As an Irish fan our football team is only going to get worse . 99% of Irish football fans only care about the prem and have little or no interest in the league of Ireland which is barely even a pro league , most the lads make less than an entry level 9-5 office job per year . Our FA is garbage and would be bankrupt if it wasn’t bailed out countless times. There’s also the issue that in Ireland gaa and rugby both allow their young players to get a college degree for free while in under age academies etc so even if it doesn’t pan out they’ve gotten that at least and they can stay living in their home town during that too. Whereas with football they have to go a different country at like 16 to become a pro and if they fail they come back to Ireland with no job or education or money.
If you think Steve copper is gonna go from the premier league to managing Ireland who can’t afford to offer a quarter of his wage at Forest then I’ve got news for you mate. And why would he go for the Ireland job, if he wanted to manage a national team, the Welsh job is very much on the line, I’m sure he’d rather manage his country on good wages than a failing Ireland team
The idea alone of the video Irish guy would make for that appointment would be priceless. Other than that, former prem managers have landed in far more obscure positions after the fact.
Here man, lol, it could be worse. No one can ever take away from the fact that John O'Shea spent considerable time around Alex Ferguson and many other great players, let's just see where it goes. And I know that being a former Ferguson players is kind of a cursed chalice in terms of his former players records, but it could be grand. Let's see. I'd appoint him just because of the people he's been around. Let's hope he applies his potential knowledge!
John O'Shea also having the Life of Riley the only person seen at FAI Headquarters in months. Is the Ambassador for The Europa League Final which is in Dublin this year he was appointed that by UEFA. Revealed at the draw for the last 16 that an English team would definitely be in the final. Now probably appoints himself as the Interim Irish Manager too. He's also the Director of Football at the FAI. Nice money for him. 3 jobs until the Europa League is finished.
This is how every American soccer fab feels. Our national team has the talent to actually comlete with the world's best, and yet our Federation is content to simply double down on the same stale, corrupt system that has led us to failure after failure. I mean we're literally cheering to LOSE in copa america this summer so the manager might get fired before the world cup in 2 years
Caomihin kelleher is older than bazunu and never was a number 1 goalkeeper for a club team and as a result should not be starting keeper for ireland. Wait until Alison comes back from injury and he'll be warming the bench again and continue for the foreseeable future unless he leaves Liverpool which he should've done years ago. Before anyone comes at me i would like to say I want kelleher to succeed but he doesn't stand a chance no matter how many league cup finals he wins unless he leaves Liverpool. Shay given said it before he's not young anymore (hes 26 this year), he needs to be a 1st choice keeper if he should be seriously considered as a 1st choice for ireland
Every lad that’s even slightly athletic plays either rugby or Gaelic football in Ireland. That’s what most Irish people prefer and prioritise and that’s what they’re good at.
Any gaa player who could make it in the premier league would do it, issue is very few are good enough. A lot of them aren’t good enough to play in the prem but still could play league of Ireland or in the lower league in England. So the option js Play pro football for an average wage Or play GAA whilst working a full time job, you might even get your uni degree paid off for it. If you get cut from your pro team and you can’t get another contract you are unemployed. If you don’t make the GAA side one year you’ve still got a job at least. GAA is a much safer option which is why they take it over football.
As a Rovers fan, Moran definitely has the quality but can get lost in games very easily. Definitely not ready for even the Premier League by a long shot. Szmodics is quality though, will score goals no matter what

Anyone who applauded Kenny's hiring should forever keep quiet about the Irish national team manager. Imagine being daft enough to think Ireland should be playing like Man City or Liverpool with their squad.
The Irish golden generation - Kane, Grealish, Maddison - is essentially playing for England. Maybe it's time to copy Italy and have more ironclad 'jus sanguinis' laws to quickly call up players with ancestry ;-) P.S: Mate, you should have auditioned for the role of Packie McReary in GTA IV!
In the premier league, I do believe this team would survive, but there would be some absolutely devestating losses against Arsenal and Man City, if they actually stay with 3-4-2-1. I reckon place 14-16. That said; club football have better possibilities at shaping a team, so it's a hard thing to guess at. As for the future in Nations League, I do reckon this Ireland team WILL get a second place, and I wouldn't even be surprised if they draw or win against England at home. I do get the comments that claim Irish guy is delusional, but this time i think there is real reason to be optimistic. That said; replace szmodics with Franco Umeh before he chooses Nigeria. Absolute class and a name for the future that I believe would be amazing for this Ireland team
Even the first Irish national team's squad will be imperious when they meet our national team's current squad (seriously, Bobi Mihaylov ruined the Bulgarian football in the day he got the BFU's president spot).
At least you have some hope for the future. I'm Bulgarian and we have the worst ran federation in Europe, maybe the whole world, no current stars, no good up and coming youngsters, no teams that can qualify for even the Europa league, no facilities and stadiums and no hope for the future. So from my point of view every nation, including Ireland is way better of than us.

I disagree with Football being on the decline in Ireland - it's quite the opposite, the League of Ireland is experiencing it's highest attendances since the 80s and early 90s before the Premier League started to dominate Irish football fans lives.
This team is awful. Just cause their okay in the championship doesn't mean Jack.
this is the most championship team i've ever heard tf
There are rumours that Szmodics will be in the Hungary squad in march
Should have had a few caps by now
Can’t wait for the Irish Guy to do a full rant on how Szmodics was never good enough anyway when this happens 😂
We’ve all been waiting for this video 😂😂😂
I laughed so hard when I saw John O’Shea was appointed in the interim 😂 as I was looking forward to the rant
Congratulations in advance to Graham Potter, the new Ireland manager!
Steve Cooper.
Go get him.
On board with that
The idea alone of the video Irish guy would make for that appointment would be priceless. Other than that, former prem managers have landed in far more obscure positions after the fact.
@@isaacjones5687 You didn't have to tell it like it is Marge 😟
I’ve been waiting weeks for this rant😂
This Irish team would barely survive relegation, and that's if Forest and Everton get points deducted
We’d be lucky to survive the championship never mind the premier league
This team doesn't sound like a PL team. At best a playoff chasing Championship side imo
remove Ferguson and Kelleher that tam finishes 20th in League 1
Troy parrott is finding form again in erediversie could be good on the bench
So the option js
Play pro football for an average wage
Or play GAA whilst working a full time job, you might even get your uni degree paid off for it.
If you get cut from your pro team and you can’t get another contract you are unemployed.
If you don’t make the GAA side one year you’ve still got a job at least.
GAA is a much safer option which is why they take it over football.
Indeed, it’s easy being a big fish in a small pond, as they say.
Become manager then… I’d say that team would maybe finish 18th at most
We in Cymru don't even have a Golden Generation, just a bunch of kids who have the play for the Seniors & U21s at the same time.
Before watching the video: I've been waiting for this since I saw the news about the manager :D
Yo Irish guy
I am in Ireland 🇮🇪 for College from Nigeria🇳🇬
Much love❤
hell yeah dude nigeria rocks
As a Rovers fan, Moran definitely has the quality but can get lost in games very easily. Definitely not ready for even the Premier League by a long shot. Szmodics is quality though, will score goals no matter what
that team would 100% finish in the top 20 of the premier league - maybe top 18
Copper generation
i already said it's not county's fault it's the people's who running the country i still love the same republic of Ireland true talk yes
Michael, thats Carabao Cup winning Caoimhin.
Klopp to manage Ireland there is a lot of Liverpool fans in Ireland so and I'm actually friends with Jurgen you can trust me and he said yeah nah mate innit bun the one year break from football I'm just going to manage both Liverpool and Ireland like it's fifa
Time to run the sim on football manager
I remember watching that Ireland video when it was released thinking we’re just as bad (Scotland) now it’s all looking as great as it has in years with some proper players who aren’t even getting a game
Graham potter for the ireland job?
Just because it's an Irish golden generation doesn't mean it's a good team. O'shea will do fine for what's realistically expected of them.
I mean it could be worst. You could a US fan or Mexico coached by pe teachers
Real Maryland Monarchs. That's a name I never thought I'd hear uttered on a channel with over 100000 subscribers.
So soon as I saw this announcement I’ve been waiting for this video. We’re doomed
Anyone who applauded Kenny's hiring should forever keep quiet about the Irish national team manager. Imagine being daft enough to think Ireland should be playing like Man City or Liverpool with their squad.
Just start liking rugby 😂 you guys are amazing there
As someone who worked at Reading when both Clement and O’Shea were there you want John O’Shea running it over clement trust me
The Irish golden generation - Kane, Grealish, Maddison - is essentially playing for England. Maybe it's time to copy Italy and have more ironclad 'jus sanguinis' laws to quickly call up players with ancestry ;-)
P.S: Mate, you should have auditioned for the role of Packie McReary in GTA IV!
Please do not be worried as Sheamus boss and Finn Balor are professional Irish wrestlers, good friend Irish guy!!!🏋♂️
Shock of Shocks
The Irish Guy is revealed to be the next Ireland Manager
Good video . Well done
What happened to Obafemi 😢
Would like to see his reaction if Jose becomes the coach
No Roy Keane?
Even the first Irish national team's squad will be imperious when they meet our national team's current squad (seriously, Bobi Mihaylov ruined the Bulgarian football in the day he got the BFU's president spot).
At least you have some hope for the future.
I'm Bulgarian and we have the worst ran federation in Europe, maybe the whole world, no current stars, no good up and coming youngsters, no teams that can qualify for even the Europa league, no facilities and stadiums and no hope for the future.
So from my point of view every nation, including Ireland is way better of than us.
Irish Guy, you generally have good takes (or at the very least better than people think). You’ve been trashed more than you deserve. This is a horrible take. That team finishes 17th best case scenario, more likely 19-20.
Got Alex Murphy at Newcastle too
We don't have a golden generation. Simple as that.
Titi Henry should be Ireland manager
Bro Ireland are a decent championship slandered team and I think they will have a shock win against a decent team
Jake O'Brien, Sammy Szmodics and Anselmo Garcia McNulty. All Great, but not enough to save Ireland from Tier C sadly enough.
That team doesn’t get relegated, but finish 17th in the prem
It definitely gets relegated, on paper the squad is worse than Luton
He once played for Sunderland at one point
Sammy Szmidic would be mint only one of the current ireland 11 id keep are Ogbene,Scales,Browne, ferguson and Manning the rest can go
The Irish guy is Ireland and Newcastle’s version of AFTV
MacNutty? Oh I really hope he will make it to your national team, commentators will love it.
Maybe they should give Bo Svendsson a ring
Top heavy in goalkeeper and maybe central striker positions
Irish Guy for the Ireland job!
you are seriously saying some serious facts in this
He’s gonna turn out to be the next pep now
08:27 "ex Spurs" ? He is still a spurs player just on loan.
You didnt even mention Alex Murphy
How the fuck did Wales become the most competent Celtic nation? Was dreaming of it as a kid, still can't believe it's actually real
How they always get out groups when reach world cup beyhond me so lucky never had a golden generation
Mourinho would be the perfect choice!
I disagree with Football being on the decline in Ireland - it's quite the opposite, the League of Ireland is experiencing it's highest attendances since the 80s and early 90s before the Premier League started to dominate Irish football fans lives. League of Ireland also had it's best ever 2 seasons in Europe in the last 3 years.
Probably Ireland's most accomplished player.. Though doesn't matter who does it you'll still be munk.
The second this guy discovers Conor O'Riordan he's gonna go nuts about having the future greatest CB in the world
13:27 Pep Guardiola.
That team would be mid table championship at best
