tbh Camilla’s best album was her debut album that’s why it was big and you could tell it wasn’t forced tbh

Jade is from the UK and Little Mix never really broke the American market so Jade will never get the push that Camila is getting...I love Angel of my Dreams though...giving early lady Gaga

I've seen interviews of Jade, and I think you've been mistaken with the image she had been given in LM. Her having multiple faces like she showed in a new single AOMD doesn't mean she's lost or trying to build an image. She actually recognises herself and her power to be able to shape so easily into those different personas.
Having followed LM and 5H through their times, the big difference is in the maturity and the involvement in their music. I think by the age and the market they were playing on also differs.
LM made it big but wasn't desperate to go to the US and the girls knew what they were bringing to the table and worked on that. The blending of their talents were beyond beautiful. Performances, interviews, concerts, everything was on point and despite being the professionals that they were, they were able to be free to speak their mind.
I always thought the birth of 5H was simply because LM worked too well and exceeded the label's expectations. So they tried it in the US and had younger artists to control them better. In 5H, the only one who understood that soon enough was Ally, because she already had a little experience in the industry. Reason why, even after the breakup, she was the one who had or is having a better run than the other. They were young, and each grew up in their own time and built their own artistry. But they took the time but Camila, like you said and I agree is desperate as her label. They want profit and she just wants to perform and sing at all costs. In the 2000's that could have worked but now people want real artists, not the ones who are pushed just because they have potential.
So in that regard, I think Jade would easily win. It feels like it's her, it feels more natural and authentic.
Individually, I have seen from their debut who they were and it made sense for Perrie, Leigh-Anne, Jade and even Jesy (yeah, I know but her as well). Whereas, for 5H, only Ally and Lauren had it from the beginning, the others were searching.

2:22 you are just flat out lying. Make no mistake, I am not here to defend Camila. However, Camila was and IS dragged through the pits of hell and back for her racist posts. You know who wasn’t though? Shawn Mendes, who you openly admitted to liking. Everything Camila did was racist, evil and horrible, I 100% agree. I can also say that you have NOT shown equal treatment to both Shawn & Camila. Camila HAS talked about her past racist behavior, she did SO much work privately, and publicly, even talked about it in 2022. (This wasn’t a situation of “it was so bad,” it was her trying to learn.) And HOW is that performative?? That’s literally her trying to LEARN. Normani & Camila are friends, you will not change that. (Camila confirmed all of the girls and her were on good terms in 2022.) Finally, why do you feel the need to control/judge on black artists working with her?? That is a whole new level of parasocial.

Well, since you care so much. I dropped Shawn when I remembered he was a Camila apologist and a commentor reminded me his racist past. Which is funny, I referenced his past, in another video of mine. But I think when Shawn had that glow up it shrouded my memories hence the community post. BTW in this video I was mostly talking about the industry's POV of Camila, and they didn't hold her accountable for her past. Also, you might want to look in the mirror about this whole parasocial thing.

@@Popfilia And you have a fair point, Leigh-Anne also talked about how Camila was allowed to perform at the grammys despite her racist past resurfacing. It’s true, however if Camila really didn’t care, why would she respond at all? Cause you’re right, the industry DOESN’T hold her accountable, so if Camila was gonna be somewhat successful regardless (though she’s not now), what would apologizing do other than add attention to it? You’re also right about how my paragraph was a little parasocial-esque, but it’s mostly based off of things the girls themselves have said. (All of them have said they’re on good terms with the other members, and it’s not just Camila who Normani has only responded to after they commented.) I’m not here to defend Camila or say she’s a good person, because ultimately, I do not know her, and I have no idea if she’s truly grown from her mistakes. I guess my question is what WILL be enough to show Camila has grown? If there’s nothing she can do, that’s fine, I think what shocked me more than anything was the shaming of other black artists for interacting with her. Ultimately, Camila is a sinking ship, and I hopped off a while ago, (more specifically after I found out those old leaked text messages were real and her fandom tried to cover it up) I’m glad I did especially considering this era she defended D*ake.

@@melonpeach9723 well I mentioned it in the video. But I think a great place to start is basically, addressing the black community about her past rather than going on mainstream white platforms and subtly alluding to it.

The album itself isn't good quality but for me, it's the lack of identity that is incredibly cringe and so forgettable. Like you say, she's trying so hard and desperately to rebrand herself as this hyper cool bad girl and honestly, is anyone buying it? You can clearly see it's a huge facade of pretensions. Because she was given the most opportunities in the beginning, she's never had to work on her individuality and it doesn't seem like she wanted to and now it's showing. She needs to reevaluate who she is as an artist. Either that or release better pop/mainstream/generic music.

I hate Camilla because she sounds like Minnie Mouse especially when she over sings.
