PMBC Chats with Nikki Erlick about her debut novel The Measure

Last night was our second August author chat and we loved having Nikki Erlick a debut author of THE MEASURE which was an instant NYT bestseller, the Today Show's Read with Jenna book club pick and the Barnes and Noble Discover Pick.
Nikki chatted with group moderator Jennifer Claunch about the book's premise & inspiration, the book serving as an allegory of sorts for Covid, why did she decide on the age of 22 for the boxes, to appear, showing the world through both a micro and macro lens, her experience of being selected for Read with Jenna, her writing process and weaving the multiple story lines together, what she hopes people take away from the story, the tv rights being optioned, what question she would include in a book club guide for discussion, what she is currently working on and so much more!
