+Don Royal just try to aim for mobs that are yellow to u in level. Any higher, spells can miss and take extra hits, and lower and too little xp. The main goal is to find a route u can slowly follow that has mobs that progressively get higher in level, similar to my root from Barnes to ashenvale to stonetalon mountains. Or for alliance I recommend souther west fall to dusk wood to stv. Hope this helps!! :)

only suggestion I have for the legion leveling, start in the Valsharah region, because the 800 chest that the one quest line rewards doesnt require any dungeons, and gives you a decent piece of gear to finish off leveling with. I ususally have this chest piece by lvl 101.
Yup. If you can afford to upgrade them, the xp bonus is still totally worth it. My buddy outran me by 4 levels doing the same content until I finally decided to drop the gold to at least upgrade the xp looms.
I think one thing you may have forgotten to mention is during 90-100, in WoD, there is another way to level. Every time I level an alt, I simply do all the bonus objectives in each zone while skipping everything else. It's super fast, especially if you would have flying (Which I don't lol). Worth checking out if you haven't tried it. Cheers!

indeed a very comprehensive and informative leveling guide videos. I will try it out on my new alts soon. I was lvling my panda monk yesterday, pretty sure looting treasure on the Broken isles still give experience (still have rested exp bonus, 1 treasure roughly equals to 1 quest complete exp). for WOD 90-100 lvling, if u can get the flask from garrison quest or AH, 3 flasks and 3 zones of treasure looting which takes around 45mins. All my 5 alts lvl from 90-100 this way. Great video, keep it up!
Now in legion once you're 100 you can just wait until you see an invasion is up in one of the legion zones, hop on your alt that you're leveling, and it gives you almost a whole level for doing the invasion quests. Takes like 15 minutes.

I have not put your methods to the test, as I am still watching. I wanted to say that so far I am thrilled and looking forward to using your experience for my own gain!! Now being 2018, I'm sure some things I will have to adjust! Here is the down side, listen, I know adds and all that help you gain an income. But please loosen up.. Seriously I had 3 adds within 10 mins of your video.. I leave the blocker off my computer, truly, as my personal contribution to all of you who make an income off youtube vids. Just don't go so far like so many others. I say this to you alone, because I don't often feel like continuing a video after a couple pointless adds ruin my experience. So you alone are the sole person to receive feedback on this point. So many people are trash because they get greedy. IIF you have control over the adds, at least space them out better?
Very good guide! Only thing I'd say is that you always want to do val'sharah zone first since its one of the shorter zone and it rewards you with an 800 ilvl item at the end without needing to do a dg. Also the conslegion addon makes leveling in the broken isle very quick.
Great guide man. But i got a few improvements for your guide. When you hit 92 go to Gogrond. Finish all the quests but dont turn them in, also do the rare mobs where you get the quest items and do the bonus zones but leave 1 mob do finish. Then use the 2 exp potions an turn everything in. I did this 2 times and got from 92-100 in about 2-2.5 hours hours depending on class. If you hit 100 you have to download ConsLegion. It's an amazing leveling addon and i finished legion in 6-8 hours if i remember correctly.

Awesome guide, only thing I would change is at level 55ish, you can spam queue one of the black rock dungeons and you jump down right away and can pull both bosses for the whole dungeon in less than 2 minutes and you get the huge bonus xp super fast
Great guide the only thing i would change is if you have WOD Flying then skip what you said about treasures and just do bonus areas in each of the zones. This is the best way to level in WOD. It's even better if you can get your hands on like 2 elixirs of rapid mind and use it with the xp potion. I would suggest flying around all the zones to prefind the bonus quest hubs. I can get from 90-100 in about 30-45 minutes doing this. Also I would do the same in Legion because those areas provide huge amounts of xp buy just completing them. Though I will note that the potion and elixir do not work over lvl 100.
Getting the addon conslegion from curse will make legion questing 10x faster. It tells you exactly what to do and even gives you a handy arrow pointing to it
this is a really useful video. its so easy to burn out in legion levelling alts. I'm always trying to find new and different ways to make it not as boring lol
For 1 - 15, it may be worth mentioning that when you play a Mage and choose Frost, with full Heirloom and enchants you can literally 1 to 2 shot mobs your level with regular Ice Lances. At that point it may be worth dropping quests and grinding those remaining 5 levels.
Cool video just a couple of notes 48-58 spam detention block, once you get locked out, log out and log in after 1 hour 90-92 do every bonus objective in your starting area and pick up every treasure 92-100 unlock the lumber thingy in gorgrond, kill every "elite rare" that gives you a trophy, do all the bonus objectives while leaving 1 thing in order to complete it, buy a 300% exp increase pot, once you get infront of the quest guy for the trophies, pop the elixir, turn every quest in, complete all the bonus objectives and pick whatever treasure you can find easily gg lvl 100 done 100-110 if you want to get your 3rd relic asap, do the shorter areas first (valsharah azsuna) in order to unlock them faster
+Costa excellent points! I'm not fond of the detention block spam because in multiple cases, ive had groups skip detention to straight towards last boss cuz they random queue'd. Got tired of dealing with random players in that aspect so i prefer the questing method while doing different dungeons. Less reliance on random players is better imo :D and The 300% exp pot can be very expensive or be a pain to farm. I was trying to keep this guide simple with only requirement for spending gold would be on boa's. Without the 300 xp pots, the exp gain in spires of arak with the home away from home buff and garrison xp buff gives really good xp per hour while having hardly no travel time. I don't no about doing asuna and Val Sharah first, if it would be faster to get relic. In the end u still have to do all 4 zones. I mean u get the 800 ilvl items quicker I suppose. If using exp pots, I do like the gorgrond idea, never tried that! Thank you for the detailed reply!! :)
Yea np, I've done the gorgrond thingy on 2 of my recent characters and it worked fine. If you have a friend that can kill the rares for you its even better. Price for the elixir is like 40k on most realms I believe, if you have plenty of gold it is worth getting it, and if not you can get one easily in xmas days with the event up, even prices drop lower then. As for the detention block spam, I just have a macro that explains briefly: dont get any quest, click on the mole machine to your right and click the first option "just pass the grim guzzler" and fall down. Plus, if you are a tank in those dungs you know what to do. And about the neck enchant I find the hidden satyr enchant to be better, the bolt procs often and it does significant damage. love this vid, really great lvling guide, only thing I noticed you missed is the detention block dungeon grind from 49 or so to 58, minus the instance lockout you can easily get 5 or 6 lvls before lockout it's super efficient, look it up if you don't know what it is. keep up the vids tho ur great!
Thank you! The only thing i dont like about detention block grinding is it relies on getting PuG members who will join you in the that grind. Often I get queued with people who are in Random queue instead of specific queue for detention block, and they end up wanting to clear all the way up to last boss. I have have gotten unlucky but this happened a lot to me. Now assuming you get cooperative teammates, this would absolutely be amazing for lvling in that bracket. I chose not to include just because it has some RNG aspect to it in a way
Jburtonsemo oh yeah definitely true, now that you mention it that does happen alot, I find that leveling a tank I can get randoms to follow me, for some reason they think a tank knows best no matter what XD
Throne of the Tides dungeon does give a quest (at least, on Horde side I know this). I didn't do Vashj'ir, yet the questgiver is behind where everyone spawns in (and is kinda off screen, but still on the minimap).
there is a method of lvling fast in 48-58 where u can q to blackrock depths take the drill to the grimm guzzler jump down and kill the two bosses and then repeat it gives out solid xp and is a thing since wod

First of all, thanks for your effort! It made me wanna level one like this as a side project after so much time. I'd like to add that as a horde and hunter/lock/prot-pala you can solo Ragefire from level 14 or so. A sole run will get you to 18. You then do another solo for the quest to get to 20+. I have used this solo dungeon thing some months ago (with proper class for it) and got to 50 really fast. But I think your way is faster. (continuing below) I find the most boring moments, WotLK (you have to reach 80 not 78) and the introductory quests of WoD. These were terrible. If you are rich you can use buy the XP potions that stack with the garrison ones and gather the treasures. We all know it, it is expensive and maybe not much worth it. As the other guy said, the BRD trick from 47-55 is really good but you need a party that knows what to do to avoid wipes. I have one question. You say that it is best to avoid doing an instance for a second time. But you get bonus XP when you do a random dungeon from finder. And it is substantial. Does questing outpaces this bonus? And another question. Does anyone know a really good place for dot class as horde for 1-15? Murlocs at crystal lake is perfect. Any equivalent for... the proper faction? :P
Overall an excellent guide. I would say, if you have WOD flying and can afford the XP Elixirs, not just the pot, you can go around and do all the bonus areas and just leave one thing to kill or find. Whatever. Then pop the Elixir and run around and finish the bonus areas.I leveled from 93 to 100 in about 30 minutes doing that. And also, the mod ConsLegion will get you through the Legion Zones the fastest way.
Just a tip in Legion as of 7.3, do the invasions they give a huge amount of xp. That's how I am leveling my alts just by doing these invasion quests as they spawn more often now.
Just wanted to point something. In legion, u should start always at valshara, at the end u will get an 800ilvl chest piece, boosting your stats and quest rewards ilvl a lot. And is also the smaller zone and really fast to do
Thing about Draenor, for those of us without flying, Gorgrond bonus scenarios/areas? So good. Treasures, some quests that deal with the bonus areas and bam. I always head there at 92, then spires of arakk
if you want to get to 110 the fastest possible, get conslegion, take azuna and valsharah as your first starting areas and skip to the next zone after completing enough quests to unlock the dung quest. these two zones are more efficient than the remaining zones.
...small addition for WoD, if you get Inn there will be daily dungeon quests which will give you a lot of exp, so WoD dungeons are worth doing, but only if you have that daily quest.
+slaven božić that is an interesting point. Takes a little bit till u can get the inn but if u have to take a break from wod questing giving time for the inn to complete that could really be worth it, I didn't think about that. Thank you for sharing!! :)
Nice guide. Cool thing about Legion is that all the zones are fun and with Legion flying it's ridiculously fast to level. The fastest zone by far is Val'shara. Not a whole lof of quests there and the chain to get the Tears of Elune is extremely short. Stormheim has the longest quest line, then High Mountain and Azsuna.
Just an advice or 2 from me: on lvl 100, especially on a character that stayed long on lvl 100 (rested exp) it is worth to pick treasures in Tanaan Jungle (if they were not picked up before). This method gives you level 101 in like 15-20 minutes. Also, there is a cool addon - ConsLegion which helps with questing route, I leveled my char fast and if I remember correctly I had to only clear not even full 3 zones. Apart from that, this is a really nice tutorial, good job :D @edit: ohh and also I forgot, it might also be a good idea (requiring some investment - elixir of the rapid mind), to clear draenor bonus objectives leaving 1 item or 1 monster left to be killed on each, and then popping up the potion and finishing them all. If you plan your route correctly and have flying you might be able to clear several of them in those 15 minutes which will net you a lot of exp with 300% multiplier :P

I have actually used ConsLegion before, I personally was not impressed with it, all it does really is follow the main story line in each questing zone, which is pretty simple to do without it, but many people have recommended that addon in the comments as well so I'm not saying its a bad addon, just not my preference :D On the elixir i chose not to include it in the guide because on many servers they can be fairly expensive, I was trying to keep the initial gold investment to just be on BoA gear, but you are absolutely correct!! Thank you for sharing all this! :D
so I found a spot by accident while leveling up a alt with full heirlooms and a high aoe dps char. At level 70 I would head to front of icc there is a huge army, fly to the back of it where there is no more elites and there will be forgotten hero they spawn in groups of 7-10. on a fury warrior I was able to aoe them all down in 5 seconds at level 70 ( full chants and heirloom gear). at 70 its like 800 exp per kill and it goes down to about 600ish at 79. because of the spawn rate and how fast I was able to kill them I was gaining a level every 15 mins adding about 2 min for each time I leveled up . by far the quickest way to level from 70-80 I have ever seen
IKucKie to be fair at the time I was on afury warrior leveling and I was doing a crazy amount of aoe dps. I don't remember how much but I would always follow 60-70 % of the damage in dungeons. might not work for all classes.
Draenor can be done in 1h with help, do all bonus objectives in shadow valley apart killing one mob with help of friend then pop elixir of Rapid mind then go gorgond, talador, spires and ngrand, solo you need 3h if you can fly
This is a great guide :) I personally won't use it because I have my way of leveling but this is great for newbies and people that would like to level more alts
While searing gorge and blasted lands are decent level spots, a much faster way from 47 to 58 is to do queue for Blackrock Depths, quickly completing the detention block over and over. Zone in, click mole tunneler, choose top option, turn around drop down, kill 2 bosses right next to you which complete dungeon quest, re-queue with group, rinse repeat. Took me 44 minutes to get the 11 levels with just heirloom gears on and no xp potions, so 4 min / level. Also might note 100-110 can be done currently in about 90 minutes by doing sentinax groups in broken isle until it gets nerfed.
doing blackrock depths over and over requires your random pug group to go along with this. I have had multiple groups who queued as 'random dungeon' and just went straight for last boss. Dealing with less RNG from randoms makes me happier lol but i agree it is MORE exp per hour if the group is cooperative. Also the sentinax lvling i did test 2 days ago. Was running into issues with trying to tag mobs, my server is a high server and tagging mobs was hard almost impossible :( Thank you for the comment!
I'd say when you're in WoD, skip quests, and go knock out bonus objectives, of course go to spires, but the bonus objectives + the 20% bonus xp = about 1/3 bar each, i managed to blow through that expansion in maybe 3 or 4 hours, but i did have flying.

Important things you did not mention: if you are leveling an alt, stop and go get flying on your main so you can fly on your alt. This is a HUGE speed-up. Always do Legion Invasions when they pop... about 3/4 of a level in 15 mins (if you're flying). Skip Bonus Objectives; although they give good xp, they take too long to complete (often requiring you to kill 50-70 mobs that are scaling with your level). Fighter Chow is very useful after level 101 (for non-healing classes) as are having certain pots (esp speed potions); this is expensive of course, but alts have a rich older sibling, so I do this. I learned a bunch from your guide, so THANK YOU for that!
+fixeeg fighter chow is an interesting idea! Didn't think of that. Yeah the legion invasions are awesome exp, they weren't out quit yet. Same for flying achieve. But man leveling sky's with flying is so amazing. Especially in highmountain! Thank you for sharing! :)
+fixeeg the elixirs are absolutely amazing. The main reason I did not include them is because on many servers they are quite expensive. Was hoping too keep the only gold requirement to be spent on BoA gear.
not sure if anyone said it before but elemental force is far the best enchant if u wanna lvl quick 1- 70, been trying it out on almost every class/spec so you should try it out (Y)
The trick of leveling with follower mission it's super nice because if it means that if you don't need to level a character asap, but just randomly, you can basically do 100-110 in a couple weeks without even touch the character XD we should check the exp given from legion invasion, because i heard they'll award you xp!
Throne of tides does have some quests, I played it a few days ago, but it's a really long and confusing dungeon with those portals and might not be worth it, since you might take 20-25 minutes doing it, depending on your team.
Just a quick note for anyone trying to level from 100-110, download "conslegion" from curse, pick any zones you want, you will level to 110 in 3 1/2 zones, its the quickest by far!
When it comes to Legion questing, I'd highly recommend getting the AddOn "ConsLegion". I've used it myself and it's so helpful. It will automatically pick up quests and hand them in for you. If there's multiple reward items you can default it to pick one or just pick yourself. It also gives waypoints for you and takes you on the best path through each zone until you've completed all the quests there.

As a Druid healer my que times were instant though. Dps takes sooooo much longer. Also repeating dungeons is what got me past levels. Speed runs are amazing
In searing gorge, pretty much all of the quests are important. Right at the entrance, there is a dwarf with like 4 quests. Upon completion you get 3-4 more, and these grouping of quests are all near each other. After that the quest has you go to the neutral town up in the northern area of searing gorge where you get another grouping of quests that are all really close to each other. This is why i really like searing gorge, you get many quests, and theres hardly any travel distance! :D
Should go to Ragefire Chasm at level 10. You will have hit level 18-19 in 20-30 minutes. And don't forget to do the petmasters along the way of questing outside dungeons. Heaps of XP from those, and it scales to your level ofc.
btw in legion just lvl doing the invasion while they are up, each wq gives 60-100k xp and are completed almost instantly with wq group finder and if you have flying.
yeah i know your vid predates it just wanted to point it out for other viewers since its just ridiculous, great guide though but i dont know if i can be asked to lvl another toon to 100 without the recruit a friend bonus :p
Another best way to level in legion is doing the invasions. I had a level 101 warlock at he leveled to 103 in like an hour or more just from the experience from the invasions.
beetwen 47-58 brd detention block can be exploited for massive exp as the completion requirement is 2 bosses, and you can complete it within 2 minutes with a competent group.
if you can find a high level to run you through. and don't mind dropping gold, you can level 16 to 30 in 15min in stockade with a rapid mind elixir. I do this every time I level. the dungeon is fast to clear, specially if the carrier is a mage. same thing works for zul'farrak from 38 to almost 50.. same principle.
Nice Video! But I have something to mention: Draenor Dungeons are better than Questing. I did it recently and I quested and while I quested I was searching for Dungeons (like you described for the addons before). And I noticed, that I needed roughly about an hour to get from 90 to 92, then I found a dungeongroup for some dungeons and I got from 92 to 96 in about another hour, the last 2 levels I had to quest because I didn't found anyone for dungeons. So in comparison: in 1 hour you can either make 2 Levels with questing or 4 Levels with dungeons.
+Tw1X I'm not saying your wrong at all. I had a different experience however. While questing (if u have flying) picking up all the hidden treasures (using the handy notes addon) yielded more exp for me than dungeon comparison. Of course there are variables that take place like your groups composition, how skilled your group is, how many afkers u get in your group. But I really do appreciate you sharing your experience! My next character playthrough in draenor I will compare this again. Thank you! :)
Oh...I am sorry, I totally forgot to mention, that I hate draenor even more than you, so I never played draenor, only these 2-3 Levels where I don't get into dungeons and so, I can't fly. :)

i used this video the last week to get a hunter from 40-100. couple comments i would add: i found random dungeon question to have far shorter wait time than specific queues. and i must have got lucky because most of the time i queued into a new one. secondly, dont make the same mistake i did and spend all your garrison resources on the potions before your barracks is built. barracks requires 150 resources and you can't continue without it.

I find that dungeons are much, MUCH faster than doing quests in legion. you get 200k exp per dungeon ) with 45% exp buff looms. That's 200k per 30 mins, 400k per hour, a level per hour and a half. By doing quests between dungeon ques, you could also get the 1-2 dungeon quests. Now a trick to this is to actually keep LFD instead of going to the specific dungeon for the quest. This would give you the bonus dungeon exp+quest exp in the SAME amount of time. I'm 100% sure that you would atleast get that specific dungeon once per 5 random dungeons.
I wont disagree! I re-played through vanilla wow again, and the leveling experience may be harder but I enjoyed it more. But it could be nostalgia playing tricks on my brain.
the fastest way to level in draenor is to complete many bonus zones to 99%, then pop an exp pot, complete them all to 100% ,and enjoy 5-6 levels in less than 15 min. even the small exp pot should be enough to power trough the entire map.
you can get from 90 to 100, using the elixir of rapid mind and killing or looting stuff, then pop the elixir. you get roughly 300k xpac for each bonus objective finished in 15 minutes.
In panda land, treasures are the key as well. I can't tell you the last time I quested here for that reason. Find a buddy that will take you around as well.
Other options but requires a friend and elixir of rapid mind. Cata at level 83 you can go into Tal'Barad and have your friend run you. This will take about 6 runs. If you have a elixir of rapid mind this goes a lot faster. WOD once you're 92 this requires a friend and elixir of rapid mind it is the only way to do this in an hour. Do the bonus objective areas but do not complete them leave like 1 object up for every bonus objective. This is done in gorgond that has leets that you kill that give you a quest after you kill them. So kill leets loot quest do all the leets. The highest I have gotten from doing this was 101 but that was because I had rested xp saved up. Normally I can average 98 to 100 just doing this. That is 92-98/100 in 1 hour. I usually do for Gorgrond is do all the leg work minus the leets depending on my class is do the bonus stuff then I make a friend or my wife come out and we finish it up. So you only waste like 15 minutes of a your friends time.
The Cata trick doesn't require much but a friend but WOD trick requires gold. Either you have a high level character that you can easily spend 10-20k for one or two elixirs depending on how much they are right now my realm 15k per 1 or a friend gives you the gold or the elixirs for it. So Cata is doable if you have a friend 100% of the time the other is only doable if you have the gold to do it.
+Sroofy if u have flying in draenor they are pretty worth doing, but once at 96 spires of arak is a must. I meant to say "do bonus objectives in starting zone and in spires." I don't like the idea of doing them in other zones due to travel time even with flying however.

Yup. If you can afford to upgrade them, the xp bonus is still totally worth it. My buddy outran me by 4 levels doing the same content until I finally decided to drop the gold to at least upgrade the xp looms.

I think one thing you may have forgotten to mention is during 90-100, in WoD, there is another way to level. Every time I level an alt, I simply do all the bonus objectives in each zone while skipping everything else. It's super fast, especially if you would have flying (Which I don't lol). indeed a very comprehensive and informative leveling guide videos. I will try it out on my new alts soon. I was lvling my panda monk yesterday, pretty sure looting treasure on the Broken isles still give experience (still have rested exp bonus, 1 treasure roughly equals to 1 quest complete exp). for WOD 90-100 lvling, if u can get the flask from garrison quest or AH, 3 flasks and 3 zones of treasure looting which takes around 45mins. All my 5 alts lvl from 90-100 this way. Great video, keep it up!

Now in legion once you're 100 you can just wait until you see an invasion is up in one of the legion zones, hop on your alt that you're leveling, and it gives you almost a whole level for doing the invasion quests. Takes like 15 minutes.

I have not put your methods to the test, as I am still watching. I wanted to say that so far I am thrilled and looking forward to using your experience for my own gain!! Now being 2018, I'm sure some things I will have to adjust! Here is the down side, listen, I know adds and all that help you gain an income. But please loosen up.. Seriously I had 3 adds within 10 mins of your video.. I leave the blocker off my computer, truly, as my personal contribution to all of you who make an income off youtube vids. Just don't go so far like so many others. I say this to you alone, because I don't often feel like continuing a video after a couple pointless adds ruin my experience. So you alone are the sole person to receive feedback on this point. So many people are trash because they get greedy. IIF you have control over the adds, at least space them out better?

Very good guide! Only thing I'd say is that you always want to do val'sharah zone first since its one of the shorter zone and it rewards you with an 800 ilvl item at the end without needing to do a dg. Also the conslegion addon makes leveling in the broken isle very quick.

Great guide man. But i got a few improvements for your guide.
When you hit 92 go to Gogrond. Finish all the quests but dont turn them in, also do the rare mobs where you get the quest items and do the bonus zones but leave 1 mob do finish. Then use the 2 exp potions an turn everything in. I did this 2 times and got from 92-100 in about 2-2.5 hours hours depending on class.
If you hit 100 you have to download ConsLegion. It's an amazing leveling addon and i finished legion in 6-8 hours if i remember correctly.
This guide sounds awesome. Leveling has become such a chore in this game but I'm excited to try this on a Priest, like actually excited to level lol Thanks so much.

Awesome guide, only thing I would change is at level 55ish, you can spam queue one of the black rock dungeons and you jump down right away and can pull both bosses for the whole dungeon in less than 2 minutes and you get the huge bonus xp super fast
Great guide the only thing i would change is if you have WOD Flying then skip what you said about treasures and just do bonus areas in each of the zones. This is the best way to level in WOD. It's even better if you can get your hands on like 2 elixirs of rapid mind and use it with the xp potion. I would suggest flying around all the zones to prefind the bonus quest hubs. I can get from 90-100 in about 30-45 minutes doing this. Also I would do the same in Legion because those areas provide huge amounts of xp buy just completing them. Though I will note that the potion and elixir do not work over lvl 100.

Getting the addon conslegion from curse will make legion questing 10x faster. It tells you exactly what to do and even gives you a handy arrow pointing to it
this is a really useful video. its so easy to burn out in legion levelling alts. I'm always trying to find new and different ways to make it not as boring lol
no kidding! 2 hours into legion and im like "...this again...ugh" lol
For 1 - 15, it may be worth mentioning that when you play a Mage and choose Frost, with full Heirloom and enchants you can literally 1 to 2 shot mobs your level with regular Ice Lances.
At that point it may be worth dropping quests and grinding those remaining 5 levels.

Cool video just a couple of notes
48-58 spam detention block, once you get locked out, log out and log in after 1 hour
90-92 do every bonus objective in your starting area and pick up every treasure
92-100 unlock the lumber thingy in gorgrond, kill every "elite rare" that gives you a trophy, do all the bonus objectives while leaving 1 thing in order to complete it, buy a 300% exp increase pot, once you get infront of the quest guy for the trophies, pop the elixir, turn every quest in, complete all the bonus objectives and pick whatever treasure you can find easily gg lvl 100 done
100-110 if you want to get your 3rd relic asap, do the shorter areas first (valsharah azsuna) in order to unlock them faster
+Costa excellent points! I'm not fond of the detention block spam because in multiple cases, ive had groups skip detention to straight towards last boss cuz they random queue'd. Got tired of dealing with random players in that aspect so i prefer the questing method while doing different dungeons. Less reliance on random players is better imo :D and The 300% exp pot can be very expensive or be a pain to farm. I was trying to keep this guide simple with only requirement for spending gold would be on boa's. Without the 300 xp pots, the exp gain in spires of arak with the home away from home buff and garrison xp buff gives really good xp per hour while having hardly no travel time. I don't no about doing asuna and Val Sharah first, if it would be faster to get relic. In the end u still have to do all 4 zones. I mean u get the 800 ilvl items quicker I suppose. If using exp pots, I do like the gorgrond idea, never tried that! Thank you for the detailed reply!! :)
Yea np, I've done the gorgrond thingy on 2 of my recent characters and it worked fine. If you have a friend that can kill the rares for you its even better. Price for the elixir is like 40k on most realms I believe, if you have plenty of gold it is worth getting it, and if not you can get one easily in xmas days with the event up, even prices drop lower then. As for the detention block spam, I just have a macro that explains briefly: dont get any quest, click on the mole machine to your right and click the first option "just pass the grim guzzler" and fall down. Plus, if you are a tank in those dungs you know what to do. And about the neck enchant I find the hidden satyr enchant to be better, the bolt procs often and it does significant damage. love this vid, really great lvling guide, only thing I noticed you missed is the detention block dungeon grind from 49 or so to 58, minus the instance lockout you can easily get 5 or 6 lvls before lockout it's super efficient, look it up if you don't know what it is. keep up the vids tho ur great!
Thank you! The only thing i dont like about detention block grinding is it relies on getting PuG members who will join you in the that grind. Often I get queued with people who are in Random queue instead of specific queue for detention block, and they end up wanting to clear all the way up to last boss. I have have gotten unlucky but this happened a lot to me. Now assuming you get cooperative teammates, this would absolutely be amazing for lvling in that bracket. I chose not to include just because it has some RNG aspect to it in a way
Jburtonsemo oh yeah definitely true, now that you mention it that does happen alot, I find that leveling a tank I can get randoms to follow me, for some reason they think a tank knows best no matter what XD
Throne of the Tides dungeon does give a quest (at least, on Horde side I know this). I didn't do Vashj'ir, yet the questgiver is behind where everyone spawns in (and is kinda off screen, but still on the minimap).

there is a method of lvling fast in 48-58 where u can q to blackrock depths take the drill to the grimm guzzler jump down and kill the two bosses and then repeat it gives out solid xp and is a thing since wod

First of all, thanks for your effort! It made me wanna level one like this as a side project after so much time. I'd like to add that as a horde and hunter/lock/prot-pala you can solo Ragefire from level 14 or so. A sole run will get you to 18. You then do another solo for the quest to get to 20+. I have used this solo dungeon thing some months ago (with proper class for it) and got to 50 really fast. But I think your way is faster. (continuing below)
I find the most boring moments, WotLK (you have to reach 80 not 78) and the introductory quests of WoD. These were terrible. If you are rich you can use buy the XP potions that stack with the garrison ones and gather the treasures. We all know it, it is expensive and maybe not much worth it.
As the other guy said, the BRD trick from 47-55 is really good but you need a party that knows what to do to avoid wipes.
I have one question. You say that it is best to avoid doing an instance for a second time. But you get bonus XP when you do a random dungeon from finder. And it is substantial. Does questing outpaces this bonus? And another question. Does anyone know a really good place for dot class as horde for 1-15? Murlocs at crystal lake is perfect. Any equivalent for... the proper faction? :P
Overall an excellent guide. I would say, if you have WOD flying and can afford the XP Elixirs, not just the pot, you can go around and do all the bonus areas and just leave one thing to kill or find. Whatever. Then pop the Elixir and run around and finish the bonus areas.I leveled from 93 to 100 in about 30 minutes doing that.
And also, the mod ConsLegion will get you through the Legion Zones the fastest way.
Just a tip in Legion as of 7.3, do the invasions they give a huge amount of xp. That's how I am leveling my alts just by doing these invasion quests as they spawn more often now.
Just wanted to point something. In legion, u should start always at valshara, at the end u will get an 800ilvl chest piece, boosting your stats and quest rewards ilvl a lot. And is also the smaller zone and really fast to do
Thing about Draenor, for those of us without flying, Gorgrond bonus scenarios/areas? So good. Treasures, some quests that deal with the bonus areas and bam. I always head there at 92, then spires of arakk
if you want to get to 110 the fastest possible, get conslegion, take azuna and valsharah as your first starting areas and skip to the next zone after completing enough quests to unlock the dung quest. these two zones are more efficient than the remaining zones.
...small addition for WoD, if you get Inn there will be daily dungeon quests which will give you a lot of exp, so WoD dungeons are worth doing, but only if you have that daily quest.

Nice guide. Cool thing about Legion is that all the zones are fun and with Legion flying it's ridiculously fast to level. The fastest zone by far is Val'shara. Not a whole lof of quests there and the chain to get the Tears of Elune is extremely short. Stormheim has the longest quest line, then High Mountain and Azsuna.

Just an advice or 2 from me: on lvl 100, especially on a character that stayed long on lvl 100 (rested exp) it is worth to pick treasures in Tanaan Jungle (if they were not picked up before). This method gives you level 101 in like 15-20 minutes. Also, there is a cool addon - ConsLegion which helps with questing route, I leveled my char fast and if I remember correctly I had to only clear not even full 3 zones.
Apart from that, this is a really nice tutorial, good job :D

ohh and also I forgot, it might also be a good idea (requiring some investment - elixir of the rapid mind), to clear draenor bonus objectives leaving 1 item or 1 monster left to be killed on each, and then popping up the potion and finishing them all. If you plan your route correctly and have flying you might be able to clear several of them in those 15 minutes which will net you a lot of exp with 300% multiplier :P

I have actually used ConsLegion before, I personally was not impressed with it, all it does really is follow the main story line in each questing zone, which is pretty simple to do without it, but many people have recommended that addon in the comments as well so I'm not saying its a bad addon, just not my preference :D On the elixir i chose not to include it in the guide because on many servers they can be fairly expensive, I was trying to keep the initial gold investment to just be on BoA gear, but you are absolutely correct!! so I found a spot by accident while leveling up a alt with full heirlooms and a high aoe dps char. At level 70 I would head to front of icc there is a huge army, fly to the back of it where there is no more elites and there will be forgotten hero they spawn in groups of 7-10. on a fury warrior I was able to aoe them all down in 5 seconds at level 70 ( full chants and heirloom gear). at 70 its like 800 exp per kill and it goes down to about 600ish at 79. because of the spawn rate and how fast I was able to kill them I was gaining a level every 15 mins adding about 2 min for each time I leveled up . by far the quickest way to level from 70-80 I have ever seen

Maybe its because I dont do as much aoe like you plus I dont have the rings.
IKucKie to be fair at the time I was on afury warrior leveling and I was doing a crazy amount of aoe dps. I don't remember how much but I would always follow 60-70 % of the damage in dungeons. might not work for all classes.

Draenor can be done in 1h with help, do all bonus objectives in shadow valley apart killing one mob with help of friend then pop elixir of Rapid mind then go gorgond, talador, spires and ngrand, solo you need 3h if you can fly

I personally won't use it because I have my way of leveling but this is great for newbies and people that would like to level more alts
While searing gorge and blasted lands are decent level spots, a much faster way from 47 to 58 is to do queue for Blackrock Depths, quickly completing the detention block over and over. Zone in, click mole tunneler, choose top option, turn around drop down, kill 2 bosses right next to you which complete dungeon quest, re-queue with group, rinse repeat. Took me 44 minutes to get the 11 levels with just heirloom gears on and no xp potions, so 4 min / level. Also might note 100-110 can be done currently in about 90 minutes by doing sentinax groups in broken isle until it gets nerfed.
doing blackrock depths over and over requires your random pug group to go along with this. I have had multiple groups who queued as 'random dungeon' and just went straight for last boss. Dealing with less RNG from randoms makes me happier lol but i agree it is MORE exp per hour if the group is cooperative. Also the sentinax lvling i did test 2 days ago. Was running into issues with trying to tag mobs, my server is a high server and tagging mobs was hard almost impossible :( Thank you for the comment!
I'd say when you're in WoD, skip quests, and go knock out bonus objectives, of course go to spires, but the bonus objectives + the 20% bonus xp = about 1/3 bar each, i managed to blow through that expansion in maybe 3 or 4 hours, but i did have flying.

Important things you did not mention: if you are leveling an alt, stop and go get flying on your main so you can fly on your alt. This is a HUGE speed-up. Always do Legion Invasions when they pop... about 3/4 of a level in 15 mins (if you're flying). Skip Bonus Objectives; although they give good xp, they take too long to complete (often requiring you to kill 50-70 mobs that are scaling with your level). Fighter Chow is very useful after level 101 (for non-healing classes) as are having certain pots (esp speed potions); this is expensive of course, but alts have a rich older sibling, so I do this.

The trick of leveling with follower mission it's super nice because if it means that if you don't need to level a character asap, but just randomly, you can basically do 100-110 in a couple weeks without even touch the character XD
we should check the exp given from legion invasion, because i heard they'll award you xp!

Throne of tides does have some quests, I played it a few days ago, but it's a really long and confusing dungeon with those portals and might not be worth it, since you might take 20-25 minutes doing it, depending on your team.
Just a quick note for anyone trying to level from 100-110, download "conslegion" from curse, pick any zones you want, you will level to 110 in 3 1/2 zones, its the quickest by far!
When it comes to Legion questing, I'd highly recommend getting the AddOn "ConsLegion". I've used it myself and it's so helpful. It will automatically pick up quests and hand them in for you. If there's multiple reward items you can default it to pick one or just pick yourself. It also gives waypoints for you and takes you on the best path through each zone until you've completed all the quests there.
Excellent content. I've leveled tons of alts, and I still managed to learn a few things. The only thing I disagreed with is your choice of High Mountain as worst zone in Legion. Stormheim is by far the worst :-). Keep up the great work. Subscribing.

Well, opinions can be different. I like Highmountain the most > Stormheim > Val sharah > Azsuna.
I would recommend Elemental Force for weapons. Works very well with dot or bleed style damage

As a Druid healer my que times were instant though. Dps takes sooooo much longer. Also repeating dungeons is what got me past levels. Speed runs are amazing

In searing gorge, pretty much all of the quests are important. Right at the entrance, there is a dwarf with like 4 quests. Upon completion you get 3-4 more, and these grouping of quests are all near each other. After that the quest has you go to the neutral town up in the northern area of searing gorge where you get another grouping of quests that are all really close to each other. This is why i really like searing gorge, you get many quests, and theres hardly any travel distance! :D

Should go to Ragefire Chasm at level 10. You will have hit level 18-19 in 20-30 minutes. And don't forget to do the petmasters along the way of questing outside dungeons. Heaps of XP from those, and it scales to your level ofc.

surprised you didn't mention 'Cons legion' addon for legion questing. It guides you through legion zones extremely efficiently.
btw in legion just lvl doing the invasion while they are up, each wq gives 60-100k xp and are completed almost instantly with wq group finder and if you have flying.

Another best way to level in legion is doing the invasions. I had a level 101 warlock at he leveled to 103 in like an hour or more just from the experience from the invasions.

beetwen 47-58 brd detention block can be exploited for massive exp as the completion requirement is 2 bosses, and you can complete it within 2 minutes with a competent group.

if you can find a high level to run you through. and don't mind dropping gold, you can level 16 to 30 in 15min in stockade with a rapid mind elixir. I do this every time I level. the dungeon is fast to clear, specially if the carrier is a mage. same thing works for zul'farrak from 38 to almost 50.. same principle.
Nice Video! But I have something to mention: Draenor Dungeons are better than Questing. I did it recently and I quested and while I quested I was searching for Dungeons (like you described for the addons before). And I noticed, that I needed roughly about an hour to get from 90 to 92, then I found a dungeongroup for some dungeons and I got from 92 to 96 in about another hour, the last 2 levels I had to quest because I didn't found anyone for dungeons.
So in comparison: in 1 hour you can either make 2 Levels with questing or 4 Levels with dungeons.
+Tw1X I'm not saying your wrong at all. I had a different experience however. While questing (if u have flying) picking up all the hidden treasures (using the handy notes addon) yielded more exp for me than dungeon comparison. Of course there are variables that take place like your groups composition, how skilled your group is, how many afkers u get in your group. But I really do appreciate you sharing your experience! My next character playthrough in draenor I will compare this again. Thank you! :)
Oh...I am sorry, I totally forgot to mention, that I hate draenor even more than you, so I never played draenor, only these 2-3 Levels where I don't get into dungeons and so, I can't fly. :)

i used this video the last week to get a hunter from 40-100. couple comments i would add: i found random dungeon question to have far shorter wait time than specific queues. and i must have got lucky because most of the time i queued into a new one. secondly, dont make the same mistake i did and spend all your garrison resources on the potions before your barracks is built. barracks requires 150 resources and you can't continue without it.
Compared to the new leveling this video makes me cry I wish I could experience that fast leveling.

I find that dungeons are much, MUCH faster than doing quests in legion. you get 200k exp per dungeon ) with 45% exp buff looms. That's 200k per 30 mins, 400k per hour, a level per hour and a half. By doing quests between dungeon ques, you could also get the 1-2 dungeon quests.
Now a trick to this is to actually keep LFD instead of going to the specific dungeon for the quest. This would give you the bonus dungeon exp+quest exp in the SAME amount of time. I'm 100% sure that you would atleast get that specific dungeon once per 5 random dungeons.
Very good guide, will help for people that have time. I think that leveling in World of Warcraft needs a complete overhaul its very outdated.
I wont disagree! I re-played through vanilla wow again, and the leveling experience may be harder but I enjoyed it more. But it could be nostalgia playing tricks on my brain.
the fastest way to level in draenor is to complete many bonus zones to 99%, then pop an exp pot, complete them all to 100% ,and enjoy 5-6 levels in less than 15 min. even the small exp pot should be enough to power trough the entire map.
you can get from 90 to 100, using the elixir of rapid mind and killing or looting stuff, then pop the elixir. you get roughly 300k xpac for each bonus objective finished in 15 minutes.

In panda land, treasures are the key as well. I can't tell you the last time I quested here for that reason. Find a buddy that will take you around as well.

Other options but requires a friend and elixir of rapid mind. Cata at level 83 you can go into Tal'Barad and have your friend run you. This will take about 6 runs. If you have a elixir of rapid mind this goes a lot faster. WOD once you're 92 this requires a friend and elixir of rapid mind it is the only way to do this in an hour. Do the bonus objective areas but do not complete them leave like 1 object up for every bonus objective. This is done in gorgond that has leets that you kill that give you a quest after you kill them. So kill leets loot quest do all the leets. The highest I have gotten from doing this was 101 but that was because I had rested xp saved up. Normally I can average 98 to 100 just doing this. That is 92-98/100 in 1 hour. I usually do for Gorgrond is do all the leg work minus the leets depending on my class is do the bonus stuff then I make a friend or my wife come out and we finish it up. So you only waste like 15 minutes of a your friends time.
The Cata trick doesn't require much but a friend but WOD trick requires gold. Either you have a high level character that you can easily spend 10-20k for one or two elixirs depending on how much they are right now my realm 15k per 1 or a friend gives you the gold or the elixirs for it. So Cata is doable if you have a friend 100% of the time the other is only doable if you have the gold to do it.

+Sroofy if u have flying in draenor they are pretty worth doing, but once at 96 spires of arak is a must. I meant to say "do bonus objectives in starting zone and in spires." I don't like the idea of doing them in other zones due to travel time even with flying however.
Also, get any addon, that auto accepts and turns in quests and that sells your junk automatically.
