I had considered a Dell XPS for my laptop refresh this year, and quickly discarded it as an option after a single glance at their website. It's a mess. Razer Blade w/ GTX 1060 for me!
EtrnL_Frost You shouldn't let a bad website keep you away from a great laptop, but I agree the dell site is horrendous. Good luck with that awesome Razer Blade
I ordered this laptop on Dells site (non-US language) and it took me well over an hour to select the product. It is a complete mess, with bad and even out of place translations everywhere. Much of the information is not SKU specific, where in fact it should be. Sadly I was unable to select 32GB DDR4 and a 1GB SSD, which would have been nice. I will get by with 16GB DDR4 and a 512GB SSD, but it does limit the device somewhat and it costs Dell business. The website is in fact so cluttered and useless, I am actually amazed I was able to order anything at all. The marketing folks should not be the ones making, maintaining or even entering the content...they are useless for that purpose. I just hope they do not go out of business due to not being able to sell things online as a result. Maybe a few years after I have my laptop, then its cool, lol.
Late August 2022 here, I can confirm that Dell is truly FUBAR'd. I'm looking through old laptop reviews and every time I even see the Dell or HP logo I go "ahhh hell, it's a Dell." I have to remind myself there are indeed product lines from Dell that may not be complete garbage.
aaaand this is the guy I was thinking of when posting that above, lol it's been 6 years and Dell is basically e-waste now. Thanks Steve and Linus. I wonder what 2027 will have to say to us about the state of Dell then.
I have the XPS 9550 with the 4k touchscreen. This is my third XPS computer and this is by far, the best I ever had. The longer I use it, the more I love it. The 4k screen is Stunning! I thought I would not use the touch screen function a lot but I use it all the time now. Powerful, fast , beautiful!
Everything you said about their false advertising and websites mistakes is 100 % correct. I had awful confusion when ordering mine a couple ow weeks ago.
Watching this back to regain the love I had at the start for my laptop (the one in the video is the exact model I have). It's an absolutely awesome device.
If anyone's still watching this in 2019, look how far laptop technology has come. Look at those thick bezels on the Blade 14 2015. Over the last 4 years, the Blade chassis has improved greatly, but the XPS has remained the same. I own the XPS 15 2019 by the way.

Using this XPS15 for three years was a joyful experience, but the battery life is getting worse, the speaker are the worst actually. but everything else was a yes. Let's go for a macbook pro now.
Thank you for a thoughtful and pretty thorough review. A suggestion: If you think there is even one better device on the market (in the same price range) than what you are reviewing, please consider either including a line at the end of your review or one sentence in the video description.
Linus sounds a little salty because Dell are not sending him review products after the X13 that he left in the rain on purpose before sending it back :D
it would be hilarious if that were true, funny thinkin bro, like it linus would just buy the new dell products himself in that case and say more bad stuff..
Just got mine today! For 1,300 (refurbished)! Can't beat that compared to the specs! 16gb RAM, i-7, infinity display (1080p), 512 gb ssd... oh jeeezzzuusss!!!
That's the type of reviews I want to see more! Particularly the critique of the marketing teams because searching computer stores becomes more and more painful experience.
Connor McReynolds thanks... I will probably try to get my hands on an "old" laptop with a 2nd to 3rd Gen i3/5 and try to get it as well running as possible as a summer holiday project... I really want something to play csgo with my friends on when I'm not at home
I actually have the exact configuration that Linus has here. Had it for the last week and loving it. Dell really seem to have gotten their act together over the last couple of years
YES! Finally someone as pissed off at the Dell configurator website as I am!!!!!!!! I absolutely HATE IT WITH WHITE HOT ANGER! Worse, is the angry feedback I get from clients of my IT biz trying to choose a new system(s). They ask me to sort through the freakin' mess for them and I just don't have the damn time. And if I'm going to do Dell's work, they should freakin' pay me!
I've been considering this laptop for college. Not a fan of Macbooks. Finally! He puts this long overdue video out. He didn't seem to have any major issues with the actual product (Dell's website does suck). I think I'm gonna pull the trigger. Only issue I have is the weight, Dell lists the heaviest version and lightest version, but no in between weight is listed.
I've had 2 xps studio 15 laptops now over the last 6 years and both are still going strong. the earlier models that I have were pretty heavy, but these top of the line (non-alienware) models have served me well.
Yes it did look terrible. But I hated when he complained about the webcam.I have NEVER used any sort of webcam with a PC,and every laptop i had,i didnt even know how to use the webcam.Thats how much I care for it on my device.
Dbrand skins ain't cheap they are good quality, idk what the fuck your on about. Go take a look at there site before you spit out facts that aren't true
I just bought the DELL XPS 15 9550 (shipped: 2016-04-02). It came in perfect condition. I didn't have any of the issues mentioned in some of the youtube videos and in some of the internet discussion forums. SPEC: Quad Core i7-6700HQ, FHD, 84WHr, 16gig ram, pcie-512 SSD. I use the laptop for software development. Easily last most of a day's work roughly 6.5 to 8 hours depending on what I do. I did not have to reinstall Windows 10. I simply updated all the drivers and Windows Updates. I'm tempted to buy an external battery pack because I usually work 10-12 hours a day. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase.
+Edouard Tandjaoui (Dwardo) I did not hear the fan after plugging AC. However, after two weeks of usage I decided to return the laptop. When pressing on a specific corner of the "Backspace" key the key cap would lift itself and pop out. I could have sent the laptop in for repair but what's the point ? I don't see the keyboard surviving 2-3 years of typing so I returned it. I decided to buy the more expensive Thinkpad X1 Yoga instead.
+Edouard Tandjaoui (Dwardo) I think you'd get more value for the money with the Asus Zenbook Pro or a Toshiba laptop. You should check those ones out and they look more reliable than the new DELL XPS infinity edge laptops. But honestly, the Dell keyboard, doesn't it feel really cheap ? At the price you paid, are you confident enough to make that cheap keyboard last ?
Brings up a valid point about the product's webcam and mic, then compares it to a sample that is out of sync. Does anybody even proofwatch these? Get your shit together LMG editing team! You have a solid review, so get this stuff right.
I regret buying the DELL XPS 15 and I do not recommend anyone to buy it because of the amount of issues that it currently accounts for. I'm not sure if it is with my model only, but if anyone else has the same issues as me, please reply to this comment about the situation. The model I currently own has a 4K screen, 512GB PCIE SSD, 16GB RAM, and an Intel Core i7 6700HQ. The issues that stand by this laptop: 1) Fan noise for doing simple tasks such as web browsing and watching videos. I find myself quite distracted by the fan noise whenever i'm web browsing which is truly disappointing especially for a company like Dell. 2) Key functions failing to respond properly after waking the laptop from sleep mode. 3) Slow wake-up/start-up times. No one seems to have this problem other than me so if anyone can reply back to me with a solution to this situation I would gladly attempt your solution afterwards. Overall, these issues make my experience with the DELL XPS 15 a truly disappointing expenditure. I'm planning on returning this laptop within a week or sooner, so if anyone could reply with solutions to these issues, verify that they have the same issues, recommend a new laptop, or disagree with me, I will be grateful for it. Thanks!
+Fighter I bought a uhd version and had the bad surprise to hear the fans when i was pluging the AC, i called dell, they told me it's one of the prbleme of the xps15? The choice was given to me to keep the computer whith the promess of future update or free motherbpard replacement in the future, and refund on accessories but i returned it, because i was buyin it because of the boring noise of my old asus laptop. i am amased to see no one doing reviews noticed that point.
When it comes to looking for a good School or business laptop. The only Windows laptops I consider now are the XPS line. I have a Dell XPS 13, late 2015 with skylake, and it's simply perfect. i7 model with 256gb SSD and it does all my daily tasks perfectly. Those tasks include writing a lot of papers, Programming with Eclipse and Microsoft Visual Studio 2015, and plugging in and powering my external 27" monitor for while at home working on school assignments. Don't expect it to game, but everything else it does flawlessly. Gone are the days of Windows driver problems or app crashes on this PC.
Just picked up this exact model. So excited for it to arrive, hoping it will be a perfect machine for my college engineering tasks in the following years. Cool review Linus👍🏼.
It's a great laptop! Just got the FHD 16gb 512 SSD and it runs well, only complaint is a little coil whine and horrible ghosting on the screen. But if you don't game it's really not an issue. The design of this laptop is impeccable.
In all fairness Dell has been really good to me I bought a Dell XPS M1330 in 2007, fast track 8 years later and I am now replacing it. This thing while not used for gaming, although I did play Borderlands and some Call of Duty games on it, was used consistently on a daily basis for my period of study for 3 years. It was used as my primary media viewing device, my workstation running everything from Word/Excel to Solidworks and AutoCAD and to be honest no problems. Right now it has a Core2Duo with only 2GB of ram and I still use it almost on a daily basis, with no problems. I am now looking at replacing it and I will be sticking with Dell (Inspiron i5 & 8GB ram).
+FlameMirage I orderered three times from DBrand, and never had any problem whatsoever. And I live in Italy. Every order arrived after one week, more or less. You surely had a carrier problem.
i understand dbrand is partnering with you, but god it's so cheesy when you want to see the actual finish and you see a bamboo skin on it. it seems very unprofessional :/
In watching this video, I had a thought about the placement of the webcam. In repairing LCD screens, I've noticed the inverter board usually goes directly in the middle of the bottom of the screen. If they wanted to keep the placement, then the webcam would have to go off to the side.
I got that laptop this afternoon for YR8, bc I'm doing graphic design and I got the 32gb ram and 1tb, non touch 4K display, is really good from what I have tried
I tried out the XPS 15 at the Microsoft store to see if I'd like it. While the screen is nice and the design is excellent, the keyboard is only acceptable, with not very much travel distance in the keys. They just felt shallow to me. Certainly not as good if typing is your main concern. Also, the trackpad palm rejection just didnt seem to work. While I was typing a test in notepad, the typing location would often jump from where I was typing to where the cursor was. This is not just annoying, it's a deal breaker for anyone who needs to do a lot of typing, programming, copy writing, etc. In contrast, the keyboard and palm rejection on the Surface Book was much better.
I've owned this laptop for about 3 months. Leaving stupid Windows 10 bugs aside and the lack of a numerical keyboard, I have no complains. It's fast, it's lightweight, has good battery, and I really like the mousepad. So far I feel like it was a good choice.
The GPU would get hot when playing Overwatch for me, so I bought a laptop stand to elevate it (and connected an external monitor + kb+mouse). This helped tremendously, but still, it would get a bit too hot occasionally. Wish it was possible to control fan settings.
For those that are planning on using this laptop for gaming, DON'T. Bought this laptop (i7 1080p model) and ended up returning it due to terrible ghosting/motion-blur (aka response time). It was OK for normal use, but made me motion sick while gaming (within 15 minutes). I looked up what the response time was and it's 40ms!! Two of my friends have the 4K XPS15 and have the same problem (though they don't use theirs much for gaming). Ended up buying the razer blade which has about one third the amount of ghosting. If you have any questions about the XPS15 (or blade) I'd be happy to answer.
Why the hell does Dbrand do the track pad but not the actual metal around the track pad? That seems like it would've been the logical choice for laptops.
What happened to audio quality and color grading in this video? Did you forget to set the white balance before filming? I know you guys have lots of work on your hands but this is a few notches down from your usual quality. The laptop looks great though!
I've been a fan of LMG since a long time, and back then they were casual fellas, playing around and making entertaining videos. That was what was keeping the spotlight on them. Now they have become an organisation which is solely based on educating, paid reviews, and nothing but dull performance. They have become robots that seem to hate their jobs. I want the old Linus back, where he made funny jokes, more casual videos, not fully scripted. You've changed, Linus.
Yo man, at my school we have these crap computers that I was surprised to see being able to run windows 8 on the back of 2006 monitors that get tons of screen tearing, the screens go black, and the resolution jumps between 1200 ish x 1000 ish and something way worse when only scrolling up and down on a web browser, and you can't even plug a USB stick into them and have it work. Almost any macbook would be better than those things.
What an amazing laptop! I just got one and I would recommend it to anyone! The 4k UHD infinity edge screen was the main selling point for me and it sure does have the wow factor! I am not a gamer, I will be using mine for graphic design and animation but If you are intending to use your laptop purely for gaming, then maybe you might consider some of the other gamer laptops on the market. This XPS would still be a great choice though, plus the build quality by Dell is bang on. I want to clear up a couple of things I heard in previous reviews when I was trying to choose a laptop. The XPS keyboard in my opinion is really nice to use. Yes it has short key travel but that's really not a problem. I personally was expecting the keyboard to be really small being the size of a 14" laptop, with the keys being really close together but they're not. The keyboard is a joy to use and the back-lit keyboard looks stunning! Along side the carbon fibre palm rest, the aluminium shell, the 4K infinity edge screen and the tapered 11-17mm thickness of the laptop. This laptop is sleek and stylish, which in my opinion, you don't find in gamer laptops. I have also not had any driver problems and everything seems to be working as it should. I think when the XPS was first released there were a couple of issues but as far as I am aware, Dell has rectified these problems.
I'm pretty sure this is the laptop for me...but, how's the battery life? I want it for college and I'm not sure how constantly being near an outlet will do for me there? Thanks
There are various options for the XPS 15, depending whether you get the 4K or FHD screen and which battery you get (56 or 84Whr). I personally have the 4K touch screen version and I reckon I get around 5-6 hours of light use, browsing etc, using low brightness settings. Here's a link to a discussion on the subject: forum.notebookreview.com/threads/dell-xps-15-9550-owners-what-are-your-battery-life-like.783807/
Is it worth the extra cost? For me in Canada, the difference is around $900 for the 4k touch model with a 1tb pcie drive Comparison: *- $1850 cad without tax* 6th Generation Intel Core i7-6700HQ Quad Core (6M Cache, up to 3.5 GHz) Windows 10 Home 64-bit English 16GB DDR4-2133MHz; up to 32GB (additional memory sold separately) 15.6" FHD (1920 x 1080) InfinityEdge 512GB PCIe Solid State Drive *-$2750 without tax* 6th Generation Intel Core i7-6700HQ Quad Core (6M Cache, up to 3.5 GHz) Windows 10 Home 64-bit English 16GB DDR4-2133MHz; up to 32GB (additional memory sold separately) 15.6" UHD (3840 x 2160) InfinityEdge 1tbPCIe Solid State Drive
I can't decide for you, but I'm a Canadian who just ordered the FHD for the following reasons: 1. Battery life: I need a longer-lasting battery because I'm on-campus all day. I know Dell's battery life estimations are hyper-liberal, but every review (both formal and anecdotal) I've watched and read have agreed that the 1080p version does get a few more [precious] hours of battery life without needing an external pack. 2. Glare: I don't exactly have a choice where I work on a campus of ~60k students. Awful florescent lit rooms, window-side benches, and outdoor seating are sometimes the only options I have so I can't afford to have a mirror-like screen, regardless of how pretty its pictures. 3. I hate touchscreens: I've had 'em on laptops, I hate 'em on laptops. I also don't need it. 4. 4k ehhhh: I'm very lukewarm about the 4k display because a) the 1080p screen is pretty clear and the colour gamut is still above-average accuracy, and b) not all that many applications (especially ones I use) have perfected scaling on 4k. And if I decide to game on this laptop (I already have a gaming PC), I'll just have to change the resolution back to 1080p in most cases anyway. It just doesn't matter to me. 5. Price: If this were the States, alright, maybe the difference would be negligible enough to upgrade. But the difference for me (and you, most likely, as well) at this point in time is almost $1k CAD. The only way I would ever buy the QHD option would be if the Microsoft Store had a sale on the XPS models they have right now (the i7, 500gb SSD is almost $2600 BEFORE taxes so you know that's going to run you just under $3k). In the end, it's up to you, your own needs, and whether the aesthetic difference is enough to sway you.
If you wanna control the fans hold SHIFT+Fn, while doing so, type 15324 wait a sec or so then press R, release SHIFT+Fn and you should be greeted with a "Thermal Control Panel". Like in old BIOS's use the arrow keys to navigate the menus and you can change the RPM of the fan manually to a static speed there. You can also turn off thermal throttling. Press Enter/Esc to exit the utility and return to your windows desktop. If you use linux, the entire system will likely hang & you'll have to reboot. Please note that when the laptop is turned off all settings for fan controls are set back to their defaults so if you wanna change it again, you'll have to redo this. This ONLY works on certain DELL laptops. Mine is a DELL Latitude E6400. It's old but i only use it for skype/discord etc.
Wow, look at this comment section, democrats, racists, homosexuals, amish etc. Linus sure has a broad demographic. Make Canada Great (again?) #Linus2016 build a wall and keep out the trumps.
dell is the best computer company there is-- I have bought 1-2-3.... 4 dells! 3 desktops.. and I just bought my first laptop the other day. Still waiting for it to arrive.
Michael are you still using XPS 15? I was disappointed with it's battery life, so I'm thinking of going Surface Book since that supposedly does actually get 8 hours of screen on time. My XPS 15 with 4k panel lasted on average 2 1/2 hours to 3 3/4 hours depending on the use.
+TCC That sucks! What did you use it for? This computer looks fantastic and the display oh my lordy. And the specs seems legit but if battery life is not good then gonna try looking at other laptops.
No Name Just light web browser and Skype. I was shocked by how bad the battery life is. After exchanging it for another at Best Buy it is actually arguably slightly worse on this 2nd model. Very frustrating, I guess the people that measure the battery life keep the brightness at like 10% or something.
The thing that really impresses me about the laptop is the physical size (something Linus didn't cover). The XPS13 is physically the same size as most 11in laptops and the XPS15 is physically the same size as most 13in laptops.
Linus! you went to the barber and said "please fuck up my head"
Lol do you mean hair?
both....lol
Don't judge it's not bad

I'm a Dell employee and have for years complained about our Website. Believe it or not, the site has improved but is still subpar.
i switched to apple because of that in 2012! :P

Linus how would you compare the Dell XPS 15 to the Asus Zenbook pro UX501 VW ?
Wait for the kaby Lake Refresh.
Linus sounds a little salty because Dell are not sending him review products after the X13 that he left in the rain on purpose before sending it back :D

But Linus, can it survive a rain? That is the question.
My god, I did not think I'd be buying a dell product since they never make anything good. But goddamn, the XPS 13/15 is top tier.
Linus, when are you going to do a review on the 2016 razer blade 14"? I need your expert review! Dave Lee already has his up ;)
He just released it
Thanks!
Connor McReynolds no problem.. I shouldn't have watched it, as I can't get it in my country, and even if I did I couldn't afford it....
ouch, I'm sorry man. There are better lappys out there though my friend

Good review, but that awful imitation of cheap wallpaper skin is the pits! How to ruin a great looking laptop. And on the track pad too!

Why can't the Dell customization section be built like pcpartpicker
+MrSoloDev I bought a uhd version and had the bad surprise to hear the fans when i was pluging the AC
I decided to buy the more expensive Thinkpad X1 Yoga instead.
i saw many people talking about keyboard issues always the spacebar. Enjoy your lenovo, good choice.
fans were not that loud but constantly runnig till the batterie was full ... disapointing

I regret buying the DELL XPS 15 and I do not recommend anyone to buy it because of the amount of issues that
it currently accounts for. I'm not sure if it is with my model only, but if anyone else has the same issues as me, please
reply to this comment about the situation.
The model I currently own has a 4K screen, 512GB PCIE SSD, 16GB RAM, and an Intel Core i7 6700HQ.
The issues that stand by this laptop:
1) Fan noise for doing simple tasks such as web browsing and watching videos. I find myself quite distracted by the fan noise
whenever i'm web browsing which is truly disappointing especially for a company like Dell.
2) Key functions failing to respond properly after waking the laptop from sleep mode.
3) Slow wake-up/start-up times. No one seems to have this problem other than me so if anyone can reply back to
me with a solution to this situation I would gladly attempt your solution afterwards.
Overall, these issues make my experience with the DELL XPS 15 a truly disappointing expenditure. I'm planning on returning
this laptop within a week or sooner, so if anyone could reply with solutions to these issues, verify that they have the same issues, recommend a new laptop, or disagree with me, I will be grateful for it.
Thanks!
+Fighter
And updating the drivers make everything worse.
Only in the world of Microsoft.
+Fighter I bought a uhd version and had the bad surprise to hear the fans when i
was pluging the AC, i called dell, they told me it's one of the prbleme
of the xps15? The choice was given to me to keep the computer whith the
promess of future update or free motherbpard replacement in the
future, and refund on accessories but i returned it, because i was buyin
it because of the boring noise of my old asus laptop.
i am amased to see no one doing reviews noticed that point.
It's amazing how much a company can improve when they're worried about their consumer and not putting the shareholders first.
Gone are the days of Windows driver problems or app crashes on this PC.

dang linus, you GOT EM'! GOT EM!!! got em good! take that dell!
So far so good. Haven't ran any processor intensive programs on yet, but i will in the near future. I am confident that it will run flawlessly though.
I am now looking at replacing it and I will be sticking with Dell (Inspiron i5 & 8GB ram).
dbrand, the company who took my money and never sent me my shit. thanks for the advertising. too good to be true.
+FlameMirage file a complaint then
Ivanderjsk dw, I just went to PayPal and got my money back. They kept telling me to wait and it never arrived.
+FlameMirage How long did you wait for your product to arrive?
+FlameMirage I orderered three times from DBrand, and never had any problem whatsoever. And I live in Italy. Every order arrived after one week, more or less. You surely had a carrier problem.

i understand dbrand is partnering with you, but god it's so cheesy when you want to see the actual finish and you see a bamboo skin on it. it seems very unprofessional :/
I liked the bamboo. Looks like my floor XD
In watching this video, I had a thought about the placement of the webcam. In repairing LCD screens, I've noticed the inverter board usually goes directly in the middle of the bottom of the screen. If they wanted to keep the placement, then the webcam would have to go off to the side.
I got that laptop this afternoon for YR8, bc I'm doing graphic design and I got the 32gb ram and 1tb, non touch 4K display, is really good from what I have tried
but the real question is it it waterproof?
now to leave it in the rain
Faux Hawk? You are too hip for me.
Thanks DBrand for providing this laptop for the review :)
is the audio delay from ur blade 14 video from ur blade 14?
I thought that you used an xps 12 for like 4 years
Linus went mad shit crazy on Dell after "fixing" his hair
I've owned this laptop for about 3 months. Leaving stupid Windows 10 bugs aside and the lack of a numerical keyboard, I have no complains. It's fast, it's lightweight, has good battery, and I really like the mousepad. So far I feel like it was a good choice.
The Dell XPS 9550 … we’re almost in full circle with the 9530 that just released 😮
I love how he gets pissed of at companies for not doing something right. :D
What the hell, they put a skin on a glass touchpad??? Who in their right mind would do that?
+Benjamin Columbus If it doesn't cause an issue then why not?
Can I play overwatch at high settings with 50+ fps on xps 15??
I play bout mid settings, at 70+ fps.
The GPU would get hot when playing Overwatch for me, so I bought a laptop stand to elevate it (and connected an external monitor + kb+mouse). This helped tremendously, but still, it would get a bit too hot occasionally. Wish it was possible to control fan settings.
I understand why because this was intended more to moderate users and video editors rather than gamers

Thanks!
What happened to audio quality and color grading in this video? Did you forget to set the white balance before filming? I know you guys have lots of work on your hands but this is a few notches down from your usual quality.
The laptop looks great though!
it looks much better without that skin

I've been a fan of LMG since a long time, and back then they were casual fellas, playing around and making entertaining videos. That was what was keeping the spotlight on them. Now they have become an organisation which is solely based on educating, paid reviews, and nothing but dull performance. They have become robots that seem to hate their jobs. I want the old Linus back, where he made funny jokes, more casual videos, not fully scripted. You've changed, Linus.
Thanks, I've been thinking about picking one of these up as my next daily driver
Jeez Linus your kid can comb his hair better than you...
Wish my school would get these for productivity instead of shitty ass MacBooks that we have.
Lol
Aww poor you...
Barish K I cried as well :'(
Yo man, at my school we have these crap computers that I was surprised to see being able to run windows 8 on the back of 2006 monitors that get tons of screen tearing, the screens go black, and the resolution jumps between 1200 ish x 1000 ish and something way worse when only scrolling up and down on a web browser, and you can't even plug a USB stick into them and have it work. Almost any macbook would be better than those things.
Franco Pellegrin You sure they are the same?? A friend of mine has one of these and none of these issues appear on his.
I hate that cheap wood shit. Fucking hell, it's so ugly.
MineCrafterCity You do know it is an extra option, and not a standard? Just get a computer without the skin, or choose another skin.
Wistbacka really? awesome man!
Here's a link to a discussion on the subject:
forum.notebookreview.com/threads/dell-xps-15-9550-owners-what-are-your-battery-life-like.783807/
Is it worth the extra cost?
For me in Canada, the difference is around $900 for the 4k touch model with a 1tb pcie drive
Comparison:
*- $1850 cad without tax*
6th Generation Intel Core i7-6700HQ Quad Core (6M Cache, up to 3.5 GHz)
Windows 10 Home 64-bit English
16GB DDR4-2133MHz; up to 32GB (additional memory sold separately)
15.6" FHD (1920 x 1080) InfinityEdge
512GB PCIe Solid State Drive
*-$2750 without tax*
6th Generation Intel Core i7-6700HQ Quad Core (6M Cache, up to 3.5 GHz)
Windows 10 Home 64-bit English
16GB DDR4-2133MHz; up to 32GB (additional memory sold separately)
15.6" UHD (3840 x 2160) InfinityEdge
1tbPCIe Solid State Drive
I can't decide for you, but I'm a Canadian who just ordered the FHD for the following reasons:
It's old but i only use it for skype/discord etc.
dat hair style is "over the top" if you know what I mean

Looked into purchasing this exact laptop but ended up not making it past the website configuration wizard - absolutely inexcusable.
dell is the best computer company there is-- I have bought 1-2-3.... 4 dells! 3 desktops.. and I just bought my first laptop the other day. Still waiting for it to arrive.
I want to sell my retina MacBook Pro 15 to get this......
+Melih k its better
I bought a MBP 15 end of last year, sold it for an i7 Surface Pro 4 in March, then just sold it for this. Finally happy now.
+TCC
That sucks!
I'm pretty sure Dell is not gonna take you seriously with that hair.
Its not a LinusTechTips review unless you throw this in a rainstorm or equivalent.
Watching this in my Dell, love this company.
The thing that really impresses me about the laptop is the physical size (something Linus didn't cover). The XPS13 is physically the same size as most 11in laptops and the XPS15 is physically the same size as most 13in laptops.
