लेजर सर्जरी एक प्रकार की सर्जरी है जो सर्जिकल प्रक्रियाओं के लिए उपकरणों के बजाय विशेष प्रकाश किरणों का उपयोग करती है।
कई प्रकार की सर्जरी LASER के उपयोग के लिए अनुकूल हैं जैसे -
बवासीर

बवासीर के लिए लेजर सर्जरी - बवासीर के लिए पारंपरिक सर्जरी में पैखाने के रास्ते में चीरा लगना पड़ता है जिस से दर्द होता है, ऑपरेशन के दौरान खून बहता है एंड यह जगह हमेशा गंदी रहने की वजह से ज़ख़्म जल्दी ठीक नहीं होता। LASER सर्जरी में कोई कटौती शामिल नहीं है और इसलिए यह लगभग दर्द रहित है और आमतौर पर सर्जरी के दौरान रक्त की हानि नहीं होती है। लेजर आवेदन के तुरंत बाद पाइल्स मास सिकुड़ जाता है जिससे रक्तस्राव से राहत मिलती है और प्रक्रिया के बाद दर्द भी बहुत कम या शून्य होता है। रोगी उसी दिन घर जा सकते हैं और काम फिर से शुरू कर सकते हैं। इसलिए दोनों प्रक्रियाओं के बीच रिकवरी में बहुत अंतर है।
फिस्टुला: पारंपरिक फिस्टुला सर्जरी (फिस्टुलेक्टोमी या फिस्टुलोटॉमी) के लिए लेज़र में गुदा क्षेत्र में एक कट शामिल होता है जिसे समय के साथ ठीक करने के लिए खुला छोड़ दिया जाता है जिसमें कई महीने लग सकते हैं क्योंकि यह क्षेत्र गंदा है और ड्रेसिंग संभव नहीं है। इसलिए घाव ठीक होने तक रोगी के लिए मुश्किल समय होता है। लेज़र की मदद से इन बड़े कटों से बचा जाता है और फिस्टुला ट्रैक को साफ किया जाता है और लेज़र से उन्हें बिना खोले इलाज किया जाता है। इससे बड़े कट के बजाय एक छोटा घाव ही होता है जो सर्जरी के बाद रोगी के जीवन को अधिक आरामदायक बनाता है।
फिशर - इन - एनो: जब फ़िशर दवा की मदद से ठीक नहीं होता है तो उसे सर्जरी की ज़रूरत पड़ सकती है और लेजर सर्जरी से जल्दी रिकवरी होती है और लक्षणों से तुरंत राहत मिलती है। लेज़र की मदद से बिना किसी चीरे के यह ऑपरेशन किया जा सकता है जबकि पारम्परिक ऑपरेशन में चीरे की वजह से ज़खम भरने में समय लगता है।
वैरिकाज़ नसों के लिए लेजर: वैरिकाज़ नस के लिए पारंपरिक सर्जरी में नसों को निकालना पड़ता है लेकिन लेज़र की मदद से नसों को बिना हटाए जलाया जा सकता है, जिससे कम रक्त की हानि होती है, कोई चीरा नहीं लगता और मरीज़ तुरंत ही ठीक हो जाता है।
Laser surgery is a type of surgery that uses special light beams instead of instruments for surgical procedures. LASER stands for “Light Amplification by the Stimulated Emission of Radiation.”

Varicose Veins
Laser Surgery for Piles - Traditional surgery for piles involves excision of piles which leads to raw area in anal region and there is blood loss during surgery as piles are very rich in blood. This raw area takes many weeks to heal and is painful after surgery which makes recovery period difficult for patients. LASER Surgery does not involve any cuts and hence it is almost painless and usually there is no blood loss during surgery. Piles mass shrinks immediately after Laser application leading to immediate relief from bleeding and pain after procedure is also very minimal or nil. Patient can go home same day and resume work. Hence there is tremendous amount of difference in recovery between both procedures.
Laser for Fistula - in - ano: Traditional fistula surgery (Fistulectomy or fistulotomy) involves a cut in anal region which is left open to heal with time which may take many months as this area is dirty and dressing is not possible. Hence patient has a difficult time till the wound is healed. With the help of laser these big cuts are avoided and the fistula track is cleaned and treated with laser without opening them. This leads to a small wound instead of a big cut which makes life of the patient much more comfortable after surgery.
Laser for Fissure - in - Ano: when Fissure does not heal with the help of medication it may need surgery and laser surgery can lead to quick recovery and relief from symptoms.
Laser for Varicose Veins: traditional surgery for Vericose Vein involves stripping of veins but with the help of laser the veins can be burned without the need to remove them which leads to less blood loss, almost no skin incision and quick recovery.

Treatment of fistula is decided by type of fistula and since how long it is there and after clinical examination. VAAFT and laser treatment both are good options in respective indications.

I had done fistula in ano laser surgery on 27th march.. after the surgery am getting pus, some stool pieces and gas from the wound.. i consulted the doctor he made ultrasound.. then he said due to laser burn in tract he cant see internal opening.. told me wait for another week.. am worrying lot plz tell me my laser successfull or not
