    It's better to perfectly know how to count first. Once you master it, saying the dates and month in cantonese will definitely a piece of cake. The character “號” is new to me. I'm used to “日" as you explained that it's more used in spoken form.

      You are absolutely right! I forgot to include a link to one my previous videos where I talked about counting, I shall do that now! I also uploaded a short video summarising counting in Cantonese!
      As for the word 號, as mentioned, it is mostly spoken, even with some Mandarin speakers, 號/号 is often said instead of 日. In Cantonese, we rarely say 日, although we may write it.
