- Huh, I actually don't know why I assumed Cu would know he and Gil have the same master. And I know I didn't just assume that for this abridged alone. Guess it must have been fannon I picked up somewhere years ago and never thought about it.
- So if those categories are different, who fits the other one. I can think of a few who would make a good running, but anything with ORT seems like overkill, so I wouldn't assume that one.
- Saber... Guess my Eresh simp is showing on this one. I'd say that's embarrassing, but that would imply I have shame.
- My first Fate series was Deens Fate Stay followed by their Tsukihime. Yeah, didn't even know how dirty they did Lancer.

@@Airier As much as I adore the Deen anime, they do both Archer and Lancer dirty. Archer by having him need to use Unlimited Bladeworks to take on Berserker(as well as not showing more of the fight), and Lancer by having him get taken out way too fast. Also the weird stuff with Caster kidnapping Sakura that was just done to throw a reference to Heaven's Feel because they'd never animate that route.
I think Archer's talking about Lancer's fight with Gilgamesh in the Fate Route concerning the arrow protection.

Compared to that, here she switches instantly (at least in Abridged, original UBW took more time too). Am I the only one who actually felt kinda bad for Shirou when Rin became Saber's master? I mean, I get that it was the only way to save him, and at this point in the story the only thing that is different is Saber's Master. Like, the relationship between Saber, Rin and Shirou does not change, but still... I felt kinda bad
Why? shirou would probably be relived over this cause now him dying doesn’t mean saber dies. Plus since she isn’t being fed by his shitty circuits, he doesn’t have to simultaneously feed her prana while also simultaneously tracing.
It’s just a massive win overall for everyone involved. Including shirou.

Shirou gets shafted a lot in the series and getting his servant contracted with someone else just doesnt sit right. again logically I know its for the best but still.
Not really......he admires Saber but she is not his not number one priority now.Rin now is also not that interested in Saber as well,so i would look at that as a situation when married couple's shares their property.(considering how little hesitance she had giving Shirou her magic crest kinda confirms it)

I always like lancer has a fondness for Rin, which makes it perfect that he's her servant in Extra
Funnily enough that is also a reference to how at one point of writing the script Rin was supposed to have Lancer as her Servant. Her predecessor in Nasu's highschool writing had Lancer (although that version was very different, Fate/Prototype in general was a whole other story). This is why the VN hinted good chemistry between Rin and Lancer as a subtle nod to this. Then it became even more blatant when Rin in Fate/Extra has Lancer.

22:45 no. Archer’s whole plan was to Skrew over caster. Kirei was nowhere in the plan.
Even if he was, Kirei barley supplies Cu with anything. all the shit he does is mostly through his own reserves. On top of that, Kirei’s magic circuits are nearly comparable to shirou’s cause not only did he get them through mutation, but he didn’t use them for most of his life. So to compensate his lack of prana output, he uses command seals to super charge his magecraft or blades when necessary.

That's the weird part, I've heard her version before, but the voice sounded like who says slightly different pitch than I was expecting from her. Maybe it was just a different tuning in the background that threw me off. 🤔

"I prefer blondes" refers to saber, cause he's from the timeline in the VN where you choose saber, archer is exclusively the variation from fate, in ubw he realizes things are different so he takes it into his hands to try and stop shirou from becoming him, and in heavens feel shirou gives up his dream so he doesn't have a purpose in the war anymore
Cu in FGO is probably one of the best servants at not dying. In fact Honako Green has probably beaten every challenge quest/boss fight with Cu solo.
In FGO it's honestly the kit that makes or breaks a servant, the stars actually aren't all that relevant. On a technical stand point the stars only effect the attack and hp values.

Ae for the cryptic things Archer said that confused you, remmember that EMIYA Archer comes from a a timeline that mostly follows the FATE Route. So, while he has implete knowledge to this timeline he also knows how things went in the other
- When he asked about where where the fourth reinforcement was, he meant Gilgamesh, HE KNOWS Kirei is the master of both, he just "corrects" himself when Cu ask if he refers to his master to keep the façade.
- " I prefer blondes" , EMIYA Archer comes from a timeline most similar to the FAYE Route, so his main love interet was saber
- when he ask if Lancer has proyectile protection and when confirmed says that explains that's how he lasted a whole day, as well as at the end of the fight when he said to him he desserved better, he reffers to his end in the FATE timeline, where he was betrayed and tortured by Kirei and Gilgamesh

Actually, Cu's one of the strongest 3 stars in the game if you set him up right and grail him. Really the 3 stars thing is probably more about compatibility with the Master (in FGO, Ritsuka) than him being weak.

I watched in the order of Fate: Stay Night then UBW and I firmly believe that UBW is the best ending, F:SN is the neutral ending and I need to know where to buy all three copies of Heavens Feel (in Japanese with English subtitles because f*** dubs) because I need to see what type of ending I think that one is.

Looking at the movie under the red hood Archer isn’t wrong about Batman ideals they pretty much screw him and people he love over and even if he did kill the joker no one is ever stay dead long in DC. Nasu: It’s not that he clearly remembers details. His memories are vague, and at the point where he was assigned as a guardian, his memories are all blended together chaotically regardless of past or future. So, he no longer has the sensation of “what he feels is beautiful” anymore. Just think the “first contact with Saber” was something engraved into his soul as an Art Graph. Also, how that young man met Saber and how he was involved is something completely different from that in stay night.
You skipped the announcement in the end credits. In it they announced that they are going to do Heaven's Feel Abridged after they are done with UBW Abridged.

One that, even if they defeated Kirei/Gilgamesh, Shirou wasn't able to understand Saber's feelings leading to her not being able to reconnect to her humanity, leading to her probably keep waiting for the Grail or simply dying without fully reciprocating Shirou's feelings and Shirou foolishly clinging to a flawedly idealized version of his dream

Also sorta wrong about him being from the Fate timeline. In the abridged they make it seem like he's from the Fate Timeline but it's more so he's from a completely different timeline that plays out similar to the og Fate

It's actually kinda interesting. We always talk about Fate, Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven's Feel as the only three major timeline splits for the Fifth Holy Grail War, but there are multiple others hinted at. Another unseen possibility is the route that Fate/Hollow Ataraxia is a sequel to, where everyone but Kirei Kotomine survived the Grail War, AND the OTHER route that Hollow Ataraxia is also sort of a sequel to where Caster and Kuzuki had a massive battle with Berserker and Illya at Ryuudou Temple.

After Gilgamesh kills caster. Shiro went to kerei to talk about the 8th servant. But Kerei plans to kill him.
Shiro was injured and saber , Lancer and Gilgamesh gets there.
Lancer said he will hold Gilgamesh off untill saber escape with injured shiro.
In anime it shows Gilgamesh use chains to kill lancer quickly but didn't go after them because kerei already captured illiya.

1. soloing an entire army for several months straight,
2. fighting his best friend/rival Ferdiad mac Roch for three additional continuous days in between soloing the aforementioned army,
3. the jealous war goddess Morrigan crippling him by tricking him into breaking his magic contracts,
4. three spears mortally wounding on top of being crippled, leaving him to slowly bleed out to death
5. and still after all of that he managed to drag himself towards a large rock, and tie himself to it using his own disemboweled intestines, so by technicality he was still standing
6. and even after dying he managed to get one more kill in when his sword holding arm went limp and slashed the one enemy soldier sent to check if he was actually dead

The Causality Reversal is NOT the power of the Gae Bolg spear. It's ONLY a spear technique NP.
This is why Scathach cannot use that ability.
It's actually just a spear technique at the level of True Magic just like how Kojiro's Tsubame Gaeshi is a sword technique at the level of True Magic.
The Spear actually only has two powers:
1- Anti-Healing curse;
2- Curse of Instant Death if the heart is pierced. This curse is powerful enough to defeat Arcueid if she was hit in the heart with it even though she lacks the concept of Death.
The spear throw is also just a spear technique, with most of its power coming from Lancer rather than from the spear.
And the throw was powerful enough to sheer through Rho Aias.
I've been wondering lately, is there any reason Archer can't trace the reversal thrust? It would have been supremely useful against True Assassin, for example.

A good question, if Shirou with just an arm could replicate god speed by tracing the technique you’d think Archer would have made use of that by tracing the technique from Gae Bolg
Then again Nine Lives Blade Works could only perform 8 strikes at Godspeed so something like the Gae Bolg and its ability was probably something that Archer couldn’t make use of
While Gae Bolg itself lacks the reversal of causality, it does actually actually seek the heart when thrown, that's how it's anti-army deployment works. It's scans the amount of enemies, splits into multiple copies for the number of targets verified, then seeks their heart for maximum effect. That's the reason Archer chose to block with Rho Aias instead of countering, he canceled out "seek the heart" with "block all thrown weapons"(think of the unstoppable force vs immovable object paradox).
The anti-healing curse is the actually same as the instant death curse. When someone is pierced by the spear, it sends a curse in the form of thorns throughout the target, which prevents healing of the wound. If the targets heart is pierced, the curse can spread throughout the entire body, guaranteeing death.

16:23 To answer your question, Archer is referencing Lancer's fight with Gilgamesh in the Fate route, specifically in the VN where it says it lasted 24 hours. The Deen adaptation left that out and made the fight last mere moments instead.
I love the fact that Archer and Lancer keep referring to each other by the names they gave each other during their first encounter: "Bite me" and "Mario", even though Archer obviously knows who Lancer is and Lancer knows at the very least that that isn't Archer's name 🤣🤣

The Route from were Archer comes from is most similar to Fate Route, *almost* identical, and even though he and Saber "won the war" by defeating Kirei and Gilgamesh, he couldn't reach her heart, she would keep on pursuing her desire to obtain the Grail and seeing herself as failure. Also, there are lots of moments were (while not saying it flat out) it is implied that Archer holds affection and respect for Saber and his knwoledge of the war matches for the most part the events of Fate Route + the fact that UBW must come after Fate in the reading/watch order is in made for us to realize that Archer is a Shirou that fought alongside Saber: he came to admire and love her, but wasn't able to understand himself and her in a way that would end up in their mutual salvation through their bond.

Class advantage is just an FGO gameplay mechanic and has no relations to the strengh of servant, just like rarity who is just an indicator of how much they want you to pay on average for a servant.

Archer is from FSN timeline, so him preferring blondes is reference to Saber and Cu lasted whole day there against Gilgamesh (although in anime they did make him die quickly).

It's actually entirely unrelated to copyright stuff. We just wanted to work with her to have it made because we love her work and wanted to inject more of our own energy into the show. Melodies are also copyrighted, and we still have to deal with that when uploading episodes with the cover.

Hey, he's the BEST ✮✮✮ in the game. His damage is the HIGHEST for ✮✮✮ too, and is better than some ✮✮✮✮ servants, not to mention you can solo a lot of content with the man once you've properly upgraded him!

I just checked the credits towards it when they first used it in episode 8, of course it was a cover but it was done by Corinne "Megami33" Sudberg and Dave Does Music, I tried looking for this particular cover or any connection to their channels but still haven't found it, my guess is they only did an intro and not a full cover but I hope I'm wrong and that you find it.
