OMG the story of your Miss Piggy paper dolls totally reminded me of a story with me and my husband.... so when we watch "Toy Story 3" he cried like a baby at the end. When he was a kid, his mom would ask him and his brother to get rid of toys they didn't want anymore and they would donate them to children that needed toys. Because my husband is such a sweet guy, he donated his second favorite toy (he couldn't give up his teddy bear, of course). It was a plush Alf doll. He wanted another kid who needed it more to have it. He told me this story after we saw the movie. I knew I had to get him another one. I went onto Ebay... and I didn't realize there were different sizes of Alf dolls, but I started bidding on one, and I just felt like it was the right one. The bidding got intense at the last few seconds, but I won the Alf doll! I gave it to him for one of our anniversaries, and he started crying again -- apparently I had chosen the exact same one that he had given away as a little boy. Anyway sorry for the long comment, but I just had to share that story with you. I love you and I think you're amazing and I wish I lived closer because I feel like we would be besties.
I LOVE the idea of doing something special at the end of every week in isolation. We need these things to look forward to and to help us through it. Also the Ed/Miss Piggy story might be the sweetest thing I've ever heard ❤️
I love all spanish accents and lingos! All the differences and idiosyncrasies are beautiful! They each tell a story, give off a distinct characteristic that is unique and beautiful. Even within one country, from estado, pueblo, rancho, to la ciudad, they differ dramatically. ❤️
If I’m in a bad mood I watch your video and you just make me smile 😃. U remind me of my friend who is from Chile and she always made me smile. Do what you do Fran and that accent of yours is the sweetest thing.
I just stood under a magnolia tree today and gazed up in awe! I was on the phone with my mom and described it to her and she told me what kind of tree it was. They are so, so beautiful.
This video made my day, i love to spend some time with Fran, is always so heartwarming and even more in this days of quarantine in my country , hugs to you Fran
I always feel better when other people say they too need 'me time'. I work from home and now my family is here with me too, so I'm spending 100% of the time with people, and that can get overwhelming at times.
I got mild anxiety too After almost two months quarantine in my home. I went out with my siblings just doing some errands and groceries today. After that I watch your video, definitely made my day. Thank you my loves. Your video surely help me get through this situation.
Fran, my favorite thing about your videos is I feel like I'm revisiting a show from my childhood. It's so calming and makes me happy just watching. I feel like I'm hanging out with an old friend. I hope that makes sense. It's very nostalgic for me. Also, it's so peaceful to spend time with you.
I bought your planner last year and I saved it for 2020. That would be my awesome year, hence needed a great planner. Not it's more like a diary of how I spend my time :))
Loved so much in this video, thank you. Love that both you and Ed wear headphones at home, the Miss Piggy getting stuck on the bus story was wonderful. Your art is beautiful. Soooo satisfying to watch. Perfection. Thank you xxxxx
I’ve been watching your videos for so long now and never commented it! And these times are so weird for everyone so I thought it would be great to send gratitude and love to people that we admire. So thank you so much for all your love that you put in your work and share it with all these people around the world! I don’t even draw or illustrate but I’m just thankful that you share your world with us! Greetings from Brazil and much love from here 💜
Fran, I appreciate you working on things in spite of an odd situation we're in right now! You mentioned about still using your planner these days reminded me of planning my week out last Sunday, and I got so productive on Monday! But today's Friday, and it went downhill 😂anyways, your videos are so relaxing.
That gesture while kissing your fingers in order to express how the coffee was great! It's soooooo Italian Fran ☺ Thank you for what you said about the time studying graphic design. It reminds us on the real sense of making art that's far from the thing of working only with the coolest tools around. It's so easy to fall into this fear of not having enough, not using the right tablet and bla bla bla. So now I'm getting back drawing because you've inspired me. Baci from Italy 😚
I love magnolias too. When we lived in Minnesota, we had a row of them - all different kinds. I didn't know this before I saw a girlfriend do it, but she had taken branches with big buds on them, stuck them in water, and they blossomed INSIDE amazingly! I hadn't know you could do that.
So good to see you in good health and spirits. I am excited to see your graphic novel! Hope to buy a copy one day. Please stay healthy. All my best to you and your Ed
I’m so addicted to animal crossing, I have been neglecting my drawings so, seeing you do the responsible thing first has inspired me to open my watercolor sketch book and just fool around. Stay safe you nice human!
I get myself a slice of cake every time I go to the grocery store, just to do a little something nice for myself because I live alone and can't see anyone in while self isolating. The cake helps! That bubble tea sounds amazing, I might look out for some tapioca on my next outing :)
Thank you for hanging in there Fran and Ed. And, for getting your work done at home. Your doing great work from home. I like the pink underpainting. I drew a Luna moth and it sucked. So, I’m going to try again. I didn’t care that the mirror is dirty, cuz I want to see you in the face, lol
Thank you so much for the video. I'm really enjoying them, especially now! Nothing wrong with using a planner if it's right for you. It's not a waste of time at all.
I work from home. I’m used to spending weeks at a time at home and I would be lost without my planner. My days are similar but never the same. I think it also would show people just what there days are actually like on lockdown and they may be surprised just how much they do. Keep safe and strong xxx
I actually have a sort of similar story to your Ms. Piggy story. I have a tiny Rosita doll (she was from Sesame Street) that I always had with me, and that I kept in a mint tin. One day our family car was stolen, and my Rosita was in it. I didn't realize immediately that that was the case (I was only eight(ish) years old at the time) and I put missing signs all over the house. Last year I decided to look for her on ebay, and I was finally able to bring her home.
Fran, your videos are always so calming! Thank you, I always feel so much better after watching! And I couldn't help but tear up when you were talking about Ed giving you the paper doll set as a Christmas present ;____; I'm a Brazilian with a very basic understanding of Spanish, and I've been to Chile, Argentina and Uruguay. I've found Chilean Spanish so so much easier to understand! I also miss Chile the most
Thank you for this video! I had a great time watching it! I very much enjoy the background music and also the fact that you talk so causally I feel like I'm listening to a friend! 💕 You are a treasure! 🌼
Any French nerds here who, when Fran said her fav flowers were magnolias, started having good old Claude François' Magnolia Forever song stuck in their head..? No one ? OK.
Tus videos me relajan, me motivan a dibujar y además practico mi ingles 💛. Amor para ti y Ed (con mi pareja escuchamos sus podcast y siempre nos quedamos reflexionando acerca de lo que hablan ajaj). Asi que nos acompañan más de lo que creo que son conscientes 👀.
You know what's interesting...I find myself using my planners more consistently now during these times! I used to struggle with it before, but I honestly feel the need for the planner now because I don't have my daily routine to structure most errands around. I have to structure that routine myself a bit more than before.
We have a mini Magnolia in front yard....love them!!!!!!!! Where I use to live...there is a place that has a drive way of Manoglias on either side...been there for donkeys years....ages.
OMG that story of the Miss Piggy paper doll! 😭💖😭💖 Also, I think it's a great idea to "celebrate" making it through each week of quarantine... I might have to go order some boba now.
When you said Mexicans have the best Spanish I was like awwwwww Thank you! But also LOL we can have really weird Spanish too depending on what part of Mexico you are at.
I'm stunned you don't like the editing part - that's my favorite part of being a creator on UA-cam - I LOVE editing!!!! I've learned a lot from you too btw - big fan!!!!
Fran... You inspire me sooo much. I'm a teacher but always wanted to become a illustrator... I want to start a yt channel about drawing but I don't know how to start... I hope I will find inspiration ! greetings from France ;)
Oh Fran, I share your sadness about losing your Ms.Piggy toys. During a trip with my family when I was 4, I had a Ms.Piggy doll. Back then, they still had a line of phone booths against the wall in airports. I was having so much fun running in and out of them pretending to call people. My parents called me to leave and I just ran to them leaving Ms.Piggy behind. 😢It was definitely a deeply sad memory for me but now, it’s a memory that reminds me of how tender and lovely it is to be a child. 🥰
Love your videos, Fran. Glad you and Ed are safe and healthy. Its a lonely time but having your life partner and a pet or two makes it so much better. 🥰 I know you guys are vegan. Would love it if you share some of your meals and snacks. After a month, I am running out of ideas. lol
That’s funny about Chilean Spanish. I’m reading Alejandro Zambra at the moment (in English) and he has alluded to it. I love hearing about little eccentricities of different countries and regions like that.

OOOOOOOMG I'M SO JELLY hahahahahaha
Ed is a keeper. The alone time and the gift. Beautiful!
I LOVE the idea of doing something special at the end of every week in isolation. We need these things to look forward to and to help us through it. Also the Ed/Miss Piggy story might be the sweetest thing I've ever heard ❤️

I looooved paper dolls as child so much! I used to make my own with the help of my aunt. I've been thinking about making them again.
I just stood under a magnolia tree today and gazed up in awe! I was on the phone with my mom and described it to her and she told me what kind of tree it was. They are so, so beautiful.
I was really moved by the way you touched that plant in your studio.
This video made my day, i love to spend some time with Fran, is always so heartwarming and even more in this days of quarantine in my country , hugs to you Fran
Sending love! You are an amazing person Fran! Thank you for sharing your life and art with us!
I always feel better when other people say they too need 'me time'. I work from home and now my family is here with me too, so I'm spending 100% of the time with people, and that can get overwhelming at times.
"Every day feels different, every day is different because I'm doing different things in every day" 🙃 haha you're adorable!
i watch your videos at least 3-4 times, because they always make me feel better and less alone. thank you
I got mild anxiety too After almost two months quarantine in my home. I went out with my siblings just doing some errands and groceries today. After that I watch your video, definitely made my day. Thank you my loves. Your video surely help me get through this situation.

Ugh watching Fran draw is so satisfying like the lines are drawn so smoothly and slowly and everything comes out so perfectly and just 24:23
I bought your planner last year and I saved it for 2020. That would be my awesome year, hence needed a great planner. Not it's more like a diary of how I spend my time :))
The University I went to was filled with Magnolia trees. The pink ones with no leaves. Stunning. I would often stare at them.
Loved so much in this video, thank you. Love that both you and Ed wear headphones at home, the Miss Piggy getting stuck on the bus story was wonderful. Your art is beautiful. Soooo satisfying to watch. Perfection. Thank you xxxxx
i love it when yall speak spanish! you showed me the beauty of the chilean accent/dialect! :)
