@@s.saleem9936 well it's Palestine, but I am favour of 2 states and Muslim have to accept that it's not 12th century, Muslims cannot dictate terms, Israel's aren't settler, this is there land too, if Muslims disagree, let me give another facts where Muslims are settlers not converts, Turkish east is Armenian land till 1920, Kosovo is Serbian land, Albania Muslims started coming there after 1960s, Bosnia is also Serbian and Christian land and most there are settlers from Ottoman Empire which started establishing settelment there to stop uprising against Ottoman in 1800s..just giving you Example for lands of that areas.

I think you need to study the history of Islamic Andalucia, Spain. Jews considered Islamic rule to be their golden age. You should look up Musa Ibn Mamum (Maimonides) from that era. When the Spanish inquisition happened, Andalucian Jews sought protection with the Ottoman Caliph

If majority of Palestinians were against the creation of Israel then at the same time majority of hindus were also against creation of Pakistan. So if you support the cause of Palestine then you should oppose creation of Pakistan

you don't have to drag Indian and Indian heroes into this debate. The Indian state has always advocated for a 2 state solution and the current govt. follows the same policy. We consider Hamas a terror outfit and not a representative of the Palestinian people.

You didn't include the history of ancient Isreal and Judea, attack on them by Assyrians, Romans, Jew revolt against Romans, then attack by Christians and then Muslim Caliphates, then attack by Mamluks and finally Ottomans. You didn't include hundreds of pogroms they faced including the 1920 Arab one. This is in fact a civilizational war.

1. Muslims did not always hate Jews. Muslims protected Jews during the Spanish Inquisition, as well later on when Ottoman Sultans resettled many European Jews in North Africa to help them escape persecution. Hatred towards Jews is a 20th century construct, and the creation of the Zionist colonial state is the reason for it.
2. Yes most Jews in Israel are Mizrahi, but funny how the ones yielding all the power are Ashkenazi. Doesn't it make you wonder that this is just another program of Western Imperialism on the Jewish People.
3. Most Palestinians will accept the 1967 borders, but your right-wing Jewish groups will not and continue establishing settlements in the West Bank because they believe all the land is theirs. This is why this war continues.
4. Hammas was created in 1986 and Hezbollah in 1992, Israel has been brutalizing Palestinians since 1948 so this goes back well beyond these terrorist outfits were created.
5. Jerusalem is holy to Muslims, Jews and Chrsitians. Hence it needs to be shared, it does not just belong to Jews.

I had seen your twitter post comparing HAMAS terrorists with Bhagat Singh. Had come to believe (in hindsight foolishly) this guy was a rational voice so was hoping you would take that back and clarify there is no comparison with what HAMAS did to any freedom movement especially to Indian freedom movement. But was I wrong. Starts off by saying nobody can defend what HAMAS did and immediately proceeds to contextualizing and defending HAMAS actions.
I do believe Israel-Palestine conflict is complicated and Palestinians like any human being have a right to peace and security and so does Israelis. But what is unmistakable is one side wants to live in peace and prosper while the other side wants to eradicate them completely with extreme hatred and violence.
I am seeing so many of these protests on behalf of Palestinians in major cities of the world and yet to see even one "Not in my Name" placard criticizing HAMAS. I only see celebrations at worst and defence at best. Sorry this way they lose any moral high ground or sympathy they had.

There is so much unbelievably wrong with the timing of the video, and producing any kind of equivalency between Bhagat Singh and Hamas. I went through some of your replies, and here is what I have to say:
a) Hamas has committed unspeakable attrocities against ordinary Israeli citizens, including the elderly, women, and infants. As it is a war zone, confirming some attrocities is difficult, but many of them are widely documented. Denying them, as you have in a reply is fundamentally immoral.
b) When people are standing with Israel right now, they are standing against Hamas - not Palestine; however, with folk on the Palestinian side of this issue, using this moment to either justify the violence against Israel (justification by grievance or justification by retaliation); does not even REMOTELY assist the Palesinian cause. At that point, the perception that Palestine "supporters" are pro-terrorism easily emerges, and gravely damages the cause. You can be simultaneously anti-Hamas, anti-Zionist, pro-Palestinian; there is enough space in this issue to have that kind of nuance. These kinds of justifications (by grievance) were used against the US when 9/11 happened; and that was not right then either. That attack did not spur any kind of affection towards the causes of disaffected folk in the Middle East; it just made things infinitely worse for them, as this attack will make things infinitely worse for Palestinians. Israel may even use this as an opportunity to further justify land expansion and violence against innocent Palestinians; and folk like you allow that to happen by having such a borderline-stupid takes, as you make your side of the argument look pro-terrorism instead of anti-colonialism. It's much easier to strawman your side of the issue, and take advantage for the pro-Zionist side.
If the Indian freedom movement decided to bomb innocent English civilians, we would never have gained our independence. We won because we did things righteously (depending on which side of the political aisle you are on, either we won it through non-violence and legislative action or because of the Azad Hind Fauj and the Naval Mutiny; the latter two also only focused on military targets NOT civilian targets)
c) Bhagat Singh is an Indian Independence Hero, not Pakistani. It's just what it is, even if he was born in what is now Pakistan, does not make him any more Pakistani than Manmohan Singh, for example. Jinnah was born in Mumbai, that does not make him Indian. Our countries were split on religion and values. The values of India align far closer to Bhagat Singh than the values of Pakistan, pretending otherwise is malicious intellectual dishonesty, and nothing short of it. Yes, he was called a terrorist by the British, for killing a police officer (mistakenly the wrong one), but he did not mass target innocent British civilians, and neither did any other Indian Independence Fighter. Hamas did. They, as a matter of policy, went after innocent civilians to set up prisoner swaps and to instil fear. That makes them a terrorist group. Do not set up any kind of equivalency between the two.
d) Hamas' attack does not therefore justify the mass bombing of Gaza, in the exact same way that Israel's occupation does not justify Hamas' attack; that is a stand you can take. That is a moral stance. I am sorry, but any other stance that allows the justification of violence, especially of that kind is exceptionally psychopathic, and speaks volumes about the moral character of the person holding these views, or a group of people holding these views. You may want to revisit your moral analysis of this event.
Where have I denied Hamas's atrocities? Did you not watch the video where I condemned and denounced them?
@ThePakistanExperience Literally at the start of the video, you do say that you shouldn't promote terrorist attacks, but then go on to provide context, and therefore tacitly suffuse justification throughout the video by documenting Israel's attrocious human rights record. What Israel has done is wrong, what the US did to the Middle East was wrong, and what the UK did to us was wrong; but in no one in their right mind would say: Yes, 9/11 is condemnable... BUT the US...
There is no "context" needed for acts of terrorism, it's just immoral. This video did not need to be made. It's just a quiet way of demonstrating support for Hamas' cause. After the attacks were launched, and with the scale with which they were launched; would anyone seriously think that Israel should just keep quiet, let their civilians be taken, and keel over and die? I assert, that in the same way 9/11 indirectly caused the death of thousands of Iraqi lives, this Hamas attack will also indirectly cause the death of thousands of Palestinians. Terrorist groups do not care about the human cost and consequence of their actions, they think in the short-term. Every Palestinian death that occurs after this attack on the Yom Kippur anniversary/Simchat Torah, is now on Hamas' hands. This is not to say that I am removing the agency of Israel in this matter, nor the agency of the US during the Iraq war. They are responsible for allowing that kind of hatred to fester through their own actions. This attack by Hamas will only weaken any popular support for the Palestinian cause, and certainly only cause the deaths of millions of Palestinian lives. By conflating the war between Israel and Hamas, with the Israel-Palestine issue, through the addition of unnecessary context (terror has no need for context due to its moral insufficiency), you allow the pro-Palestine argument to be tainted with the gory hues of terrorism. That's my problem.
If history shows us anything, it's that the only way to fight off colonisers/oppressors, is to do so righteously. As it was in India, in South Africa, in the United States (in the context of African-Americans). Even if it is done through violent means, you do so targeting the military, NOT civilians. Hamas, and other related groups do not understand it. One can ponder why they are able to in their own heads justify the death of innocent Israeli civilians, and why other independence movements have not, and what the difference between the two are. This is my point. One cannot muster popular support through immoral action. Independence/anti-oppressor movements NEED popular support to be successful, and this is especially true in the case of where the oppressor is much MUCH stronger, and has the ability to maintain hard power in the given region.
To add to this, and this is something that has been missed out on other discussions of this escalation. The war was started by Hamas on a day holy to the Jewish community. At that point, they are not just signaling that they want "independence", they are ACTIVELY signaling anti-Semitism. This is not just pro-Independence/anti-colonialism, it's actively anti-semitism. Hamas' leaders have repeatedly chanted "death to Jews", and cited certain Hadiths arguing theologically-justified antagonism towards the Jewish people. Anti-semitism is something that has long contaminated and therefore weakened any moral claim held by Palestine, and now with Hamas' attack, it will further weaken any claim it has.

He painted the history of the conflict in a manner (morally) favourable to Zionists. Should I therefore, using your framework here not criticise that either? When a news agency publishes an article, no matter how factual and 'unbiased' it is, it performs a political act because it chose to highlight one 'happening' against all others (assuming limited space). In the same way, you publishing 'history', which highlights some things, and does not highlight others, becomes a political act - demonstrates one's political leanings, and therefore tacitly justifies Hamas' attacks (in the eyes of the average person), even if you formally "condemn" it. You yourself said "What should the Palestinian people do?"
Obviously, the answer is: not this. This has further maligned the Palestinian cause, and swayed those who are 'independent' into agreeing with a kind of cleansing of the Gaza strip, and unfortunately those who lean left, those who support Palestine, have allowed their position to be straw-manned due to the timing and nature of their communication. It's much easier now to say "Anyone who supports the Palestinian cause implicitly or explicitly supports terrorism", and this is a position that looks to be gaining traction across the West, and unfortunately in India as well (which has had its own long and robust history with terrorism). You have contributed to that. This attack has done NOTHING to support the Palestinian cause and actively hurt it, and your video alongside your protests has not either. Palestinians will die, and Gaza likely will see one of the greatest human rights atrocities after the Iraq War.
This is not the moment to say "Free Palestine" or publish videos on Palestinian suffering. The correct response would've been to say "What Hamas is done is absolutely wrong, let it not escalate further". That's it. If you aren't willing to hear me out on this, prominent left-wingers in the US such as Hasan Piker have said the same thing.

Let me clear something up. I love you Shehzad but don't you dare drag the name of Indian revolutionaries with the likes of the corrupted terrorist leaders of Hamas. I will have to give you a history lesson since you dont seem to get it in your junk of an education system. South Asian supporters of Palestine are quick to point that Indian revolutionaries were considered terrorists by British. There is a clear definition that the likes of Bhagat Singh had to differentiate between terrorists and revolutionaries. A revolutionary's action are always against the state and never the civilian. Through their actions they do symbolic protest to inspire the people. Their actions are never to intimidate or terrorize the public of the oppressor state. It is purely symbolic. Their actions were never violent against the British public. This is why we were blessed as a nation to produce leaders of such high ideals who got us our Independence. That's what Palestine has lacked throughout its history. Moral men who looked beyond the boundries of religion or nation and appealed to the humanity of the others.

I really used to like Shehzad and used to watch his podcats for good insigts into Pakistan and for his ability to present both the aspects of an issue. But this video was eye opener. He twisted and turned the facts and presented just one side, to suit his ideology and line of thinking.
Maybe not his fault, maybe he is only taught the on side, maybe his morals were conditioned a certain way.
