- Hey, UA-camrs! I'm so excited to share my first of many continuous one line drawing tutorials.
I've been receiving so many requests through the years on how people can learn this technique. As I mention in the video that this wasn't something I planned on teaching, because I see it more of an exercise - similar to gesture drawing or doodling. But with that said, I thought I'd share some tips to help you get started.
Because of how this channel has grown recently, I plan on creating more in-depth tutorials down the road and I'm open to your suggestions in the comments section on what subject you'd be interested in learning.

Man, I just found out my sweet pitty had a brain tumor and I wanted to go learn a bit line drawing as something to do while talking about why she’s so special to me - and this was of course the first thing I followed. Really touched my heart
Maaan, I'm sorry to hear about your sweet pitty! I began doing these drawings right after I tragically lost my dog. It definitely became a form of therapy and helped me cope with the loss.

Recently I saw an artist do this one line drawing. Then they added color and texture to it. I suppose it's sort of like Contour drawing.

If I take a picture of my white dog with a black backdrop, I can do the outer outline. It's the inner that I am not sure I can do.
I see it looks like you went directly down the center of his snout, so I suppose that's how you divide it and then look for the shapes?

I lo be thus video. It is a work of art in itself. I can image a dog lover or a white wall needing a little punch of color in a frame and a colored line drawing .. inexpensive and different… waiting for my Starbucks coffee before I settle in and give this and others a try.
