Sarah, lovely Sarah …. You are hilarious, such a tonic. Just love your episodes…. Keep laughing, loving and sharing your thoughts, creations and wonderful moments. You bring so much joy and laughter Von in Aus ❤
I love your videos! I live in Maine, USA! My grandfather was born in Franeker, in Friesland! He came to the US in the early 1900s. Terpstra was his surname! I also have started using “my heart jumps!” Thanks for your sweet comments and projects. 🙏
Sorry, this is my second comment. I was just reading some comments about imperfections. I always leave a few lumps in my mashed potatoes. I want there to be no doubt that I put in all the extra effort to make them from scratch. Little imperfections accomplish that, therefore, I think they’re perfect.
Your Little Miss Perfect would be proud of you,Sarah.Genius idea to trick your mind with those potholders and end up with a matching set.👌👏👏👏🤭....but you'll never fool me😉❤️👋🐨🌏xx
What a gorgeous dress!...your dress , your hair...everything!...im watching you from Canada and knitting away....you are such a delight....in love with that dress!..thanks for making me smile!
Your husband's cardigan looks really good. A smart man in a smart cardigan. Hope your snow was not too bad. Very cold here in the UK but no snow where we are just 25 miles north of London. 🇬🇧
Even factory-made clothing has checks that don't line up. I know how awkward it can be to put a sweater on and have 3/4 sleeves that have to be pulled down. I can relate to having to keep "Miss Perfect" under control. Your sewing will improve with the doing. Each garment will get better. I have been sewing clothes for myself for over 60 years. I have never had a zipper in a knit fabric (not hand knitted, just cotton jersey, for example) that does not have wavy sections. The zipper tape is non-stretch and the fabric is stretchy, so there is a little incompatibility, through no fault of yours. Your dress and sweater and headband are all lovely!
Such fun knitting while you speak. I loved your cacti. I think you might have meant Root ball?? Your husband’s cardigan made my heart jump. You were so funny making it clear you were not sharing him! Your cardigan looks perfect on you. The color suits you as it is your favorite. I loved your trivets. Looking forward to the finished pot holders.
You did a beautiful job on your dress. Yes, the fabric you chose was not ideal for a beginner because you can see errors (like your hem) but store bought clothes are not nearly as well made as your dress. Take a look at them. They are wonkier! You should be so very proud of yourself!
Hi Sarah! I love the chat about all the head games you play with yourself and your making ,as I can join that club, also! It is most satisfying when we can conquer that negativity and just dive in and see what happens, knowing that it's okay if it doesn't quite work out as hoped. I have had that dragon to slay with my garment sewing and I have put it aside many times, but I really want to do it and go for it now and then. It is amazing how excited and pleased I can get about making and sewing a pocket or finishing a seam so nicely 😂. Baby steps, but still they are proud accomplishments. Great job with all of your FOs and have a great week!
Your Hinterland dress is lovely. I am making a winter weight one in a dark brown corduroy and fully lined with a beautiful print thick cotton. It’s my first one and is a lot of work. Your husband’s zipper cardigan is amazing. You’re so clever. Where I’m from we say modify not modificate and pot holders for all fibre pot holders. Also men wear shirts 👔 and women wear a blouse. See you next week ❤👏🌸🇦🇺
In the US my family says: for under pots=hot pad or trivet; for the pot handles=pot holders. But I think your descriptions are so much more charming❤ Thanks for another entertaining podcast.
You did such a good job on your husband’s cardigan Sarah! It looks so professional, and he looks so good wearing it. You have every right to be proud. 🤎🤎🤎 Pots and Pans, I use both words. 😅
Oh Sarah the love you show for both your husband and craft shines through....you are a breath of fresh air and look forward to your podcasts every week x
Your husband's cardigan looks so lovely. You did an amazing job. Also, I am so inspired by you and your gingham hinterland dress. My too have a difficult relationship with my sewing machine. Maybe one day I will get the courage to just do it!
Wow, dearest Sarah, your dress looks wonderful! And the cardigan for your husband. I’m inspired! 💕I’ve been dragging my feet anticipating starting the sweater for my partner; he’s so big, what if it doesn’t fit or he doesn’t like it, what if I run out of yarn, what if, what if. Just do it, janet, just begin. The only perfect job is the one I don’t do. 😉
Your positive attitude about mistakes has made me modify my sewing of the bottom of a tote bag which was not lining up. It will be fine. My Miss Perfect accepts it.❤
I just LOVE your husband's sweater! Perfect job! I love how you are protective of your husband and children...I am the same way! Your dress is perfect, also. I have the same relationship with my sewing machine...so I relate! You explained the relationship of heart, head and hands so great! Love to you...❤
Hello from Australia! I just found your you tube videos and really love your style and manner. I will be going back through to earlier ones. Your English is absolutely fine. 😊
Oh my gosh, Sarah, you are adorable! Thank you for making me laugh. I watch this while knitting and drinking my coffee. I get a lot more knitting done this way. Have a wonderful week!
Love your husbands sweater He’s a lucky man Keep bringing us joy I’m signing up for pattern if I can find it Don’t sweat the small stuff only G-d is perfect ❤
I got that bundle of patterns for the outdoors, I’m going to knit myself the cardigan and it’ll be way warmer than any fleece I own, I’d be keen to see which yarn you choose too. Think I’ll buy the zip first and knit the cardigan to fit! Jess
I love your podcast so much and your husband’s finished cardigan is perfection! Thank you so much for sharing such beautiful projects, you are inspirational😊
Your husband’s cardigan is very nice! Last year I was knitting a cardigan and I wanted to put in a zipper instead of a button band. I decided to make an I-cord edge and then I put in the zipper by hand. It does have a little wave, but overall I am very pleased.
From a longtime sewist, your dress is incredible, I can't believe it was your first garment! keep it up- sewing is nothing more than many small steps. It is interesting how our brains work. I make my own clothes, I quilt, I even made my wedding dress, and yet knitting still boggles my mind after years and years of picking away at it! *I must add, all the "mistakes" you perceive are not going to be noticed by anyone! So excited to hear you will keep sewing!
Sarah, the cardigan you made for your husband is spectacular! Looks professionally made on a machine! Good job! I, too, have a strange relationship with my sewing machine! I can generally make anything with my hands. But using the machine made me crazy and my hands refused to do anything right! I finally gave my sewing machine away. It was much happier and SO WAS I!! ❤️❤️⛄️❄️
Oh Sarah, that zipper cardigan looks just like an expensive store-bought one. The fit is just perfect on your husband. Probably he's already aware, that the more he wears the garment, the softer the wool becomes. It's surprising how quickly this happens, maybe after 3-4 wears!
Wow, the cardigan you made for your husband is gorgeous! Looks like it came from a high end store but there’s love in every stitch and fits him like a glove! 😍
I am a wooly layer, too. I have my crocheted alpaca cardigan on today. It is -5 c today with snow tonight. I learn more from my mistakes. I like comfortable dresses like your Hinterland dress because I am always working in the house and with my rescued cats. I also like to wear my cardigans. 😊
Sarah, my husband is as picky as your husband is. 🧐 He is very knitworthy for socks, but NOT for garments. I don’t knit my husband any sweaters, ever. But I will knit him all of the socks he wants. 😂😂 The zipper cardigan looks beautiful!
The dress YOU MADE is gorgeous!!! With some determination and will power…you can do it and you did!!! You should be extremely proud of yourself!!! I’m proud of you. You’ve set an example for so many of us that are watching this video…JUST DO IT…it’s ok if it’s not perfect. It gives your dress character and adds your unique style!!! The sweater you made for your husband is amazing!!! It fits well and he is very proud to wear it!!! Now that is what you call very heart jumping 💓💓💓!!! You have been very busy…love the potholders you made!!! Stay safe and be blessed ❤
Your dress is beautiful! Also your husband’s sweater is amazing! I too like top down sweaters. One time I made a bottom up and it was too big and you don’t know until it’s too late.
Sarah, thank you I needed to hear about your miss perfect today. Mine miss perfect is driving me crazy this morning. I’m trying to figure out my next pattern to do with some raw silk yarn or perhaps maybe I’ll work with some linen anyway thank you so much for your podcasts I needed to hear this today.
The cardigan for your husband turned out just gorgeous! The fit looks perfect! I am knitting a Gansey blanket for my husband and every time I set it down he says “is it done yet” (teasingly of course). I wish I could join your Patreon but I just can’t. Thank you, Sarah. 🌸🌻 PS, your dress is so pretty.
Hi Sarah! You do such lovely work and I love listening to your podcast :) I am trying to knit the Felix Cardigan in a worsted weight yarn. I noticed you used smaller needles, (actually 3 needles )than the US size 10 needle. Can you explain where you used each one please. I am dreaming of making this.I love the fit of yours and I am also a size small. Thank you !
Sarah, lovely Sarah …. You are hilarious, such a tonic. Just love your episodes…. Keep laughing, loving and sharing your thoughts, creations and wonderful moments. You bring so much joy and laughter

Ah, the cardigan is just so handsome Sarah. Im sure your filled with pride when you see hubby walk out the door to go to the office wearing it ❤

The Cardigan for your husband is fantastic, it fits him well too! Thank you for a good episode!
I love your hinterland dress…it’s perfect. The husbands sweater is wonderful.
Love all your makes! If you made granny square potholders and then felted them a little, the holes would fill in!
Would love to see a picture of you and your family in your hand knits😊

Very nice cardigan, god work 😍🧶

lol a bit of Sarah sauce 😅
I love the cardigan you made for your husband. You did such a great job. How can I subscribe to your other podcast?
Finicky
Your husband could be ‘fussy’😂😂
Your husband can be very “persnickety” 😂 so can mine ❤
When your husband has a look of doubt in his eyes, is it that he can be fickle? or particular? fussy? The sweater is gorgeous!!
