My Grandather served under the 4th Armored Division in the Battle of the Bulge where he was shot and earned a purple heart. This event means a lot!

My grandfather was there with the 28th ID. While he would talk about some WWII battles, Normandy and the Bulge were two he always kept to himself other than confirming he was there.

When I was a youngster, I had a Sunday School teacher who was a member of the 106th. He was captured on the first or second day of the battle. The only reason I knew the 106th was from a game called "Tigers in the Snow".

I'm a bit confused as to the 7th AD convoy mentioned at the 6:20 mark. I thought they were units of the 14th Cavalry Group that were ambushed by KG Hansen of the 1st SS Panzer Division near Poteau on the 18th. The Germans filmed the aftermath with the footage being almost part and parcel of any documentary on the battle.
