I stayed in one in the Maldives for our 20th wedding anniversary and it was the best vacation of my life. It was absolutely incredible and I dream of returning some day. It is absolutely not true about being stuck in the room. Most islands have all kinds of water sports, organic gardens, boat tours, snorkeling and restaurants/bars.
We are going to Bora Bora and staying at an over water bungalow. Although it is expensive we skipped many vacations during the covid years so we can justify the expense.
There are pipes under the bungalows and under the pier. These pipes travel to the main resort waste location then under the ocean sandy bottom to a facility.
And regarding the electricity. Most Maldivian islands has diesel generators which can produce electricity for whole island. They take diesel from the capital city of Male. Some more ecological islands such as Soneva Fushi have dieselgenerators + solar panels to be more gentle to nature :)
@@rachelt8112 it dries out their skin and hair and they are scared of Sharks ! and these days ... fewer people actually know how to swim ! most schools in the USA no longer teach swimming lessons
My question is.. why are you stuck in your bungalow when it rains? Aren’t these bungalows usually part of a resort? Can’t you still get to the resort if it rains??
🎉🥳👏👏👏❤ What a great work !..You video is so beautifully done and very informative. Thank you. Im so glad I found you. Please, keep up your great work ❤🙌
If you are a loud love maker, forget it...they will send an employee to tell you to tone it down. The employee will most likely see you in the act. We were in a bungalow over a lagoon and my then girl was nuts. You can stay in in Mexico for about 400 to $700 per night, all inclusive....plus you can go to the Maya ruins.
going to french Polynesia this coming December, staying at Hilton Moorea for 4 days then cruise with Paul Gauguin cruises for 7 days. March we will be in Maldives 8 days in 2 all-inclusive resorts.
Dont forgot nr. 11. Most run around whit smartphones and take pics of everything, incl. you. And drones get more and more popularer. So the last rest of privacy, even in a beach villa isent there longer…
As for #2: Vacations without children are a BLESSING!

how deep was the water?
I don't care. I'm going to one of these and I'm going to enjoy every second of it. So take that 🙆🏾♂️
"So take that"! 🤣
Yeah
Same

Can you please make a video to show how the Toilets and water systems of overwater Bungalow works?
I’ve been trying to find UA-cam videos of that and the sewage
Number 2 is not an issue for me. In fact I prefer adult only resorts
I kinda want to be bored on vacation
So lets get this straight: 3 different groups of people invented bungalows over water? All 3 were the first?

Perfect no children. My kind of vacation
No children is great!
"over the water bungalows" exist from the origin of civilization and were known as palafitos, Americans don't invented it
Exactly! We have had them since the days of Adam. #AfricanStoriesRetold ua-cam.com/video/QcWkY2rB128/v-deo.html
Americans aye…if they didn’t invent it,then it doesn’t exist hahahaha smfh!
We stayed in pullman for 5 nights..2 br villa over the water and its heaven..its Paradise and my best holiday ever..❤️🥂
I’m a writer. This would be the perfect place to pen that novel 📚
We stayed in one of these at Sandals South coast in Jamaica in 2020 and 2021 and loved it!
How is the privacy really in these things? Can you really hear your neighbors?
sounds like a lot of FUD to me thanks Karen!
Number 3, surely they could swim underneath and wipe it clean with fresh water?
Ur just jealous that you can’t go. It’s not “bored” its completely new and fun as you get to explore lmao
How about bathroom? Where does toilet waste go? And where does the electricity come from in Maldives?
