“'Wouldn’t It Be Like You' was written after a lot of conversations and a deep dive into the Gospels. We were amazed at how often people either completely missed Jesus, or expected Him to be different than He was. He didn’t fit the religious leaders’ narrative for what the Messiah should look like and even His disciples, who were convinced that He was the Messiah, expected Him to take up arms and lead a revolution.
"Instead, He healed the sick, set people free, spent time with the outcasts, welcomed the children, ate with the tax collectors, and in the ultimate shock; He died and then rose from the dead! This song has been such and instrument of mercy to my heart and life... if you only knew my story. I am a man of God and Christian. Was extradited to another state on false charges and did months in 3 jails in 3 states and was released the first or second night in the hotel I was feeling hopeless and suicidal. This song came out and I wept and wept and turned away from the spirit of death and suicide back to the father. Thank you
