I love how The Mask in one of the few times gets genuinely serious and sane as he listens to Stanley explaining what happened to Milo the dog they both love and care about and also that if he does not do something, then he will end up in a museum forever which he does it straightaway. It pretty much shows just what a good-hearted and kind man The Mask really is by saving someone he loves and cares about.
Yeah, I very much respect him as well, since he’s chaotic and wild, but is a harmless, good-hearted trickster who is a lot more orderly than he appears to be and is very cute as well.🥰💕
I think what many people are forgetting is that of course the mask cares and is a good person; he's still Stanley. If he were on someone else's face, he wouldn't care. Remember that the mask itself is an embodiment of chaos and is only as dangerous as the person who wears it. It's just that Stanley's version is the most tamed and least violent. I really like how Stanley stands up to the mask in this scene and he's usually a doormat to everyone else. Even more impressive on the fact that I'm pretty sure no one has ever talked down to the mask like this (he's other wearers are usually afraid of him or too far gone to stand up to it). I love how Stanley puts the mask in it's place and reminds him whose in charge. The mask may have godly magic powers, but without a face to latch on to, it's just a piece of wood.
True that if the Mask of Loki is on Stanley’s face he is partly still Stanley, but I think that the Mask of Loki does care about Stanley even if he always wanted to pull a wedgie on Stanley, and when Dr. Neuman was wearing it, it actually didn’t remove his fear of dogs, showing that though it is a weapon of chaos and destruction, it prefers to be good and funny instead of evil, as it doesn’t like being used for evil possibly after centuries, it just wants to have a host that is good-hearted and kind like Stanley and Evelyn as well, as it does let them be in control most of the time, and doesn’t like any evil mask personas that it creates as it saw what happened with Dr. Neuman who became a cartoonish, psychotic and delusional madman, which is when it decides not to remove his fear of dogs as it usually does with those who have fears and anxieties, then it shows itself to be alive and self-aware as it is aware that Stanley tried to control it with a sister mask, but proves it doesn’t work and as shown when Stanley tells him Milo is sick and that he had something to do with it, he actually looks guilty and doesn’t actually try to turn the TV off mostly because it can see that Stanley is not in the mood to be messed around with, but partly because that it cares about and loves Milo like Stanley, along with in several episodes before, it actually lives in Stanley’s apartment and has its own hobbies, habits and things to do, even though it could have lived somewhere that is more to its style, showing how sweet, kind and humble the Mask of Loki really is after centuries of being used as weapon for evil and destruction.
I’m amazed how Stanley finally stands his ground very well to give his “other self” a proper warning and boy does the Mask take it seriously 😳 Good for you Stanley! Let’s hope Mask gets it right through his brain and remembers that line very well of what Stanley warns him and Milo’s so cute he must be saved
Well The Mask may live in a world of his own at times, but when his friends, the people in Edge City and his dog are in danger, he always will save the day and though he may want to pull a wedgie on Stanley, he does genuinely care about him and loves him like a little brother, so therefore though Stanley give him a stern warning of what will happen if he doesn’t save Milo, another reason is he also cares about that dog like he is his kid as well which is shown before in previous episodes, and that makes him so very much adorable.💕🥰
It also shows how much the Mask of Loki likes to be attached to Stanley because of his sweet and kind nature towards others, showing just how much it cares about and love Stanley.🥰

I love the 1st movie, the animated series and the comics. I like the dark feel and violence from the original comics but both the movie and this series have a special place in my heart because i watched them a lot as a kid.

And the police chase where he basically murdered everyone including a poor cop that he shot in the crotch.
