I love these American Experience documentaries that show the dichotomy of famous people, their flaws, what shaped them, and how they handled the power they wielded... a power that consumed many cause in the end, they are just mortals who stood out, but mortals non the less

Maybe, consequently, I thought he was still alive. :( On a happier note, a baby African elephant was born recently at Louisville Zoo. One of the finalists in the naming contest was Walt. Yes, folks, after Mr. Disney, as per the submitter. Did the precious one have a bloodline from Disney’s Animal Kingdom? (The elephant’s name ended up being Fitz. You might say his name sent me into *Fitz* of giggles.)

The lesson I learned is that if you can put on being an authoritarian or ride on the success of a previous worthy publication you can sweep a whole class of people off their feet.
The story goes that they were SURE they were going to find a bunch of drama and dirt on him and they had set the mood of the production based on that. And then, in researching, they found nothing. But the dramatic BS mood of the piece was kept in place. It's why they focused so much on the red scare/union thing. It was the worst thing they could find on the guy.

Interesting pbs documentary about the man that made Mickey Mouse and movies like Mary Poppins, Cinderella, Lady and the Tramp, Fantasia, Bambi, Alice in Wonderland and Sleeping Beauty.
What one can observe from various clippings is a very well read knowledgeable person and with curious interests in various machine fields animatronics about dark side one can only see in fantasia among others hardly in his time it was always very clean good over bad themes content and very successful as being first in line of those creations sold very well over world
