At 5:53, after going through the sequence valve, couldn't the oil take the side path going through the bypass check valve and just end up going in a loop through the sequence valve instead of going into the cylinder like we want it to?

I don't know much about hydraulic but my problem is the inlet& return pipe from valve block is putting hydraulic on the cylinder
