CAT6 cable should be used to RS485 communication. CAT6 is the recommended cable for ethernet and RS485 communication. However, I have used simple copper flexible 3 wire, 0.5 sq. mm cable for communication. This is also working fine as distance is short in our project.
It is recommended in the user manual of Scanner module to connect 100 ohm resistance, if we are using it for 4-20mA signal. This Scanner module has universal type input, it means it can accept 0-10VDC / 4-20mA / RTD signal / Thermocouple signal. Whatever type of input signal we are connecting, we need to do program setting also in the scanner module. However, when we connect 4-20mA to PLC analog input module, we don't need any resistance.
Wow perfect, Nice explanation.
thanks, very good
dear sir can you do the same with mitsubishi fx3u plc. if possible then plz upload here with programming explanation
what is the type of cable you are using rs-485 communication? Can cat 6 cable be used for rd-485?

Hi will you please upload a video for modbus communication for Delta or Siemens PLC....
I will do as soon as I will get Delta PLC in our stock.
Automation Training Centre thank you☺️☺️
nice video sir
why connect the 100 ohm resistance across analog input 4-20mA?
