Wow.....talk about your blast from the past, I can't believe I just came across this video. I wonder if the Master remembers me I hope so cause he changed my life. Growing up when I was kid in the 90s, he took me in. At that time Master trained in a school basement in New York City, on Amsterdam ave on 123rd st, I think it was called P.S 125 or something I dont really remember. anyway it was called master Davis school of survival back then it was awesome I allowed to train with Masters older students, and then go right to the swimming pool when I was done, where Mr. Hicks was the swing teacher there the reason I wrote some of theses details is just in case by any chance you are reading this Master. my name is Chris btw clearly I was kid back then you might not remember me however I was the kid with the big burn scar on the side of my face, because of that I was picked on and bullied. until the day you saw me being picked on and stopped it. You then told me I needed to stand up for myself or it will never stop,..til this day idk what you seen in me but you took a chance on me. I came from a poor family I couldn't afford to pay for classic, and you said that you would be willing to train me however I must do what you ask without complaining, and that will pay for my classes by working it off. my job was making sure the dojo was clean and all gear was accounted for and put in its places😊, inbetween classes and at closing and you know what Master, not only did you teach me how to stand up and defend myself but you also gave me my 1st job, and in doing so showed me about responsibility, honour, respect for ones self and others to have pride in myself and my work plus the satisfaction that comes from earning ones place, through hard work and dedication....I never got the chance to thank you Master because unfortunately I moved, however I never forgot you or your teaching. As well as your words of wisdom that I now teach to my children. because of you I stood out of the street, gangs and jail. I'm married now a proud father of 3 and a productive member of society. also my 16y.o Son is taking up Muay thai kickboxing my oldest daughter is a health care manager and my youngest well she's still a baby oh wow I got a little carried away here. Anyway I owe it all to you Master I could've ended up in jail like my brothers or worst. if not for you taking a chance on me when nobody did, for caring when no body did, for showing this Spanish mix Harlem kid from the projects. that I didn't need anyone's approval other then my own that kept me from being a follower which kept me out of trouble, to go on my own path and not become another statist, that I dont have to be where I'm from that I can do better and be better as long as I work hard for it. To never give up or give into fear. Thank you Master 🙏 I wish you the very best and I hope and pray that when and or if, you come across this messages it finds you in the best of health with peace of mind. you will always have my up most respect, admiration and a place in my heart I never forgot you Master and never will til our paths cross again.... If anyone know how to contact the Master via email that would be great I'm actually one of his old students from the 90s lost touch when I moved I just want to thank him is all never got a chance to so if anyone know how I can contact him or at least if you cant give me his info please as him to at least read my post I just want him to know how thankful I am that he was there for me when I was a trouble kid is all God bless everyone
