/artist especially given how restrictive SM is. He's been through so much and SM is a huge part of how he's been held back and only used or promoted when it benefitted them because they know he's definitely one member who draws people in to NCT as a whole. But here he is finally able to unleash his true potential. Which as true fans knows he's able to do when it comes to his solos. I felt like he was also saying that he can't let go of this dream and this desire to make music no matter how much it hurts him so he continues to give in and fight despite all the trials both he and WayV have had to face over the years. It's a powerful song bruh.

I feel as though the devil is either SM or the Entertainment Industry or both. It's a beautiful monster this dream of his to be an artist but it comes with a lot of cons. This his solo has been a long time coming and Ten has had to face a lot of ups and downs on the way to his first official solo debut, which he's been dreaming about since before he officially even debuted in NCT U. He's had many highs and lows, he was put in a sub unit and was arguably the most skilled at that time, probably having to tone down his skills because in a team while you can shine and stand out it sometimes diminishes the morale of the entire team. Like everyone has to catch up and get to his level (which WayV ultimately have while using Ten as inspiration). Ten has probably had his doubts about whether this is the right path for him many times but this beautiful monster has a strong hold on him, she or he or it keeps pulling him back in each time (maybe SM with promises of a debut, WayV world tour, better opportunities overall and treatment). He hates it but he also loves it. It's a sacrifice and maybe it's worth it because finally he can unleash his full power; which Ten always does with his solo work because it's his chance to shine, stand out, think outside the box and be creative unlike the pigeon hold SM currently has WayV in under the guise of them not being as well known as other groups or NCT Units (which is honestly such Bullshit). Anyway the entire album is amazing and he really did his thing as expected. 6 amazing songs. I can't wait for his next solo because I know he'll continue to evolve and give us variety as time goes on.

If you watch ten's interview with Eric Nam on the daebak show he explains that when he was asked to do a solo album and what kind of music he wanted to do he wanted to try all different genre's and all the tracks on the album are parts of him like he is playing a character that represents different sides of him.
