I have to say, Clisare and Jamie were hilarious, as were Justine and Tom, but the sheer unadulterated joy from Paddy and MC was enjoyable to watch.
I’ve never actually been “jealous” of something you’ve eaten until the Tikka Masala sub! 🤯. This needs to be a thing in the US!
This needs to be a thing in Canada! I'd go for that!
Legitimately gasped when they brought that up. It must definitely needs to be a thing in the US
@@silverranger3532 that's called flavor.
I don't go to Subway here because we have decent Italian delis in NJ. When I lived in Singapore this was a novelty and I ate there often. So I've had the Chicken Tikka and it is nice.
that sounds really good. i've had tikka masala at one restaurant and i actually felt happy after eating that meal
When you place a volume order they do box it in the US, especially if it is ordered for a company event. Feeding five subs to six people is essentially a thirty sandwich order, which would cause the boxes to come out of hiding.
Thanks for the explanation. I was thinking that Irish Subways are so much fancier than ours.
my favorite sandwich from subway was a house sandwich i'd make for myself when i worked there. I called it the Mad Lad. herb and cheese bread, a single layer of pepperoni and salami, meatballs with marinara, onions, bell peppers and jalapenos, toasted, with a single line of southwest sauce for a little extra kick. sounds strange, but it was delicious.
Jamie pronouncing the J in jalepeno is the most Irish of things.
😅💯✨
Irish *Tings
i did that for 2 years untill someone told me.
Actually most people pronounce it that way, other than Americans and Spanish.
@@fubytv731 Dutch /Afrikaans also pronounces J as Y
Sometimes you go into a TRY shoot and it feels like you hit the jackpot. Today was one of those days. 😍
Sponsored jackpot???
And for once, i think the commenters can't complain. You got the steak, the meatball, the BMT...all 3 of the holy trinity.
You need to try from Subway the Italian BMT with meatballs!
And then sometimes you get durian fruit. Lol. What a food roulette you play
the only thing I can think is that you poor folks must not have other sub shops in Ireland, because Subway is bottom of the barrel shit in the US.
God, I hope they were allowed to take all the remaining half-sandwiches home with them. This was a nice episode where _all_ the Try'ers were equally happy!
I remember working in a deli and this regular customer originally from Ireland was saying that her first time in a deli in the States, she a long look at the meats and finally decided what kind, then they asked her how she wanted it sliced, and she was so not used to being asked that that she was confused. They explained they could cut it thick or thin, or somewhere in the middle, and if she wanted very thin they could shave it for her. She said she started to cry. She was used to them just asking how much she wanted, slicing it and then shoving it at her, and that it was all too much and she got emotional. Anyway, she didn't happen to mention where in Ireland she was from, but the most interesting customer was her and the German guy who just ordered one slice of ham, with the blade as far as it would go. Which he got every day. Every day he had a ham sandwich with an enormous piece of ham on it, I guess. What does this have to do with Subway. Nothing, I just wanted to share.
I worked in deli too. A world renowned heart surgeon who was retired but still teaching medical students, would come in every Friday and order a calorie bomb of a sandwich. I had to be discreet because he didn't want any of his students seeing what he was eating. He told me he ate healthy his whole life and now he was retired and living it up. One day his daughter caught him red-handed. She laid the mother of all guilt trips on him. It was hilarious.
Maybe the German guy wanted to slice it himself, or freeze it, I dunno
@@tomcarl8021 That's got to be hilarious! I nearly soiled my underwear from laughing so hard.
More likely the German had a fried ham steak each night. But maybe a really thick ham sandwich? I just remembered I used to really like that as a kid
@@tomcarl8021 There comes an age where you're just like fuck it, give me something I can eat and die happy from.
THANK YOU MARINATED GODS
Be truthful MC, You had a big beaming smile on your face as no durian was involved in this shoot. LOL :)
They should have put it in bread because what you had is not legally bread
So long as they're only marinated, not fully pickled. Sideways, not under the table. Wobbly, not passed out.
I am glad there was no grass in these subs because you were told you can't eat grass anymore since you got your appendix removed. haha
The BMT is named after a former subway company in New York, Brooklyn Manhattan Transit. Get it? Subway? (They still use that designation sometimes for the former lines of that company.)
I love how the "thatsa one spicy meataball" meme continues when it originated in a US tv commercial for Alka Seltzer from 1972
Some things are timeless
I love how I'm not the only one who remembers that commercial! Hello other old people...LOL

I just want to say Paddy Murphy seems to be a real cool guy. He’s always fun and nice to whoever he’s paired with. Just a real cool dude.
He’s an asshole who thinks who the hell he is.
Is this sponsorship an attempt at repairing their Irish reputation after, last year, their bread was legally not allowed to be called bread anymore in Ireland because of the high sugar content? 😂😂
I wish the FDA monitored stuff like that here, too.
You beat me to it. I was thinking the same thing. Didn't stop me from enjoying the video, however.
@@samiam619 I wish the FDA did a lot of things to keep us safe.
It's legally bread for sales and advertising purposes; it's only for taxation purposes that it's not bread.
The tax laws have staple foods, such as bread tax-free, but sugary bread used for pastries, donuts, cookies, cakes, etc. is an exception because it's not an essential dietary food you'd use for getting your servings of grains, and rather a dessert you'd have as a luxury food. Subway bread is still bread, they just have to pay taxes on it because it's taxed as pastry dough.
@@samiam619 it would be the IRS, not the FDA because it was a tax dispute, not a nutritional dispute. The was based on dispute on "bread" being tax exempt, but "pastry bread" not being tax-exempt, and Subway didn't want to have to pay taxes on their bread because most of the world does something different instead of sales tax.
As an American, I'm disappointed that we don't have chicken Tikka.
I'm also confused what "tiger bread" is...
I was just going to comment this but saw your comment and decided I'd just say... EXACTLY! We don't have these things... which Subway are you getting these from? Hello? I wanna try Tiger Bread!
you need to google tiger bread, its beautiful.
I had to Google it… this is what I found:
“Tiger bread, also known as Dutch crunch or giraffe bread depending where you are, is basically a standard bread dough that’s topped with a thin paste made from rice flour, water and sesame oil before baking. As the loaf rises in the oven, the paste on top cracks and turns golden - and gives off that delicious, toasty tiger bread scent and flavour.”
@@souixaan omg it is beautiful!
@@FiaraGC i buy it in huge bloomer loaves and crust buns from the supermarket. it makes the best bacon butties. if you can bake its worth having a go at making some
This was the longest Subway commercial I ever decided to watch. Obviously Subway said Dermot wasn't allowed on this one
That's because Subway couldn't give Dermot a peanut butter and jelly sub.
Exactly what I was thinking. Unless perhaps Subway is 1000x better in Ireland than it is in the states. Somehow I doubt it.
Can you imagine the sounds emanating from his enjoyment of eating a phallic symbol?
This is far Jamie. He mentioned that he liked a good amount of meat in his sandwiches. I second that opinion! I don't know if the Subway shops in Ireland have this or not. Where I live in the central area of Alabama in the United States, our Subway shops have what they call footlong pro sandwiches. That means that you get double the protein on your sandwich. It's awesome! Take one of my go-to sandwiches from Subway. A footlong pro meatball on Italian with extra marinara sauce, topped with mozzarella cheese, toasted, and with black olives, oregano, and parmesan cheese added at end. Oh baby! That's a footlong sandwich with 16 meatballs on it!
yeah if you wanna spend like 11 dollars on just one sub..
In Canada, we have the "Double meat" option on all subs.
Impossible to close. I feel bad for the sandwich artists. Might as well ask for it to be on flatbread 🙄
*You're making me hungry!*
It's amazing that we like watching these people so much that we can watch them eat common food they are already familiar with.
LoL Paddy bringing up the "first time visit" pins that we got when we went to Disneyland last year the day before they shut down due to covid 😂 Fun times!
You and Judy were the only ones who would get the origin of my reference. 😁
@@PaddyMurphy I just found one of the pins cleaning my room the other day...We have to go back and get you a different one next time!
@@elementalchick407 I have unlimited access to all the pins, but I think it'd be more fun to collect them during actual visits. So more another visit should definitely happen again!
@@PaddyMurphy Wow. I could have almost run into you. We were there on Tuesday and Wednesday that week, left late Thursday afternoon the day they announced the parks would be closing after Friday. We spent the day before we left hitting up Trader Sam's tiki bar at the Disneyland Hotel and then hanging out at the Grand Californian hotel by the fireplaces while it dumped rain outside until taking a surge price Uber to LAX that cost us over $100USD to head home.
@@PaddyMurphy Got it as soon as you put it on! Lol!!
When Clare first showed up, for a fleeting second I thought "she broke her finger again!", then I remembered they film these in advance, and this was most likely the fracture that she already talked about on her channel, and that her fingers are free of that contraption, and she's all well again, thankfully.
Great video, as always. The only problem, is now I want Subway, and I don't have a Subway. Love to all.
I wish I could send you the Subway from our town! the only problem is they are absolutely horrendous. I miss having a good Subway nearby.
There's a Subway around the corner from my place and I always forget it exists.
didnt she just have an video on her channel that shes broken her fingers for the 2nd time?
@@MontgomeryWenis There is a good reason for that.
@@catiepeh Yes, and that's why I thought it was a third time, for a split second. Glad I was wrong.

Especially the macadamia nut and the oatmeal raisin my God
Raspberry cheesecake is the best.👍
I'm so mad that Subway in America doesn't have hearty Italian bread anymore. It was always my favorite.
I'm jealous they get their Subway in boxes. In the US they just shove all your sandwiches in a plastic bag and are angry you even went in their store.
Subway. Eat Angry!
I always appreciate the bag after eating throw everything in bag and the. Throw away easy. And rudeness isn't common here. But they probably just made 1000 subs and want a break and you walk in.
I tried to doordash subway once here in the U.S. Once. I feel like highlighting that point because they didn't even bother to wrap my sandwich in paper. They just threw it in a paper bag all loosey goosey and didn't even bring me my Baked Lays. Subway is a mood.
@@ItDoesntMatterReally your DoorDash driver probably swiped some of your meat from the sub. 😀

There is a meme that everyone picks their subway sub at age 7 and orders it for the rest of their life
@@richardhoflin3920 chicken bacon ranch. I haven't had subway in years because they got super skimpy but that's my go to unless there's something special
The pairings of the Try Channel “contestants” was great! They all played well off one another and made it even more enjoyable to watch.
I love their pronunciation of "Sub" word they literally pronounce it like "Suub" not "Saaab" so cool!
Subway? In a box?!
Yes.....in your box.
In Ireland, yes. Many countries don't use plastic bags since it's a waste of resources so you either get it in a box or paper bag.
Subway is the sponsor, sooooo it has to look good.

The Steak & Cheese is great when toasted on flatbread.
Always flatbread!

It was so awesome to see Mary-Claire again. She has always been one of my favorites. I live on subway. I would love to try the chicken tika and the tiger bread. Steak and cheese is my favorite.
MC got her sandwich a wee bit confused. The cheese would not have said howdy. If it was on Texas toast then yes, it would have said howdy.
Everybody knows all Americans say howdy.
If it is a NYC sandwich, it would say Yo. Spoken entirely through the nose.

I've binge watched all these videos. I can't put my finger on it but watching Irish people eat American food is so entertaining LOL. they are smart and funny. Which adds to the allure.
Can’t go wrong with a Meatball Marinara with Jalapeños with Italian Herbs and cheese bread 🥖.
I tend to get tomatoes, pickles, pepper jack, and a pairing of sweet onion and southwest sauces on the meatball.
My roommate screaming "OMG Claire is wounded!!! Bring the liquor!!!" is gonna stay with me long after dementia takes hold in old age XD
“I found it really hard to get that ball out of my mouth.”
I hear another Subway spokesperson had a similar problem…
At Terminal 3 at Toronto Pearson Airport, the Subway there makes an awesome
chopped salad, cream of broccoli soup, and potato bread sandwich.
This does feel a lot like a 10 minute advertisement for SubWay lol, but it's still entertaining nonetheless.... love you guys!!
It literally is.
A little bit of information for you. The BMT originally stood for Brooklyn Manhattan Transit. When Subway became a franchise they absorbed that location and kept the initials for the signature sub.
Yeah and after Brooklyn Manhattan Transit it stood for Big Meat Trio. Biggest Meatiest Tastiest is yet another rebranding.
@@rapa2894 A subway worker once confirmed the Big Meat Trio for me
I've never had a BMT and I never knew what'son it. I always thought it stood for bacon, mayonnaise, and tomato.
Paddy's face and neck were quite red at the start...all that Summer sun! The Southwest Sauce may be the best thing on Subway's menu. I STILL wish they had mushrooms as a topping choice. I now also wish we had Chicken Tikka and Tiger Bread as options here in the U.S. Thanx for sharing! ~Be Blessed
Yeah, the southwest sauce is my go-to. I put it on everything except the meatball. I like my meatball very simple. Bread, cheese, meatballs, extra sauce.
such a lovely video with awesome vibes throughout. very enjoyable to watch.
Weird feel to it. It really feels like the sponsorship tempers the potential for the “F- you! This is gank!” response that at least one person generally has at least once per episode. Whether or not they all happened to enjoy every sandwich, the sponsorship just makes it feel like one big commercial. Nope.
agreed. The whole thing made me cringe, and it's the first time I haven't actually enjoyed a Try video.
the reactions seemed genuine to me.
Thank you. I thought I was the only one.
100% agree...
Reel Big Fish have a song called “Sell Out.” I love Try, but this is just awful. If you’re not going to slander at least some of the food, don’t do it.
Subway is dreck.
MC yelling "yeehaw" from behind her sandwich is honestly making me wheeze
Ok the funny part is, "sponsored content" Holy shit this is the second coming of Christ!!!! Non-sponsored content... Holy shit are ya trying to poison us Colin ?!?!?!?!?
In their defense: buffalo wing soda. I mean, I think Try may have actually been trying to poison them.
@@sword_of_light Interesting. I thought the Ranch Dressing soda was the real threat.
It brings joy to my heart to see people from other parts of the world enjoy these kinds of things. From snacks, to liquor to sandwiches its truly awesome. Much love to you guys and God bless you. ❤❤❤❤
The BMT stands for Brooklyn/Manhattan transfer. This combo sandwich was originally sold at subway transfer platforms. The standard Italian sub has pepperoni, salami, and ham ,lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Vinegar and oil, salt and pepper.
Subway to go-that's so punny, MC!
As an American I enjoy Subway. With many options I still have a Subway lunch once a month. Glad our Irish friends enjoyed it. 😊🍀
Really? The only time I ever eat Subway is when it's the only choice. It's fine, but definitely the bottom of the sub barrel in my mind. You get like 3 slices of meat, mediocre toppings, and a mountain of lettuce.
But Jersey Mike's? Or a Firehouse meatball sub? Sub perfection. *Chef's kiss* And if they aren't available, I'll take Jimmy John's, Quiznos, or even Wawa or Sheetz over Subway any day.
@@dominickpastore So the problem with that is, everywhere except subway has zero veggie sub options. They don't even have a variety of veggies, just lettuce tomato onion. So if you're not vegetarian they are better options, but if you don't eat meat they're way worse than Subway. But subway sucks too so I literally only eat it if it's my only option. If I want a cold sub I just make my own. If I want a hot sub I just order an eggplant Parm sub from an Italian restaurant or there's one small chain called Capriottis which has vegetarian chicken or vegetarian beef cheestesteaks.

This has been one of my favorite videos in a long time. Everyone enjoyed the food and was able to rank their favorite to second favorite, but no one hated anything. The pairings of people were the best! I have a soft spot in my heart for each of these people who I consider friends although we have never met! This channel debuted immediately AFTER my trip to Ireland! Not fair! When I was at the University Of Southern California, there used to be a submarine sandwich shop nearby called The Substation and they had fantastic subs on French rolls. I worked there for two years and so it's hard to go to Subway now!
“ In Kilkenny Ireland, they don't have anything American over there, it's very cool. But they did have a Subway sandwich shop. That was the one thing they had American, and that became the American Embassy to me. I would go out to a bar and piss off an Irish dude and have him chase me to the Subway. I said, "Dude, I'm sorry, but you're out of your jurisdiction. But you can have a cold cut combo, though."

The Meatball Marinara is my go-to at Subway. Delicious!
I used to love that sub until I was 18. I started having issue with dairy. Now I have to take Lactaid before eating a meatball marinara sub.
Having had _real_ meatball subs made with love by people who cared about food, to me Subway meatball subs just taste like disappointment.
One of the worst sandwiches for your health. Loaded with fat and salt.
Aka the guido deluxe.
@cyberjar88 how do you get yours made up?
Subway arrived in Huntville, TX around 1984. It was like the only order was the BMT. They actually canoe'd out the bread, so that they removed a wedge of bread from the top, and installed the wedge after they made the sandwich. They didn't ask 12 questions, they simply started making a BMT. If you didn't want the green pepper or whatever, you could pipe up and they didn't include.
Always interesting to see the difference in Subways across the globe. Would have LOVED that Chicken Tikka

Subway really got their money's worth on this sponsorship! To tell the truth, the quality at Subway in the States has really slipped in the past ten years. It's nice to know that Subway is still good in Ireland!
it seems they over extended themselves expanding to much and just arent the same just like dunkin donuts
I certainly agree. Subway has go e down hill in service and value. Like many, I avoid this chain and have moved to non-franchised deli’s and restaurants.
It’s so weird reading these comments cause it’s genuinely lovely here? Like I wouldn’t even consider it fast food, I’d consider it a healthier option. Everything is always fresh and it’s way nicer than deli sandwiches. So it’s surprising to read otherwise!

STEAK N CHEESE
ON ITALIAN HERBS N CHEESE BREAD BUN
TOASTED WITH WHITE CHEESE
ADD PEPPERONI

JALAPENOS & OLIVES & SPINACH
CHIPOTLE & BBQ SAUCE

I believe your Subway’s are a wee bit nicer than ours here in the States!
Just wee bit
So much better and more satisfying than the first time you all did Subway!
Quite the royal treatment for the TRYers in this vid, cool of Subway to sponsor your channel. I hope Colin and Sean got some food, too.
Add lettuce to the Meatball sub, it also doesn't come with Jalapenos here in the regular/ standard order in the 'states, but a good choice. It's also better with Provolone Cheese. Other than that, Subway can really be a tossup of how good it is, some stores here are garbage and have gross old product, some are much fresher.
@@csnide6702 The quality can be absolutely terrible pending the store, as in the veggies and produce being expired and nearly rotting, contaminated old meat, etc..
They can be very cheap too I agree, I rarely eat at Subway anymore (namely as only certain stores have the gluten free bread option) but when I do I order double of all the meats and mayo.
I vote for no sponsored content.
Amen. Really compromises a great channel.
Sponsors pay for the content you want to see. Content creators can and should do sponsored content. These videos don't grace your feed because the people making them feel like being charitable to you. This is their job. They're making a living, just like you are at your job, and sponsors pay a significant part of their wage.
If you don't trust the opinions in sponsored videos, disregard them and move on to the next video. They clearly state they're sponsored.
@@Travesty9090 Go ahead and have sponsors, do an ad for said sponsor, they try something other than what the sponsor is promoting. They've done it with non-food items in the past.
Hard agree. We have no clue if the reactions were genuine. Or if they were allowed to say anything negative. I understand having sponsors. But this is literally a 10 minute ad for Subway.
Don’t like it, don’t watch it. Easy peasy.
Interesting marketing of Subway in Ireland. Great shoot.
Im so glad Clisare had as life changing of an experience with adding peppers to a sub. Glad I wasnt the only one.
After seeing the title I was gonna come and say "Sub to the channel" but fooking Jamie had it covered. Also, Try needs more Justine.
"This episode is sponsored by Subway". "Every sub is great!". Good job peeps, this works wonders for your credibility.
It might genuinly be tasty since american fast food has food addition down to a science, but not what you'd actually get in stores especially the amount of "meat"
gtfo fast food is tasty af
The bread comment was especially funny in light of the fact it was an Irish court that ruled Subway couldn't legally call their yeasted product bread.
The Italian BMT has been my go-to for 2 decades, I love it ❤
Great video guys!
I use to eat Subway all the time, until '07 when I got some uncooked bacon on a sandwich from them.
I tell everyone don't ever get bacon from Subway.
That became food poisoning. A bacterial colony ended up in my colon. That was a VERY bad year for me.
I later got diagnosed with E.coli, and after that M.S.
I believe that the E.coli/food poisoning was the trigger that turned on the M.S. in me.
So I haven't been back since.
I just look at it as I pass on the way to Fire House or Nixon's Deli.
I miss Quiznos though. Hate that there's not one in my area anymore.
Quiznos was WAY over priced. A nice little deli is the best thing anyone can have. I feel terrible about your food poisoning story, but you know it was a freak accident. The stores are all owned by different people, and yadda yadda. I once got terribly ill from undercooked chicken thighs (I did it to myself, so nobody to blame it on). I'll fully admit that I couldn't/wouldn't eat chicken for a few months, but eventually, you gotta get over it.... The only food I absolutely refuse is milk too close to the expiration date. You'd know if you ever chugged an expired chocolate milk. YUCK! Not to be rude, but how would E.Coli trigger M.S.? You mean multiple sclerosis, right?
@@Danielson1818 many things can trigger it. It's still being studied and there is still no cure.
Subway is dead to me. End of story.
There are too many other choices now to have to settle for sub-par
I haven't been to Subway in awhile but after looking at what tiger bread is I'm definitely going to have to go check it out
If you're in the USA, don't bother lol the best sounding things in this video are not in the US.
Bmt, herb and cheese bread, american white cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, banana peppers (sometimes called sweet peppers), olives , salt , pepper, vinegar and oil. This is my wife's favorite subway sandwich.
Thanks guys, now I'm craving Subway!
See, in the US, we get basically no meat on a sandwich now. They've gotten pretty dreck :(
Yep. You can get better out of a airport vending machine.
I've learned a new word
Honestly I order the veggie delight and they don't put hardly anything, but it costs the same as the basic meat sandwiches. But then they want to drown it in sauces.
@rapheALtoid I have been to many Subway franchises in several different states and I have to say that everyone of them is stingy with the meat. That's why I don't go to Subway anymore.
Subway has always been dog shit on a roll
I only went there like three times and definitely stopped with the whole Jared thing went down !!!
U all ALWAYS make me smile 💯💞😍🙏
Btw the meatball sub is the best IF u can get them to do the old Subway boat cut on the bread 🥖💯💞
Wow, I'd forgotten about the 'boat cut'!
You guys are giving away golden advertising ideas to Subway. They should be paying you loads of cash. LOL
The absolute unfuckingbridled joy of y'all in today's video is downright infectious.
