For the "fastest man alive", he is NEVER fast enough to beat...anyone. No smack down on the bad guys. Just a therapy session. After season 2 it just sucked. I still cling to the memory's of the first two seasons. THAT used to be a good show. I hope they can let The Flash go out at the end of season 8 with some dignity.

Honestly Cisco and wells were my 2 favorite characters. And I'm probably going tibstoo watching the show after season 7. And I understand why the actors want to leave that's totally fair. But it's the fact that the rest of the characters are written so poorly to the point of being really annoying or just unlikable makes those 2 leaving even worse. Cause now I feel like there's no characters I care about any more. The new science dude is cool I guess but part of his charm was him and Cisco being bros.
And NO WELLS IS KILLING ANOTHER 50 PERCENT.

I saw no chemistry between Cisco and his girlfriend! I wanted to see him with Golden Glider and get his powers back fully! It’s stupid he gave up his powers then created tech to simulate them.
I would assume that carlos probably wanted to not have to act more like he has powers because it probably takes alot of energy and skill to do that. As silly as that may sound. Grant is probably exhausted after a days work because of all the running, jumping, flipping and motions with his limbs to do everything flash does with his powers over and over again for each take.
Barry and literally any girl but iris is awesome pair. Be it felicity, patty, kara or Caitlin.

Please let the writers stop using caitlin as a side character and actually give her a good arc. Hopefully in absence of wells and cisco, please let caitlin have a more prominent role in the team and not pretend like iris is the leader.
Iris hasn't been the leader for a minute, one of the best things they did for her was turning her back into a journalist.

I felt this year the story line SUCKED. I knew Tom Cavanaugh was leaving and we thought Carlos was leaving after season 5. I don't think the rest of the cast could successfully carry the show.

GUYSS! They aren’t leaving entirely, they are just leaving as series regulars, meaning they’ll be in select episodes. They will leave the show for a while, but they will always come back, Tom Cavanagh already left as a series regular back in season 7 episode 1, and he came back again as timeless Wells, because Tom isn’t a series regular anymore, they will come back in select episodes, Carlos Valdez will come back in select episodes

I think this is the perfect opportunity to make Barry(Grant) finally become a more comic accurate solo hero. The guy S1 Thawne kept comparing him to. It would also give the show a chance to step away from the cringey pep talks. I think Iris and joe would have to stay recurring but as for the other characters maybe they show up every once in a while. Star labs is unnecessary for such a small team, he could still have a “lair” but maybe scale it down to a size similar to the arrow cave. All the tech team flash uses is ridiculous, really he only needs Gideon, the flash is one of the most op characters and the show has kind of scuffed it
Look at the current events Barry and iris are trying for kids and maybe they have a bit of bad luck and at the end of this season they finally get pregnant, then next season the show picks up straight after instead of a six month gap and in season 8’s finale the twins are born. The twins birth could be the final scene and I think it would end the show on a good note, but season 8’s villain has to be reverse flash no question about it.

Without Cisco and Wells this show will just not feel the same. Also I feel like Grant has become a lot more sad since the start of the show and it’s not fun watching him anymore. And then there’s also the whole power of love thing they keep bringing up which just adds to the faults of the show.
It's the typical CW "lets all talk about our feelings" BS. All the Flash does is run around while the rest of the team saves the day. The Flash from the 90's was a bit corny, but it was the Flash who saved the day and he didn't cry about it.

Well judging by all the shows that got cancelled and actors leaving, it’s getting closer and closer to the end of the era of the original arrowverse. When cisco’s fear was revealed that he saw himself 30yrs into the future possibly still working at star labs while everyone else moved on, i think it’s a parallel for real life for carlos and the original cast. This version of the flash show can’t be going on forever because the actors will want to move on eventually into other projects. And i know carlos definitly would want to because he’s in his 30’s and the main credit for his acting career is cisco ramone. I don’t blame him for taking the opportunity to venture out while he has the chance to because he’s still young and have more he can build in with his talents. I honestly would love to see carlos in different projects because i’m curious of how far he can take his acting alone.

Since last season I’ve started noticing that the actors are getting tired of the show. This specifically show this season on Grant. You don’t see that spark of excitement in his eyes anymore… Instead for him I feel like it’s just work now nothing that special….

I doubt it’ll go that long. Carlos and Tom left, no one else except for Grant has signed for
Season 8 so most likely S8 will be the end. It would be cool to end in 2024 because the original timeline in Season 1 said that the Flash disappears in 2024 but it won’t last that long. Arrow ended in 2020, Supergirl is ending in 2021 December, so Flash will probably end in 2022.
Hopefully the rest of the cast stays for the 8 season because it's not going to be the some especially with tom and Carlos leaving that's bad enough because they been there since the beginning and hopefully no more leave
Show is over, was good while it lasted. It started going down a few seasons ago. However, could easily be saved with more reverse flash. Also if cisco wants to leave the show. Send him out the correct way, Thawne comes to kill him permanently.
He’s send off was atrocious, it should have been something brutal. But he will return for a few episodes to maybe they’ll do it then
Candice Patton is the real reason, she has been steam rolling over everyone from the writers, demanding Iris be made the central character of the show resulting in badly written versions of the comic stories such as literal Forces of Nature that originally existed from the start of the multiverse suddenly being her "children" or Barry only having access to certain abilities if he is being subservient to her wishes( they try to call it "being on the same page" but it is exclusively her "page" he has to "get on"), to the other actors/actresses, insisting they "make room" for her expanded role, and all with the threat of being labeled "toxic/misogynistic/racist" if they don't go along with her demands. It is of course ignored by "legitimate entertainment news" but is all over the studio lots and people are trying to get out fast before she either ruins them for crossing her or completely tanks the show damaging their professional reputations by proxy.
This is literally a lie. Candice Patton does not dictate the storylines. She’s merely an actor who portrays a role. Eric Wallace and the writers control the show and the directions it takes. Candice has even recently admitted that she doesn’t always like the storylines, but she still plays her role because that’s her job. Stop spreading false narratives fueled by your misogynoir ideologies.

Season 8 sounds like it's going to be a great (final) season. They say it's starting with a 5 episode crossover with other Arrowverse characters even cancelled ones (Supergirl, Black Lightning). I'm sure Grant will sign another contract for Season 9.

Yeah, it does have potentional. I just wish they'd heavily limit or just write off the side-characters besides Kaitlin/Killer Frost (why are they two people again, gg show), Barry/The Flash, and Joe. I mean I get they need a tech guy so ok I can deal with Chester. Allegra is ok. Unless they wish to return Wally West then otherwise forget about it. We don't need Cecille centered episodes, anymore Kramer, Chillbaine, anyone else useless. And if we are to see much of Iris then it needs to be her true rise to prominence in her field of work not anything else.

These have a more realistic tone, which I love. But I suppose CW’s The Flash was aimed at elementary aged and middle schoolers, so it’s still good in its own right, just not for me.

Actors have been doing this for years, leaving a show that made their careers and they never do anything else that even gets close to what they are known for.
Actors take on more than one project all the time as long as the timelines don’t interfere. I do not think actors should leave should leave a successful show that has made them a success unless there is an offer they cannot refuse.
I think the flash and most of the CW shows have all run their courses inclined the flash. I do think the flash should cancel after next season, especially with two main characters leaving. If this is true, then tom and Carlos should have stayed the course for two years and then when it ends, they would have a lot more time on their hands.
In this case, I feel more like they are tired of the trash writing and want to bail. I mean the S6 (ik it's in S7, but it was meant for S6) Nash Wells sacrifice felt like an ending to the era (yes I am going to ignore that power of love forces crap storyline). Reverse-Flash could still look like him, but the Wells would give it all up to keep The Flash as a hero (and thus kid flash, other flashes like Wally West, etc going). And I have a feeling Cisco(Carlos Valdes) was throwing out warnings as he seemed phased out despite appearing plenty in S6 still. I wouldn't have blamed anyone if they'd bailed after S5, even though I ended up liking Season 6 (though it's my least favorite in terms of seasons I don't hate like S5 and S7).

The wiring for most of the CW shows has gone to crap and quite frankly boring. I’m enjoying the latest supergirl arc, but like the flash it’s feeling like it’s run it’s course.
Then you have Legends where the cast keeps changing and the story line for me has become so far to follow and outrageous at times I stopped watching! The CW just doesn’t have the funding to really do their shows justice!
On a positive note I am enjoying Superman and Lois series as it feels new and fresh! Legacies is another show I enjoy, but I am sick of the Malavor arc and just want some of the original vimoire diary characters to return!

That's a really good theory and its smart too and then maybe Gideon gets hacked and becomes evil and somehow creates new forces to feed on... Instead of the sappy love thing it's not horrible but ur idea is better.
If only the writers weren't totally braindead, that could've happened instead of the death of this show with "the power of love" bringing it back.
I have 2 main thoughts
1: I would argue that Chester is already set up to not replace but fill Cisco’s roll.
2: One of two things needs to happen. Either they need to keep going past season 8 or need to approach Tom and Carlos and say look Season 8 is the last we just need you both for the later half of the season to not just give you and every main character a proper send off but also give the show a proper send off because that is what’s at stake here. The end of the show can’t just have these two in the last episode to give everyone who’s worked on it and everyone who’s watched it and loved it as we have the end it deserves.

Side note: I want reverse flash front and center as the villain for the last season of The Flash. You would have to kinda throw out the Godspeed villain story mostly.

I miss the OG Team Flash. It's touching when I saw the picture of Harrison Wells, Barry, Caitlyn and Cisco when Cisco is about to leave Star lab. I've been watching the flash since my high school time.
I don't think I've watched this series in probably three and a half years or so. I stopped watching I think sometime around when they kicked off Hartley Sawyer for 7-year-old tweets that meant absolutely nothing. Honestly if you're going to cancel people for stupid bullshit that happened on the internet that meant nothing when it was all a joke or it was in fun and you over think this stuff instead of going out of your way to say let's make this guy apologize publicly and keep him on versus kicking him off the show and having to rewrite the whole thing, that's what honestly pissed me off.
And I don't care what you say, I'm a very big comic book nerd at heart. When I say everybody should play their own character I mean everybody. Cuz if we took cyborg and made him white do you know how fast people would get pissed off? How fast does white people will be called racist? So why is it okay reverse?

Personally I think season 3 started the show’s downfall with the whole stupid Savitar being a speed force clone of Barry from the future. It was such an unnecessarily convoluted way to make the villain be an alternate version of Barry.
You can be damn well sure they are leaving to explore new avenues whilst their contracts are up due to the consistently dropping viewership and ratings. Not to be overly negative but it's good to know when to bounce. Such a shame though Tom and Carlos became such integral characters to the shown imo. Truly and end of an era!

Well here is the end of the Flash, Wells is at the center of the entire show. Cisco is the main team member outside Catiln and Barry. Now it will be the Iris show featuring the Flash. Ugh.

They've had reduced roles for the last few seasons... especially Valdes, so it makes sense that they'd jump ship when the show became virtually unwatchable
matt letscher's Reverse Flash is so underrated & underutilised. They should bring him back & explore Eobards backstory & transformation into The Reverse Flash in flashbacks of Eobard's past, which is our future.

I could care less if the show gets shut down forever because I don't watch it no more and haven't seen any episode ever since Hartley Swayer got fired I've been done with the series, I don't even watch the last seasons.
I watched mainly for Hartley (elongated man) and Caitlyn Snow.
I used to love this show a while back. Now its been dragged on too much that the quality of the show declined. No hate but it really should end.

They both have stated they would come back in guest appearances, especially Tom Cavanagh as there is one more last story for the Reverse Flash and Im also sure he will be back not only for that the as the newly reformed Original Wells.
The entire Arrowverse should be canceled.
I mean, it pretty much is. No greenlighting of an arrow spin-off with Mia as lead, nothing in sight about anything past one more season of the Flash. Canceled Black Lightning. Supergirl ends after S6. I seriously have no idea how legends or batwoman are still on tbh, the former cause they stopped trying after S3 entirely and the latter went from kinda bad to probably worst super-hero tv show ever.

To suggest that a character’s story is over, is to suggest that it’s one character. Cavanaugh has played many, many, many characters on this show, and thus, that phrase makes literally zero sense.
He’s merely abiding by his non-disparagement and nondisclosure agreements, included in their contracts.

the show went down after the whole family and love emphasis, too cringe. They could have done the campy scenes in a better way but it lacked effort.

Grant needs to do more solo stuff. Grant is a great flash just needs to do more solo Flash things that he can definitely do with minimal help. I will miss them but I am hoping they can do Flash more justice
