The current socioeconomic political environment has discriminated against me, kept me from enlightening people. I have been victimized repeatedly, even survived an attempt on my life. Nearly murdered, I was stabbed in the face twice. The eight inch screw driver damaged the artery in my throat. Unprovoked and saved by an angel, who had his ear cut in half. "Truth" What is truth? God, Love, Rape, personal identity, miracle birth, ancestral condition, hurts your reality, worth, who's paternity, place of origination, faith, a cradle of civilization, fate, a spiritual connection? They’re murderers who killed their parents for an inheritance. MONEY talks. If you get a public pretender they do the very least. Your going to jail. But someone with the exact same charges that has money and can't afford a great lawyer is getting off
A judge will decide Monday whether new evidence warrants a re-examination of the convictions of Erik and Lyle Menendez in the shotgun murders of their parents in their Beverly Hills home more than 30 years ago. The brothers were found guilty of murdering Jose and Kitty Menendez in 1989 and sentenced to life in prison without parole. While their defense attorneys argued at trial that they had been sexually abused by their father, prosecutors denied that and accused them of killing their parents for money. In the years that followed, they repeatedly appealed their convictions without success.
Unless you were abused as a kid and had the constant stress of that, you have no idea how to judge them and certainly shouldn't be keeping them in prison. It's not just their parents that made them but society. In those days, there were no school psychologists or officials at the school who would help. In fact, if you told someone, you were going to get punished for it so what did we expect to happen? Why do we see abused dogs at the shelter and understand they are biting and so give them love and support to help them but we see abused people and think they deserve more abuse?
Again, they were 18 and 21. They were grown men who knew better and should have moved out and moved on with their lives. But they didn’t want to leave without getting the inheritance money.
Those 20 plus family members you speak of never visited them while they've been incarcerated. They just want a piece of the pie now that they are getting notarity since Netflix.
Sadly, this case has always been political it was in the 1990's when the LA DA's office "needed" a win. In 2024 when it sits on DA Gascon's desk for 18 months and is brought up right before the election. Now newly elected DA Hochman is being interviewed about nothing else and how he is going to be tough on crime. It needs to be about JUSTICE not politics.
If child abuse seriously happened you report it or move out of the home , why stay and continue live in luxury and continue living off your parents estate don't believe it
It's a slippery slope. So many violent criminals have faced unspeakable abuse. Do we renegotiate all their sentences when abuse wasn't part of their defense? There are so many innocent people behind bars; can't we focus on them instead?
@@Sarappreciates A huge aspect of why many innocent people are behind bars is because those with power don’t hold space for nuance. The Menendez Brother fall under this even if they are not innocent.
@@arianna5270 Most of the violent criminals in prisons have backgrounds of being abused. I don't think there's much nuance to double homicide in which the victim is shot from BEHIND like Jose Menendez. You can't "self defense" from behind the person you say is a danger to you. It's not self defense if they're fleeing from you. Jose was shot in the back of his head. They unloaded 6 shots into him. He wasn't just murdered; he was annihilated. The cycle of abuse has deeply impacted these brothers. Their abuse made them monsters. I don't trust them to have their own families they won't abuse. I don't trust them to remain violence free. I'm glad you're convinced of their "nuance," but I'm not. They killed for money just as likely as for abuse.
@ Whether you have the capacity to appreciate the nuance or not… it’s there. They deserve to live a life outside of incarceration and they have proven as much with their success.
Well an ivestigating documentary, a good one, can give attention to parts that has been ignored/hidden/overlooked before. I mean Britney Spears is out of her forced conservatorship because of documentaries. The DA wouldn’t have asked for a resentecing without good reasons.
That makes the assumption that they were capable of thinking and emotional reasoning as kids who grew up in hones free from fear and abuse. They werent. They lived in survival mode for years and no one can say how someone should react or behave if they havent lived through the same years of child rape by a person who was supposed to protect them.
UA-cam has thousands (millions?) of a variety of videos from which to choose. A LOT of them are pro-tRump. If you don't like these "Old Cows", then why oh why would you click on it to watch. If it's the topic of the Menendez brothers, well, there are a LOT of YT videos concerning them as well.
At 53 and 56, Erik and Lyle Menendez are making a new bid for freedom. Their lawyers filed a habeas corpus petition - a request for a court to examine whether someone is being lawfully detained - in May 2023, asking a judge to consider new evidence of their father’s sexual abuse.
The brothers need to remain behind bars. They were given mercy and grace by being allowed to live behind bars instead of facing the death penalty for murdering two people. Being an alleged victim of sexual assault does not give you the right to murder anyone. They were grown enough to know that they needed to cover up their crime. That means they had sense enough to go down to the police station and file a report against their parents and let the justice system handle it. I'm sure they'll probably end up getting out though because it seems as though they have a lot of sympathizers including the View panel, which is no surprise. It's the trend in our country. Trump just got off and Jussie Smollett 😐
Send them home. I watched the whole trial and they were abused their whole lives. I don't in any way condone what they did but they have served enough time.

Or .....or....here me out, they wouldn't get the inheritance with her still alive so they (metaphorically) killed two birds with one stone.
Never a shred of evidence they were sexually graped 🍇
She also abused them. And assisted covering up for the father, who was abusing multiple boys not just his sons.
Whoopi is completely right. If they go down this road, there are a whole lot of folks who would want or need their cases reviewed for a whole lot of reasons. I love how the hosts are very open on this topic
I wrote this poem through the Father. I walk the talk every day. I have been persecuted and given an existential death sentence from friends and family. I am One voice, I've got one word, love one another. I was born on Oct 2, coincidentally, like Gandhi, who adopted the term "civil disobedience" to describe his strategy of non-violently refusing to cooperate with injustice, but he preferred the Sanskrit word satyagraha (devotion to truth).
"Truth" What is truth? God, Love, Rape, personal identity, miracle birth, ancestral condition, hurts your reality, worth, who's paternity, place of origination, faith, a cradle of civilization, fate, a spiritual connection?
Self-evidence and science. It all leads to oneness. The path is for balance among us, with sprits to guide us towards justice. Mother nurture, father provider, brother protect her, and sister care further down river.
Seeking, forgiving, timing, coming, living, loving, laughing, healing, helping, not forgetting, giving, breathing, growing and letting be the seeds we are sowing.
Lying frozen in the snow, the ice will melt, and it will show, the reason is not to know, before it's time to go, make peace, let water flow, the season is for love to grow.
True or false, multiple choice, pick your poison, I don't lie, is the first untruth for blaming. Honestly mistaking, the love they have been raping. Only One place to find it, open your heart, the truth's inside it. By Edward Campagnola Pen name One
I have never agreed with Whoopi as much as I do. They would NEVER have gotten this far if it was not for celebrities using their privilege to help out two people who were much more privleged to others in the same situation.
Kim Kardashian is a trouble maker.
Having seen this case unfold in real time, I'm not as sympathetic to their cause.
Also as a side note, their looks back when they were younger play apart in sympathy which is gross that beauty privilege can help others in court compared to others.
Are we looking at the same people? They weren't attractive lmao. If anything I felt sorry for them bc they were clearly dorky young men who were taunted for their looks by their own father.
I agree, not good looking men
The system failed the Melendez bros.
Sara is not listening and just cut in to talk. Her vice is like nails down a chalkboard.
She is one of the most logical analysts out there. She is just throwing in points that compare with the next point of her cohosts. They only get so much time to talk between each before the others chime in. It all makes sense.

@@jthomasmack They mentioned it once. And then Whoopi was like Oh no, that's my friend, all of the people on the list are my buddies, so, off topic.
Ammmmm theyve literally done that already..and diddy has many cases not one..
@@oscarfun100 It has been mentioned twice, also you can't just talk out of nowhere about something if there is no new evidence or something solid, they can get in big trouble. That is why some traditional media still have importance, because they are not doing videos about every single thing, but they do about what is true and solid.
I believe if they do this, this opens up a precedence. Whoopi is right.
what an odd thing to say whoopi, you dont want other stories like this to come out??? wtf
Sunny loves to call Trump a convicted felon. Maybe this will make her rethink that phrase.
Who wouldn't forget what Whoopi said about Menendez brothers after winning an Oscar
What was that???
They’re murderers who killed their parents for an inheritance. Doesn’t matter how abused they were they could’ve left their home as soon as they each turned 18 but chose to stay because they still wanted to live their luxurious lifestyle. The abuse is irrelevant in this case no one should have any sympathy for them.
Hey, I was thinking that you never experience being sympathetic towards people, they didn’t killed their parents just for an inheritance, they did it because of the abuse they we’re scared 😡 and you really came here without knowing about them, you believed all the lies that that media showed to you 🤮🤮🤮you’re so biased what kind of a person are you? you’re so gross 🤢
Please shut up they were abused!! They didn't killed their parents for inheritance
The parents were sick!!
How tf did they murder for the inheritance if they were told they were already disinherited before the murders???
@ Insurance, and that “disinheritance” was not on paper.
This is my opinion..The evidence they have isn’t anything new. Because they were “men”, and it wasn’t common for “men” to go through this like women, it was ignored. It was a different time then than it is today where men are speaking out about being violated. I hope they get out.
Whoopi: "We need the Justice System to ne our allies."
Anna: "Well girl good luck with that."
Whoopi (sings) "Dream Can I?"
the commander in chief elect is an abuser. its so disheartening.
Ok Sarah, if you think they are safe to have back on the street, invite them to your house.
Shiiii I would
I would. Anytime!
With open arms I would
Actually, people would! Even COs said they would be ok with the brothers watching their kids. Some would want them as neighbors.
MONEY talks. If you get a public pretender they do the very least. Your going to jail. But someone with the exact same charges that has money and can't afford a great lawyer is getting off
Good point from Whoopie.
If any of you experience with the borthers experience would you have the same opinion put yourself in their shoes what would you do.?
You also don’t know them personally and the parent don’t get to fight back because they were brutally murdered
Everything matters, if you want the full truth to administer real justice.
I dont get the "if the5yre freed we have to examine other cases" argument. Good! Examine then
Everything Sunny stated was totally false.
The Mendez brothers are fully rehabilitated and free. Two weeks later they go on a killing spree.
Why do the brothers giving that creepy smile?
They still murdered there parents regardless just my opinion.

There are also many more factors to consider. It’s not cut and dry
@@tassymccormick
No it's cut n dry...which is why you can't give any solid examples
Kudos for calling it like it is. It is rape, not molestation.
The problem is in the second trial, a lot of evidence was not aloud to come in.
Those 20 plus family members you speak of never visited them while they've been incarcerated. They just want a piece of the pie now that they are getting notarity since Netflix.
Absolutely! I was thinking the same thing! There is something in it (money) for the relatives, and other family people
Innocent people should be freed. I only wish Sunny’s family would have freed their slaves before being forced to by law.
If child abuse seriously happened you report it or move out of the home , why stay and continue live in luxury and continue living off your parents estate don't believe it
Free the boys. They served their time.
They aren’t boys anymore Sunny
Surprised Sonny didn’t say that it was because of misogyny
Get a life.
Don't forget racism, too!
They killed their mama, leave them where they are
But they weren’t children at the time of the murders
Please free them. Their parents have been dead for years now. It’s over and no one cares anymore.
How does anyway prove they've been sexually molested?
I wonder if Sunny thinks OJ was innocent.
Can Sara be more annoying 🙄
Sara being a Trump voter lives rent free in my mind
It's a slippery slope. So many violent criminals have faced unspeakable abuse. Do we renegotiate all their sentences when abuse wasn't part of their defense? There are so many innocent people behind bars; can't we focus on them instead?
But what makes somebody innocent? We can do both and.
@@arianna5270 I like to think "innocent" doesn't include double homicide.
Just like making a murder, you guys watch one documentary and think you solved the case 😂
Well an ivestigating documentary, a good one, can give attention to parts that has been ignored/hidden/overlooked before. I mean Britney Spears is out of her forced conservatorship because of documentaries. The DA wouldn’t have asked for a resentecing without good reasons.

Bingo!
They did run away you are stupid
They served their time.
They where adults when they did this , they should of left home , this has happened to others and they didn’t kill
That makes the assumption that they were capable of thinking and emotional reasoning as kids who grew up in hones free from fear and abuse. They werent. They lived in survival mode for years and no one can say how someone should react or behave if they havent lived through the same years of child rape by a person who was supposed to protect them.
Whoopi is so obnoxious and thinks she owns the view! No doubt she thinks her opinion is supreme along with Sunny!

ALL THIS WOMEN ARE EXPERTS NOW?
They should be freed
At 53 and 56, Erik and Lyle Menendez are making a new bid for freedom. Their lawyers filed a habeas corpus petition - a request for a court to examine whether someone is being lawfully detained - in May 2023, asking a judge to consider new evidence of their father’s sexual abuse.
Typical horrid American legal system...
*Leave them in there. Wookie aka Craig Mac.*
THEY SERVED THEIR TIME. LET THEM OUT.
