Larenze tate did a wonderful job as O-Dogg, but spice 1 as O-Dogg would have been legendary. Especially with Pac as shareef and MC Eiht was already in it as A-Wax.... that would have been an all star line up with those 3.
Spice 1 is a Legend I remember that '187' proof video as a kid and....The first song i heard from him was 'Welcome to the Ghetto' and 'trigga got no heart' ....Being from New Orleans all we listened too was West Coast music (well majority of us) before we started our own sound but this guy Too Short, D.O.C, Dr.Dre & NWA...Scarface & the Ghetto Boyz influenced us heavy in the early 90's...
Agreed, "give a G a gat" and "face of a desperate man" good stuff. His follow up 1990- sick was great too. My diskman always had a spice 1 CD in it at school in the 90's. I grew up in North Carolina and not many people knew about him.
Spice gave one of the best radio versions of a song ever in Hip Hop. I rather listen to Trigga Gots No Heart over the regular one. The skill to have such a hard clean version is talent.
for some reason i like "the trigger gots no heart" better then "a nigga gots no heart". from the title and the hook alone. the trigger gots no heart sounds more philosophical, while "a nigga gots now heart" sounds kind of bland

I really enjoyed this video with Spice 1, a real and cool guy. I esp. liked him talking abour Tupac. Yes, that was a set up with Tupac, at that studio in NYC, by Sean Combs, esp. and Biggie, "Who shot you", literally bragging about it, in that song, afterwards. I guess they felt safe, and protected thinking Tupac was tucked away, in jail, for a long time. But then entered Shug Knight, who got him out, and history was made when Tupac came out with, "Hit Em Up", that sounded like a bomb. No need to scratch your head about were they involved, in that setup. Like Spice 1 said there are some real haters, in the world.
