Salt lamps are toxic to cats because they contain high levels of sodium. The accessibility that cats can have to salt lamps can be a big issue as well. Cats like to climb and be on elevated surfaces and if they see a new glowing pink lamp, they may be inclined to discover what it is.
I had a salt lamp many years ago, and my cats never bothered it. But, there are many articles online warning about the dangers of salt toxicity in dogs and cats who take a lick, and decide they like it. As with potato chips, you can never have just one!
Hello! I have read that salt lamps can be dangerous to cats due to salt toxicity (some like to lick them). That’s why I got rid of mine, I’m super paranoid. I just wanted to let you know, because maybe there is a high up place they can’t get to that you could place it. Or maybe it could go into a glass cabinet? I don’t know, anyways, I spend all my time worrying about my cats and all the ways they can hurt themselves 😢😂😢
@@LuckyFeralsoh holy crap…yeah I let UA-cam just play in my living room to keep me company and I let your videos play cuz they’re relaxing…but I need to check the dates! I wish UA-cam would play the newer ones. I’m glad the lamp worked out! I’m also super paranoid about plants in the house and herbs and flowers outside, so many things seem to be poisonous to them. Maybe I just really need to have a book called, “how to cat proof your house, for paranoid people.” Kind of like toddler proofing.
I have a friend actually who has to kitten proof her house…they get in the fridge. She ties a stretchy cord from a cabinet to the fridge handle. Funny enough, I have severe OCD, and there is a book about a woman with severe OCD called “Is Fred in the Refrigerator?” One of her OCD obsessions was that her cats would get trapped in the fridge. Mine is getting trapped in the oven :( Anyways, I swear I’m not crazy, love your channel and the precious fur babies. Thank you for how hard you work for them.
I know you couldn't predict or know anything about hydrox but I wish she could've been inside her last few months 😢 but she was still comfortable thanks to you.
Yes, but she might not have been happy with that. Remember, she was 14 years old, and had spent her entire life outside. Sometimes it’s better to obey their wishes.
Ya there's nothing ti be done that late, she just looked so broken down toward the end. Hard to rewatch not your fault at all. She was definitely feral still
I’m so excited I get to chat with everybody tonight
All the cats are amazing and cute. Precious 🐈⬛🐈⬛🖤🖤☀️😻🐈🐈

I never had an issue with the cats and the salt lamp. They are not attracted to it at all.
