Never a 'big fish' person- Lake Victorians about the largest I ever had, but I have a TON of respect for Rusty W. Met the gentleman once a long time ago. Great guy. And WHAT AN AMAZING fish house! Great job with the filming as well.
Great video, just wish I could see them in person. I can only imagine how beautiful the fish are in real life. Thanks for sharing, much appreciated. Happy fishkeeping.
So many beautiful fish. The thorichthys he has look stunning. And after hearing him talk at the last aquatic experience, he was the inspiration for me to incorporate geothermal when I build my fish room.
What an incredible treat it is to see the Wessel Fish House!! WOW the fish and their setups!! Breathtaking for sure!! This tour and having the opportunity of seeing some of these fish literally makes my heart skip a beat ♥️ The plants , the ecosystems, the natural lighting and the thought put into the care of these fish and the aquariums is beyond words!! Thank you so much Chris for letting us come along!! Absolutely phenomenal!! I hope you're having a very blessed weekend! Much Love🙏🌿🐟🌿💚
Awe did you assume nobody wanted to see that awesome koi pond? I always remember videos of his huge koi pond with wood fire heater!!! Does he still have it???
Hi Chris greetings from London U K Rusty fish house is more like a public fish museum. He must be real wealthy Lol 😆 great vid look forward to more from you. Especially if you can do Wild Livebrearers which is what I am keeping
@@ryanrogers8211 perhaps I should clarify. He does sell to wholesalers large quantities just not to individuals. He also donates fish to every club he speaks at as well as the American Cichlid Association convention and American Livebearer convention
Never tire of seeing rusty’s fish house 🏡
It’s like Mecca to a new world cichlid keepe
Nicely done Chris 👍👍👍

It is really cool to see. I saw it during a side trip when ACA was in Louisville a few years back and one during a local fish club meeting.
Beautiful! That’s one of my dreams ! A fish room.

Fantastic, really enjoyed it, super fish room thanks Paul (England )

Words can not describe how amazing that fish house is. Thank you;for the tour.
I really need to go back again hopefully soon and do a more detailed tour
@@themadaquarist Please do that!!!
Absolute dream to visit it
It really is. I’m truly fortunate to call him my friend
Thanks for the tour.
That is such a wonderful facility. Many humans are likely jealous of the fish. :)
Jim
Thank you kindly always Jim

Sadly I missed the tour of his fishouse during one of the Cincy ACA conventions. Went to a Hofbrau House instead 😁
ACA I’m sure will be heading back there soon enough so you shall have another chance
I’ve had to make a excuse at work to watch this if I get sacked Biggs I blame you ......
Awesome video, never tire of seeing this impressive fishroom. Was there a fly river turtle I saw in the one tank in the corner?
Yes it was. A gift from Gary Bagnal of Zoo Med I believe
Does Mr. Wessel ever sell fish?
No he does not
Not a single "nuclear wessel" joke... Soooo disappointed. Amazing place, thanks for sharing with us!
Lol there’s always next time I guess
Does Rusty sell to the public?
No he does not
@@themadaquarist that's unfortunate because that would help Cichlids in the long run.
@@ryanrogers8211 perhaps I should clarify.

@@outnumberedacresthelittleb2665 wow that’s great to hear!
Biggs what plants are those he keeps?
He has numerous cacti all over the fish house
@@themadaquarist sorry should have specified :) in almost every tank he has a long leafy plant
Looks great and doesn’t seem like the cichlids mess with it much
@@jasonmillwood2893 in the tanks are all
Just silk or plastic plants. Most of his species would destroy plants. Either eat or just dig up
@@themadaquarist yeah I was thinking they would! Lol now I know why they look so good 😊
And I thought my old basement fish room was neat.
Every fishroom holds treasure within
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful place with us the fish are absolutely amazing
