- NOTE: My Volume level has now been repaired in upcoming videos! A 1987 Coleman 508 Single Burner Stove. It was used only twice and put away in storage and, it's in mint shape. 35 years later I bought it, lets lite it up! This is an amazing piece of gear. Excellent for harsh winter days and nights.

Bought my Coleman 508 single burner stove back in 1990, for use on multi day kayaking trips on the West Coast of Vancouver Island and down in Baja California. Worked like a charm. Stored it away in 1994 and just recently found it again two weeks ago. Just for the hell of it, I filled it up with white gas and to my great surprise it fired up with no problem at all. Excellent stove, now an essential part of my camping gear. Good video. Thanx for sharing.
Thanks. You digging out your old 508 stove and it lighting right up is great to hear. You gotta love these small single burner Coleman stoves. Out of all of them made I think the 508 is built to last. Thanks for dropping by and leaving your comment. Have yourself a good week.
All That Time & She's Still Good As New, Thanks Daniel ! ATB T God Bless
I know, crazy. I'm glad it was in the shape it was. I did think I would of had to change a few things, but I was surprised how good it worked. Thanks for dropping by Terry.
I want to thank you for your great video I remember these from my childhood but I had no idea how to use and check it. I just bought one too for 5$ similar situation to your's in storage for 30+ years. Date 12-87
Man what a price for such a gem. I do like these Coleman single burners. They are out there, just have to get lucky.
Beautiful stove brother thanks for sharing
Thank you and your very welcome.
Oh yeah! I love that stove so much, I bought one! 😂😂😂 I don’t think mine was ever used, maybe once to test it! Thanks for sharing brother!
Right on, yeah I do like this 508, I was worried it wouldn't lite, but it worked great. Looking forward in seeing yours burn. Thanks for dropping in Dominic.
I just picked up this same model with the case manual and wrench for $2 at a yard sale. It works great. These are perfect for emergencies
$2 Don't talk to me! LOL You were unbelievably at the right spot at the right time. Yeah these are a great stove, I too like them.
I just bought the same model on a yard sale too!
It cost me $5 and now I’m trying to figure out how to turn it on to check everything is good, I hope I don’t find any leaks, I’m definitely taking it to our next camping day 🤭
@@perlaguajardo398 Excellent buy. There's not much to them, easy to clean. Enjoy your find.
That stove is pretty mint. I have a bunch of lanterns and stoves to dump the gas out of. $29 Canadian for 1 US gallon for Coleman fuel now. One thing about white gas stoves is that they do work in the cold. That runs a lot better than the two-burner I tried out the other day. Another project. Thank you for sharing your latest find with us, Daniel. Stay safe and stay warm
Sean thanks for watching. Yeah it sure was a good find. I totally agree with you about white gas getting very expensive now. Not to long ago it was $18.00 per can. Yesterday I was using one of my Isobutane fuel lanterns, it seam to have no brightness at all, canisters were to cold. Again thanks for dropping by my friend.
@@danielcharbonneau222 One of those hand or foot warmers stuck under your Isobutane fuel tank may perk things up a bit. I have white gas ahead, but you know how it goes, you do not want to use your stock up.
Thank you for the reply. Daniel. Stay safe and stay warm
@@shovelhead8 Thanks, I'll give that a go.
Great run through this stove i liked that you ended it with how you shut it off as well
Thank you. Thanks for dropping by subscribbing to my channel and leaving a comment. Have yourself a good day.

Man Daniel that is sure a pristine and beautiful stove both in looks and function.
I look forward to seeing ya fire up all the different model single burners
Awesome Collection ! 🤩👍🏻❤️🔥🙏🏻🤟🏻
Thanks Donna, it will be interesting to see the outcome. Yes I did get very lucky with this buy, it is mint for sure. Have yourself a beautiful weekend. God Bless!
Hit that like 👍🎈👍
Found one at a sale 5.00 in the case. Not bad..
Patrick your killing me! LOL What a great find my friend. Keep it burning,
FIRST! Watching here from Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador Canada! Coleman is a great brand! Is it kerosine that he burnt??? Nice STOVE and in great shape!
I don't think it was Kerasine, smelt like Old Ski-Doo gas LOL Yes Coleman is a very good brand name for the outdoors man. Thanks for dropping by my friend.
That stove is sweet. They don't make them like the used to.
I know, it's a solid little stove, well back in its days it was considered small. LOL
i bought a 533 only a couple of years ago. In hindsight i would like a 508 cos the 533 is not that controllable
I hear you for sure. I too like the 508, but, man I do like the 400A Peak 1 as well, nice adjustable burner.
@@danielcharbonneau222 400 more compact too if that matters
@@pauls4708 Yes that's for sure.
Can't hear.
My audio has now been repaired
